Hi I just wanted to check i'm doing this correct before i start rng'ing roaming latios
As chasing a roamer can be a pain and it's my first time doing this in 4th gen.
I killed off latios and i have entei raikou still roaming and i beaten e4 and i'm saved 1 step before advancing to lance.
Found Method 1 seed 5303051d delay 1298 frame 40 timid 30/x/31/30/31/30 hp fire 70
Ok so this is why i'm unsure on how to use roamers to verify seed
Because when i saved last night entei was on route 37 raikou 34 so today obviously its a different day/time and they are on different routes so in rng reporter seed to time when do i input roamers positions i.e. as of now or yesterday just after beating e4 or on the day i go for my seed 01 01 2011 and where do i input this as rng seed to time has three roamers box's next to map button but it also a larger button that says search roamers that also ask's for roamer route details do i need to input in both sections and finally lol its 37 frame advancements (as monster frame 1 + 2 roamers - target frame 40) if i hit my seed roamers should be raikou route 35 entei route 38. does it matter if i make a note of routes before i save or is it just when or if i hit my seed and delay thanks to anyone who can make sense of my ramblings

When use the roamer method, you enter the location of the two upon saving the game, so whatever the route they were on when you saved is what you put in the rngreporter, route 34 and 37. You need to input the two dogs route location under the 4th generation tab, time finder, next to the map button and generate your time. The search roamer button is for when you need check if you hit the frame or an adjacent frame.
Yes, you will have to do 37 advancement
Make sure you DO NOT save while doing this or you will have to keep updating the roamers root.

Edit: Woah..Cereza it's 37 advancements. Lati@s is 1 frame and the two roamers advance the seed by 2.
Thanks cereza and darkchaos that is a great help one final question i've read that i move from centre of radio to bottom right radio station to advance 1 frame now do i leave it on that radio station or flick back to middle and if i do have to flip back to the middle how long do i leave it on bottom station i have just downloaded radioseed but i so miss journal flips i'm just starting on hg/ss rng and i hate to ask if i had brought a chatot with me when beating e4 could i have just used chatot to advance frame +1 each summary? and not needed to learn radio frame advancements thanks for your help i will have a go now i guess practice makes perfect i just a pain chasing latios around map to find my delay frame is miles off anyway cheers
It doesn't matter how long you keep the circle on the bottom right, but don't keep it too long. I would just move it back to the center right away so you can advance the frame faster. But be careful to make sure the circle doesn't go into any other radio stations, only let it go into the bottom right and the middle.
Yes, if you brought a Chatot you could use its summary to advance +1 each time you view it.
Hi princess thanks for that i will bring chatot when i do this on my heartgold gamecart however no sure if i have messed up already i'm sure i hit my delay and i hope i did the frame advancements right however after beating lance it ended up putting my pokemon in the hall of fame and then saved the game so i guess if latios is messed up i will have to kill it and re-do e4 and lance again
hi just to update cant believe i f**ked up i have chased it around map for past 45mins watching barcelona game on tv only to find it was gentle nature 30/30/31/23/9/20 which is correct seed delay but f**king frame 41 and i wanted frame 40. so do i need to kill it off again and re-do e4? as it automatically saved game after beating lance and re-do it all what i did before this time taking time i think i remember a slight wobble as i did radio advancments i will take chatot at least i know i'm capable of doing rng on hg/ss as i got close
Alright so I went back and retested my PID I want shiny for TID abuse.
I made the parameters 5000 and 5700 for Pandora's box (I found this range in a guide in this thread, although this was for HG/SS abuse, it should work fine for Platinum ID abuse, right?)
Then I pulled up a random ID/SID and plugged that into the Time Finder like I did before. However, using normal delay ranges (600 to 640) I could not find my target spread. So I made the ranges 5000 and 5700 (like in PB) and searched again. This time, I got my spread.
So from my understanding, when I abuse my TID/SID for shiny spreads, does this mean the shiny spreads I abuse for will have ridiculously high Delays? Because I don't know if I can hit that high....
And since I'm on that topic (high delays), is the Emloop Timer still needed to hit them? I notice the EonTimer adjusts fine to high delays....

Umm, no, lol. Try making the range 600 to 3000, see if you find anything. Btw, 5000 is not a ridiculously high delay. It's only like, a 2 minute wait, 3 minutes at the most :P. Honestly, hitting high delays is no different from hitting low delays; just press A when Eon Timer tells you too! It's easy once you get used to it.
And if the frames are too high for your liking, try making the delay range just a bit higher (I usually search 600-5000; if the frames are too high I like to change it from 5000 to 10000 but that's just me). Although, high frames shouldn't be much of a problem anymore now that we discovered Chatot's Chatter can advance the frame... elm calls take too long! :)
Eon Timer works just fine for high delays.
A while back, I got pretty consistent results hitting a 30k-ish delay using ZomgTimer, so I don't think you need to worry about accuracy.

Yeah. I used 6000 something, Iirc. I'm a bit slow with the button mashing thing, though, so if you're fast then high 5000s might work for you.
For future ID/SID abuse if you remember whatever seed you chose(including the normal range, you can just use that PID and search for 5000-6000 range in Pandoras Box this. For example I chose flawless modest spread with a delay in 900ish, took the PID and generated my ID/SID that way.

Alright, I found the TID/SID that I want (and a spread group that gives me the spreads I want shiny). I plugged my target delay into the EonTimer. (6036). It tells me to start my game two minutes ahead of the actual time the Seed to Time tells me to, so instead of setting my game at 13:49:00, I set it at 13:47:00. (my target time is 13:49:50).
Does this work like RNGing by normal means? Load the game as the First timer ends and then pressing A at the TV Program as the second timer goes off? Am I doing it right?

All monster frames are 1, for Platinum it's advised you hit your seed and go through a similar calibration phase(like you do for eggs in DPPt), before going for your frame. This will tell you what frame you can aim for without having to rely on NPC advances. If you feel like torturing yourself you can try and guestimate the frames the NPCs are advancing.
What I did the one time I abused on a cart was hit my seed 4 or so times and record the frame if I waited an extra second.
You can do the same thing in DP, by standing on the edge of lake verity and route 201(I think that's it's name) and let the npcs advance. Frame 1 spreads are optimal though for DP. You can always PM me if you have questions on this as I'm not always thinking clearly right now.

i am learning to trying to test breed (for learning purposes) a traded meowth and a ditto and my aim is an adamant technician meowth
so here is my problem tell me if there's wrong in my step (i imitated bearfans' guide in youtube) ---
i set adamant in natures pull down menu and ability 1 in the ability pull down menu... anyway, i dont aim for a shiny so i input random number on PID/SID on the PID/SID box... i use time finder then to generate my seeds and then selects one from the list with the lowest frame preferably frame 1 then i right click on the seed and select generate more times. seed to time window opens up and a list shows up. i select on that list (today i will try 2012 01 01 - 01:00:00 - 493 (date/time/delay)) then clicks on the generate button above the lower window (where the time and date to set on the DS is located i believe) it generated a list of times and i selected a seed with the same delay --- 2012 01 01 - 00:59:59 - 493 (date/time/delay) and then i input the date and time on my DS removing the seconds so 00:59:00... on my eontimer, the calibrated time is 500 the calibrated seconds is 15. my target delay is 493 as what the RNG gives me and the target second is 59 (the seconds i removed)... i press the A on the DS to start the new clock 00:59:00 together with the eontimer simultaneously... i turn off and on the DS, go on and get into the game as fast as possible wait for the first timer to go zero and then softreset. the 2nd timer counts down, and i spam the A button to get inside the game world as fast as possible. i reach the game world exactly (or maybe some microsecond late) at the 0:00 of the 2nd timer.
i dont have a pokerus so i use juggler irwin to check if i hit my seed.. but for the 15th time i rinsed and repeat that step, it seems, the K,E,P i received from irwin doesnt match the K,E,P in the list... so what's wrong?
