So, it would be good if we could search for IV Spreads on even or odd frames too, since the frame will easily be locked on a odd or even value, without the need to watch for NPC's steps.

As for the question regarding the even/odd delays, when I search for a shiny/perfect legend, I usually put a very high frame, and end up with a lot of even/odd delays that I can't reach without a new save. And sometimes, even after I save, the delay do not change. As for the IV Breeding, I do not end up with a lot of options, but I'm kind of lazy. LOL

Edit: Yeah, you should just flip back and forth until you reach the frame 17. That's how I did. But remember that if your first page on the journal have a Caught Pokemon, it WILL advance the frame.

Alright, awesome :'D Thanks~ I'll just ignore the NPC movement since they moved the same way and were at the same spots when I found my first frame, so it should be constant as well.

So the first page will advance the frame as soon as the journal shows up after the continue screen if there is a Capture listed? I think mingot needs confirmation on that too :>
If I end up getting what I want while taking that into account, it'll be a re-affirmation as well. Wish me luck *^*;

What i dont understand is when i generate a seed is the there is a tab with frame and another right next to it that says actual what does this mean? which is my real frame?

Wait...I just read this:
Alright....so what if the initial appearance has a capture/defeated on it...does closing out of the journal at that point not advance the Frame at all?

It should, but now I am worried that, once again, I need to go verify this.

To clarify: you don't start counting +2s until you start flipping pages. The initial +2 is already included in the offset you calibrated.

No reason except for the possibility that you might be lucky and not have to recalibrate if your calibration result and target frame are the same. :)

Ah yeah (: As in, unless you save to cancel the journal, you should consider the +2 a constant (already part of your frame) and start from that number when counting flips instead?
 
That sounds like what should have happened yes. Going to have to do some investigation, but the common theme seems to be that you always get +2 of where you want to be. So maybe subtract a flip?

By chance do you have any running pokemon out?

I do... >< I thought I had caught Cressy ages ago since I have one in my PC, but I forgot that I got that one off the GTS...does having a runner turn each +2 into a +3? Please say yes, because the confusing story in my previous post would suddenly make sense then.

...Or maybe I'll just go Master Ball it and save myself a lot of grief. >> I doubt it has good stats anyway, so no sense prolonging my suffering.

EDIT: Got 'er. >> She had hardly any health, but I can always get more Master Balls from my Emerald... Quirky nature, rofl.
 
Bah, just got frame 16 instead of 17. xD

Must have been that stupid NPC.
I'll try again and if I get 16 again...I guess I'll find a frame 16 spread then o_o;
 
Ah, sorry Omega. I didn't take the time to re-read all the instructions again. Yes, the first one shouldn't be counted, as there should be no way to avoid the initial +2 from the journal showing up.

Sephirona, if you are able to get the egg as soon as the game starts, without worrying about the NPC moving, and get the frame 16, then you can start looking for frames 16+, even going as far as 40 should not be a problem. That is what really appeals to me while using the journal to change the frames.
 
Guh...I think my game hates me.

Cressy is now gone. I wanted to test how well I would be able to get to higher frames, so I went for one at 25.

My Frame is locked in at 9 right now. There is a capture on the first page. So 8 flips to the second page and back should put it at 25, right? I got 24.... >< Is that normal? Is a +1 / -1 fluctuation normal and I should just try again, or is something else likely wrong?

Seriously...am I the only person who gets the Seconds and the Delay right every single time, but whose Frame is continuously wrong?

EDIT: I got 23 this time. Just....what? I'm about ready to give up. ;-; I'm patient, but this isn't a matter of patience, as I could keep going forever and still not accomplish anything. I don't think high Frames will ever work in my game...

I am going to try flipping the pages 9 times. Watch, I will get 27, I know it. ><

EDIT2: I got 26. Now that's special. Maybe my locked Frame was actually 8?
 
I couldn't find this in the hundred(s) pages of this thread...

When using SC to advance the RNG, does encountering Psyduck in the water produce an odd result? I thought I saw posts about this, so I just want to be sure before I attempt SC 130 odd times....

Right now, I re-saved so I could get a new frame. My current frame is a consistent 2.

If I want to target a frame of 6, I'd change the date. That theoretically means my journal would come up and effectively raise my frame to a constant of 4, right?
And if I flip again to the page I have a "Caught" on, I'd be able to get that to frame 6 and achieve the frame 6 I want, right? Hopefully? *A*

I'm trying to get 9c100264 (Bold, 31/26/31/30/30/31) for Cresselia. I chose the time to be December 13th, 2000 and 16:00:00. Ok, so it has a frame of 5177. Subtract the 5 for Cresselia, and that's 5172. Divide that by 2, and that's 2586 page flips. I did that much, and I landed on that time. However, I didn't get the spread.

If you flip from a page with a caught pokemon to another page with a caught pokemon, and then flip back to the first page mentioned, does that count as 2 flips or one?

Yes that counts as two flips. Each time you flip to a page, whether it be back or forward it is +2 (as long as the page has captured of defeated 'x' pokemon.)
 
I downloaded Darwine and tried using the RNG Reporter 4.60 but it won't work. I'd be happy if someone can help me with it as I don't know what to do now.

In case you didn't realize yet, I have a Mac.

Srsly, did you make sure you had the HIGHEST IV's?
Did you make sure that you had the time and date correct?
Did you follow the instructions in the OP?
Where did the problem happen? WHere did a problem not occur?
 
hey whats the maximum amount of poketech taps you guys are willing to do fr the shiny egg?
i just keep on getting over 1000 and so i always mess up. any way to avoid it?

By the way, I tested the gender caught messages (such as 'Caught a female BIDOOF.'). They advance the RNG as normal. I guess this applies to all 3 types of caught message I've seen so far:
'Caught a female BIDOOF.'
'Caught AZELF (LATE NIGHT).'
'UXIE was caught (DAY).'
Why are there so many different kinds of message? :S

It's influenced by whether or not you have a GBA game in your DSlite slot. Mine are always even when I have a GBA game in while playing pearl, and odd with a GBA game in while playing Platinum. Taking it out reverses the effect (would give me odd for Pearl and even for Platinum). IMO it's a good thing because it makes the delays much more stable.
