Anyone abused on Latios/Latias in HG/SS yet?
This seems to be a big bitch.
I keep constantly missing my frame. cause the frame of Latias/Latios is set when Troy shows you the pic but the thing is after you advanced the frame in the building of the pokeclub and you went out it is also advanced but the amount seems to be random and vary. Or well at least I can't hit my target frame at all.
When you walk out of the building it advances from 2-4 I wonder what actually might influence that.

Edit: Ok this sounds sort of odd.
But to make it clear to you guys:
Target Frame is 42.
Walking out of the Buildung: 2-4
Troy showing you the picture: 4

Now you could say: Something between 6-9 before is my target. So let's Target frame in Building get's 34-38.
Ok now the thing is: Going for 34 frame and when you leave the building advances the frame up to 2. I'll hit Frame 40.
But going for 35 will advance the leave building part up to 4. So I'm gonna hit 43.
Question is: How can you actually hit 42 then?XD

Edit: btw is it true that Latias and Latios are better off having less HP IV than 31? Something about Live orb and stuff

Hey LF, just a quick question about something I found when pokeradar abusing. Did you notice that whenever you hit your seed, that the patches always appear in the same place when you use the radar? It changes if you resave in a different position, but as long as you are just resetting they will always be the same. I've found it useful when trying to do it in weather, as you can verify your seed without having to catch a pokemon. It might be something to include in your post. You probably have figured this out by yourself already, but it's been a nice piece of info to have for me and maybe could help others.
Last post.....

I want to use Cress to move my frame to an even number. I haven't released it yet, but want to eventually RNG it. Where does Cress re-appear after killing it? Back on the island? Oh, and do you have to E4 it to make it re-appear?

If I were you, I would just do the 128 steps with an odd number of pokemon in my party. If you do it this way, I think that if it does reappear, it reappears on the island, and I know you have to beat the E4. Probably want someone to double check that, because I haven't actually done that myself.

So, I've finally got HG ordered. Question about SIDs though. How do you know if you've got a terrible SID/ID combo? I know how to get my SID checked and all, but I don't know what's good and what's bad. I've gathered that certain combos prohibit useful nature/IV combinations. :/ Should I just start the game, find my SID and then check for certain good IV/Nature combos to see if they're there and at a low frame, or whatever?

Might just be confused here though...

Use Wild Eep's ID finder to find a combination for D5FFFF?? (the last two are any two digits). That's the format for PIDs of any Pokemon off the Pokewalker. mingot stated that with the right ID\SID combo, 50% of the Pokemon off the Pokewalker will be shiny.

EDIT: Never mind, it's actually 3.125%.

Guys no one? Now I could hit my ridicoulous high delay and can't abuse for the frame, man:/

I'm strictly using no codes at all :/
Although it's such a nice spread.
What do you guys think would it be ok to use walkthrough wall there?hmm:/

HG is on it's way finally, and I obviously want to and just so I can get started preparing now, I want to RNG Ho-Oh, The Dogs, The Birds, Mewtwo, Kyogre, Rayquaza, and The Latis. However, I don't know Japanese, and will probably have no idea what is going on, and just blindly trudge through with a Chomp or something 99% of the time. I understand that several off my list are released at certain points due to in game actions, like leaving some building releases lati, or something. Is there a guide anywhere out there that will tell me when I need to get prepared to RNG each of the legendaries in the game?

[edit]
Oh, and ^^^ use WTW, it doesn't hurt anything.

All the stationary legends you can battle and beat the e4 if you aren't ready to RNG. For the roamers, I suggest doing either raikou/entei before you release them. You will see them in the basement of the building, and when you go down, they aren't released until after you step off the step. Then you can just do the other at the e4. For latias, once you get a doll for the one girl from the pokemon guy, when you walk out the building you release latias. SR inside the building for your seed and release it.

Cool, so I can completely skip everything else till I have time to do them later, except Latias (and when is os?), Kyogre, and the 2 dogs?

Latios gets released after some mew is given out. I don't know the exact details. You don't even need to battle kyogre for the most part. I haven't yet.

Am I correct in thinking, pokemon in the trophy garden for that day is on frame 6?
Because for some reason I'm not getting the pokemon I want =/

Btw maybe interesting to know: Unlike the starters when Troy is showing you Latias/Latios even if they are Shiny the Pic would be unshiny. So until you actually battle it you won't know.

I've been RNG abusing for a Flawless Mewtwo, but I discovered that I hadn't been advancing the Frame AT ALL, even though I was tuning/retuning the bottom right station.

Why is this happening? I thought each time you did it, it advanced the Frame by 1...

In some areas the radio doesn't work/advance the frame at all. This is also true in suicune's location.

Talking to your Pokemon (there is a nice sheet out for that already)
Turning from your Pokemon away or to it (alas we have no fixed advancements for that it varies between 2-3)
Synchers work as well.

If you can battle pokemon where mewtwo is located (the section mewtwo is), each turn is 1 advancement. If not, walk 128 steps to advance. Try not to turn facing your pokemon following you. Someone said turning towards the pokemon following you is 2 advancements and turning away is also 2. So you can try that instead, or just turn for 1 advancement each time.
