Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

ok so after initial calibration I got 13 seconds and a delay of 495, that sounds insanely low for me considering that my average delay in DPPt was 624ish. Should I calibrate again?

Also is there any place with pokemon higher than route 28(before Mt Silver) because I dont have unlimited rare candies and have to use the high pokemon way

495 is about normal for HGSS.
There is about a 100+ delay between DPPt and HGSS. DPPt being that of the higher.

Just save on route 28, check the IV's, and don't save. Reset, and try again. Rare candy limit isn't an issue than. Mt Silver has the highest. I do believe.

alright hit 497 and 13 again this time around, thanks for the help winters, one last question on the elm skipped frames, in my example where it says 3 skipped frames that means im starting on frame 4 rather than 1 right? just want to verify and thanks again for the help

Well, you're on frame 3. So if you do anything such as; pick an egg up, let an NPC move, walk in grass, etc... The eggs Iv's/any of that other stuff, you will be on frame 4.
If that makes sense? I always have trouble conveying what I mean with the frame placement/advancement.

well its for the wondercard entei, and im in cerulean mart which im told has no moving npc, so before i pick up entei i would have a starting frame of 3, and picking up entei would move it to 4 right?

Yes.
So whatever IV's are on frame 4 will be what IV's you get.

So if you want frame 5. Call once, and than pick Entei up. You should than have the desired spread.

alright so now that i calibrated and such im using the rng timer to increase my delay to 1437. only issue is everytime i call to verify, i get nothing on adjacent results(10th or so time doing this). The Timer that toast put out works similar to the pika timer right?

I have no idea wat delay im hitting though now, should I do like im calibrating and catch a pokemon on route 28?

What you need to do is save in front of the guy who gives you Entei.

In RNG reporter Adjacent seed window. Half way down there with be +/- delay and second.
Set the delay to +99 and -99. Se the seconds to +0 and -0. As I'm sure you can hit your second just fine.

No need to go catch a Pokemon.

I would first like to thank Winters for all the help and thanks to him I now have my nearly perfect Entei with HP Grass 70.

In addition big thanks to all that wrote guides, explanations and any little programs to help with this. Big thanks go out to Winters(as I said XD) and Toast for his awesome timer which I highly recommend(If I can use it anyone can).

Few Questions:
1.What is the starting frame of pokemon Sweet Scented in Caves (HG/SS)
2.Is RNGing in European cartridges different from American cartridges?
3.How do you advance frames using the RADIO?

1. Depends on the NPCs in the cave, just TRACK YOUR FRAMES through the mainscreen of RNGreporter, provided your target frame isn't very low it will never be an issue.
2. It should be the same. I cannot see why it would be any different.
3. Read the first page of this thread, Pokemon talk advances the frame by 14-18 inconsistently, and that's the main station you should be using for large frames.

There are No NPC's in the cave so how many frames, Thanks =)

For some reason the last part of the zomg timer was 6 seconds even though i set it to 15. Also when i called elm and recorded the results the rng reporter said there was no match for my selected elm calls. I know i didn't hit the delay but it would at least be nice to know what i hit....Please help and if anyone wouldn't mind personally walking me through it It would be greatly appreciated. I have pl and po so if needed we could talk there.

You either hit a delay outside of the generated results in RNG Reporter, hit a second not generated (like 13 rather than 15 or something like that) or it's the wrong date, or it could be you hit an Odd delay when you should have hit an even delay or vice-versa, in which case you should uncheck Odd/Even should match delay blah blah blah.
(Personally I have better luck it Pikatimer.)

Last time i tried downloading Pikatimer it was down and I barely understand what you just said. I suck at rng abuse still.

Some observations...
1) The roamer location bit is not set in stone. Occasionally I will hit frames and perform successful breeds with one roamer not where RNG Reporter says it should be. If you get two right and not the third, check the Elm calls anyway- if they line up, you're probably on your way.
2) Roamers in HGSS can advance the frame by 1 or 2. I've had successful frame hits leading to successful perfect breeds starting from frame 4, 5, or 6.
3) My frame hits in HGSS are all on second 23. :o How are you getting it down to 13?

For pokewalker abuse I need to get to frame 89. So do I only need to encounter 44 mons? Doing the math, I need to connect to the pokewalker 25 times, 3 times without anything, and 22 times with 2 mons. So would that be right? I'm confused with whether I'm supposed to catch 44 or 45 mons. :/

Use toastplusone's zomgtimer. He is making one for windows iirc, cause people are having trouble opening the Java one he made.

I was one of the people having problems with .Jar files xD
Thank god he's making one without the .jar file xD
I've already tested his new timer. Nice and smooth but the delay updates go the wrong way round.

Can someone explain to me what's going on? I've RNGed dozens of pokes, hatching shinies, catching shiny legendaries, picking up wondercard pokes, but I didn't do it for about a week, and suddenly I keep hitting seeds a full second to three seconds off. I can't explain it. I'm doing everything the way I always have - PokeRNG for seeds, PikaTimer for timing. I have Entei and Latias free who I use to quickly check seed, but when it isn't one within 10 or so delay units, I still call Elm to see where I landed, and often it's in the same area but one to three seconds higher or lower. I still can hit 2 delay units off or in the same area, but I keep hitting these really bizarre seconds-off seeds and it's really bothering me.

Anyone have any insight? How could my timing suddenly be so far off?
