Is it allowed to ask here if people have abused ID/SID combo's on a flashcart? Diabolico explained how ID/SID abuse works, and Kiebin helped me a lot too, but I keep hitting the wrong delay/seconds. Who can help me?

Sometimes when you enter your calls into Search Elm you'll notice that the results you get sometimes skips a few of the first calls.

For example:

If the results you're aiming for are P K P E E K P E K E, sometimes you'll get P E E K P E K E.. meaning you started on frame 3.

kay, so I'm still trying to RNG in platinum for Crown Raikou wondercard HP ICE 70.


so using seed 2A0C029F with target frame 513 from the guide for wondercard RNG abuse.


So..... I put the seed in seed to time finder and picked target time.

2011 January 3rd at 12:25:14

calibration for me got 14 seconds 596-608 delay

So. I hit soft reset at 12:25:00.

Hit target time and I should have hit target seed.

now journal pops up magically on its own.

RNG advances should be 513-0-1 = 512

this means journal flips should be 512/2 = 256

this is assuming that when journal pops up I'm at frame 1, yes?

amIdoinitright guys?

Yes, looks like you got it. Remember that Journal only advances the frame when the page has caught/defeated "Pokemon" in it.

Also...should probably pick a lower frame seed...since you might have to do this more than one time to get it in DPPt.

Haven't figured out how to find my own seed yet, just using what was provided in the guide. I don't mind flipping.

Also: I thought that a caught/defeated pages advanced it by two/four and all others just one/two or something. maybe I read it wrong.


assuming you are correct, I can have two pages next to each other like that and just flip between the two?
 
Yes erasmus, that's correct and usually the preferred method :)

Normally in DPPt, you would use coin flips to verify your delays...but since pokemarts have NPCs that will affect your frame, kyou can't verify your delay without messing up your frame and vice versa. This is why Wondercard is a pain to do in DPPt.

did you mean verify seed, by chance, rather than delay?

if, no, then I'm kinda confused as I don't know how delay factors into things :B
 
No, I meant verify delay. But I guess if you use it synonymously it wouldn't affect anything. A seed has a particular delay, so yeah, lol.
 
How can you know what your starting frame is?

I am trying to breed a 30/31/31/30/31/31 Shiny Modest Cyndaquil

My target seed is 051601F8. Target time: 8-30-2005 22:06:15 Frame: 9 Delay: 499

I got the correct results for Elms Calls if I skipped the first three. But, RNG Reporter didn't say that three calls were going to be skipped. I decided to try anyways.

I got a HP Dragon Cyndaquil when I was supposed to get a HP Grass one

I have no roamers.
 
So I've tried hitting a couple of different seeds on my raikou wonder card. I've gotten pretty consistent results on both, the only problem being that the spreads consistently hit for each seed are not what they should be. So either the target frame for the seeds on the wonder card article are wrong, the spreads for the seeds listed are wrong, or I'm doin it consistently wrong. I'm gonna try and find my own seeds to use probably tomorrow night, but tonight at least I know that I can hit a consistent seed and frame for my wonder card.
