Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

If you can battle pokemon where mewtwo is located (the section mewtwo is), each turn is 1 advancement. If not, walk 128 steps to advance. Try not to turn facing your pokemon following you. Someone said turning towards the pokemon following you is 2 advancements and turning away is also 2. So you can try that instead, or just turn for 1 advancement each time.
if you turn facing your pokemon frame advance by 2, but turning away is also 2 like you said! so does the frame totally advance by 4? can't you advance only by 2? because if i turn facing my pokemon, i also have to turn away...

@Above: You can save facing your own Pokemon, turn to face the Pokemon (Advancing the Frame by 2) and then battle it. Thats the only way to only advance by 2 using that method.

@LightningFusion: I tried the turning method (Not to my own Pokemon) and it didn't advance the Frame at all...

EDIT: I've tried the turning towards the Pokemon aswell and it STILL didn't advance the Frame...

But i've just checked and there are wild Pokemon.

Please, can anyone help me with this? The methods of advancing the Frame arn't working...

NPC's that move in a consistant pattern dont advance the frame right?
Like a swimmer or jogger going back and forth wont advance the frame?
Thanks

How do I hit high delays with emloop?
In Platinum.
The same way you do in DP :). This is a question with a really long answer, so if you don't know how to do it in DP and you have read the post on Emloop in the RNG thread, PM me and I can explain the entire process.

what do you generally mean by "tuning and the tuning the bottom right" to advance the frame? i'm not sure i've understood the meaning, because i'm outside the victory road and the frame doesn't advance...

On certain days and at certain places, the station either doesn't play, or plays something else, so it doesn't advance the frame like you need.

[edit]
Also, has anybody figured out if you can get any good pokes with decent nature/IV combos off the walker yet? I thought OD said there were only like 128 combinations or something crazy small like that...

Only 256 possible PIDs. But, on the Pokewalker there is no unique IV combination for any one PID. I've gotten two Pokemon with the same PID but different IVs.

Guys I just had an interesting idea:

As IDs and SIDs are indeed abuseable now, but HG&SS provide us a limitation of 5 letters for nicknaming only how about this?
You abuse in Platinum for the same ID and SID you got already in HG/SS (well you have to make sure that your HG/SS Delay is 5000+ as in HG 3300-4000 is very possible)
But if you have the same ID/SID in Platinum a specific pokemon in HG/SS of yours has, then you probably would be able to nickname it in Platinum as well won't you?
Besides you having a nice spread in Platinum as well then^^ Double Advantage!:)

Talking to your Pokemon (there is a nice sheet out for that already)
Its just a list of responses - noone's worked out how much each response advances the frame yet.

Hey guys, I'm getting garbage in Platinum.

Last night I successfully abused for Uxie with no problems. Now I'm trying to abuse for Shaymin.

I'm hitting seed 11060263 easily (my target is 11060267, but that doesn't matter here). Encountering Shaymin (with a Sync) and catching it straightaway should get frame 1. However I'm not getting anything near that - I'm getting incomprehensible spreads that do line up to any of the results.

I've got no roamers, Journal is not comming up when I fire up, etc, etc (same rig I had with Uxie). Both Uxie and Shaymin are in places where there arn't any NPCs.

This started happening on my Diamond ages ago, and its also happening on HeartGold.

What the smeg is going on?

EDIT: Bite me, my Synchroniser has Early Bird -.-

Cheers
Snapper.

Hey just wanted to be sure. Whatever bird I choose to do a spread for at first (let's say zapdos), that bird is going to have a frame of 11 right and the remaining will have 1 and 6. So If I choose Zapdos first, it will have a frame of 11 right?

Erm, no Zapdos' starting frame is 6 - I abused it yesterday.

So for example, you're got a target from of 186, because Zapdos' frame is 6, you will only need to advance the frame by 180. or 90 Journal flips.

After you catch Zapdos, defeate E4 again.
Moltres will still be at frame 1.
But Articuno (Was Frame 11) will now be frame 6.

And if you catch moltres next time, Articuno will become Frame 1.

Not to break your spirit, but when the English versions come out, I think you can just rename your savefile and change their names then. Asuming you're using a flashcard. I'm not sure, but it sounds logical to me actually.

You could always do that, but until ID/SID abuse was discovered, having a Japanese language pokemon with an English name (that did not come from an egg) was illegal. While it's true that most people will either use Pokesav or an AR code to nickname their Japanese or event pokemon in English, ID/SID abuse sets the precedent that these things are not impossible to do without an outside device. The only thing you need to have in common with the pokemon to be nicknamed is trainer ID; SID and trainer name do not matter.

JRT, they just move down...so if you catch the one that is at 6 (Zapdos), then the one that was at 1 (Moltres) stays the same, while the one at 11 (Articuno) moves to 6. If you catch the bird at frame 1 (Moltres), the one at frame 6 (Zapdos) moves to frame 1 and the one at frame 11 (Articuno) moves to frame 6. Once you catch two of the birds, the final one will always have a monster frame of 1.

The numbers will always be the same, if there are three birds that you release, they will be at 1, 6, and 11 (They start Moltres at 1, Zapdos at 6, Articuno at 11). If there are 2 left, they will be at 1 and 6. If only one, it will have a monster frame of 1. The order that you capture them in will determine which bird is at which frame for the second and third releases/captures.
