Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

I have a question about NPC's, There is one on Route 210 North that you cant control if i press start and enter my bag will he advance the frame at all? And for each Turn they make does that advance the Frame by 1 or 2?

Mole, make sure you're entering in actual numbers when it asks for the delay, like 595 and 735 (default) instead of 0 and 0. It's some sort of glitch that returns 00000000 for the seed when you do that.

I just wanted to make sure I understand this correctly: For Rng on wondercards, I do I have to have to journal pop up on game start everytime I soft reset?

Yes, otherwise the NPC in the mart will move around, resulting in your coin flips and journal flips being thrown off. The best way to do wondercards is to use a spread with a very low amount of flips. That way, you can just do your flips every time you reset without having to check that you hit your seed. You will be able to verify what delay you hit by the IVs of the pokemon you receive. However, it's highly likely that it will have the wrong nature for the spread you got, so you'll have to search those IVs with all different natures until you are able to find a result from your search. Honestly, with wondercards, having an AR or a way to check IVs makes things much much easier.

I still have a question about NPC's if you press start and go into your bag/pokemon do the NPC's advance the frame?
EDIT: Omg im dumb sometimes -__- Thanks for helping!

Oh I forgot it's not really required to do coin flips, but you do them to verify you hit your target time and delay. So for wondercards, we can't do coin flips, and the only real way to know if you got your ivs is to look at the pokemon after the journal flips to see the nature and check ivs with a calculator?

Yeah, if it's a high level wondercard (arceus, shaymin, deoxys, etc.) then you should be ok to just use the seed finder section in the RNG Reporter. If it's a low level (jirachi), then it may be more difficult and you'll probably have to use a bunch of rare candies each time you reset. What you'll do is put the stats in the seed finder, and you'll have to keep changing the nature until it finds the right one (even though it won't match your pokemon, because wondercards have random natures). With a high level pokemon, you'll probably be able to tell right away if you hit your spread. It may take a while for you to get the right nature and hit your spread on the same reset, it can be pretty annoying.

Acutally I could just use wichu's program to find a seed right? Also, I plan on just using the seeds they provided in the perfect wondercards section. And to find out if the ivs are correct, I just use metalkid's calculator.

Yeah you can do that, I just meant use the seed finder to find out what seed you actually hit if you don't hit your target. When you do use wichu's program to get a target make sure you put it in the RNG Reporter and generate it as method 1, because wondercards are method 1 and the frame is slightly different in wichu's program.

Edit: JRT, that should work.

So let's say I put this seed in from the DPP RNG Abuse Guide: 52140289 116 31 / 31 / 31 / 31 / 31 / 31 Mixed
I just put the seed and ivs into the reporter, put in method 1, keep the ability to any, and keep the nature to any, then I'm done. Then I can go to seeds to time to get a target time. That sound about right?

Do yourself a favor, and open 2 RNG reporters. put the seed into the opening page of the 1st one and press generate to get all your adjacent frames. That way when you miss the first few times (you will) you'll see how far off you are and can adjust. That's what I always do.

Secondly, put the seed in the seed to time finder box of the 2nd RNG reporter to find a date. For some reason you can't go back and forth between the seed to time finder, and your adjacent spreads listed on the opening screen of the reporter, so you need to open 2 of them.

Ok now let's say (and this will save time from using metalkid's calculator) after I do the journal flips, can I go right to checking my coin flips (so I can see if I even need to check ivs)?

I always use an AR, but yeah, if you're not using that, make sure to check your flips first. However, sometimes there are some crazy good spreads on other delays. Not always, but sometimes. Make sure to check the spreads on the delays around what you're shooting for.

Not really.

All you need to do is go to seed to time and enter 52140289 . Not sure where you would want to enter the rest of the information, or why.

"If you need something that is not covered below, ..."

(what you do need IS covered, so skip down)

"When using these seeds, the "Seed to Time" function of RNG Reporter should be used to get a list of acceptable target times."

"these seeds" refers to the seeds in the table above. The one where you got the spread you are using.

Well when I entered 52140289 into the reporter, it gave me 114 instead of 116. I know it's only a 2 number difference, but I like to be as thourough as I can. It's just my preference really, not hurting anyone else.

XD

That's because WCs are always off by 2!

I have a question about Wichu's RNG program. After searching for some Jolly shiny spreads, I've chosen the following spread:

2324498901F 434ef157 (JOLLY, ability 1) 31/30/26/31/29/31 (Seed: 2e0b026c Frame: 13261) HP ICE 49 !!!

Then, out of curiosity, I've put the seed (2e0b026c) into RNG Reporter, but it tells me that the frame number for this spread is actually slightly lower - 13158. So, before I waste my time flipping journal pages 6600+ times for nothing, which program should I trust?

RNG Reporter has the correct frames. Make sure you are generating under the correct method for the poke you want also. I'd highly recommend using emloop to hit a higher delay for much lower frames/flips, but it takes a while to learn.

You have to do it after the journal flips. If you do it before the wandering NPC will screw you up (more than it usually does).

And again, straight from the article, from the step AFTER the one where you do journal flips:

Verify your result. Since the majority of Wondercard Pokémon are of a fairly high level, it should be easy to verify the IVs. If they are not correct, you may either immediately capture a Pokémon and check it's initial seed or use the coin flip trick noted in the "Common Information for Breeding and Capturing Perfect Pokémon" section. If you are using the coin flip trick you may wish to output your adjacent results to CSV to make it easier to search.
