hi ppl my rng reporter isnt working i tried to install the new firmware but it says its not compatible with the last version or something like that. What firmware or program should i download?

There is no "firmware" and nothing says that. Come with a real error message or screenshot.
 
My keybord does give screenshots. But yea you are right its not that its "Framework" the message states

Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to hatch a shiny in SoulSilver. I'm using the RNG Reporter 7.0 with HG/SS Delay in looking for a seed. Tell me if this is wrong but I calculate how to advance the Incubator RNG by the number of Happiness taps that the RNG Reporter says. So for example I need 100 taps and say 6 Coin Flips, it means I need to advance the Incubator RNG by (100*12)+12+6=138. I got the calculations from the first page. If that's right then how am I gonna advance it? Through walking or talking to your Pokemon? Thanks in advance.

Make sure the .config file is in the same directory as the .exe (it is not).

The short answer is that it will not work on HGSS unless the frame is very low (less than 5).
 
it is in the same directory mignot it is not that hard to extract a file and place it in the same folder. That is not the case i think its the framework thing in some way.
 
Hrm, not sure then, sorry. That's the only thing I have ever seen cause that error.

You may also PM me the contents of the "details" window if you click that button.
 
ok, i'm very uncertain of how to get the delays right. every time i try to rng using the shiny finder or the rng reporter the coin flips never match. what exactly is the delay and what does it mean when it is 609 or something of the sort?

Anyway, so am I aiming for frame 89 or frame 114? And, say I am aiming for frame 89, this is the calculation I come to:

89 (target) - 1 (monster) - 0 (no roamers) = 88/2 = 44 Journal flips.

Is this right and does the amount of pokemon I have in my party affect this (I currently have 4)

What do the directions say about the actual column?

What do they say about the frame?
 
I can't see any information in the directions about the actual column or about the frame, I'm new to the capture side of things and was generally asking if what I was doing was right, as in fairness, this is like me trying to learn a foreign language from scratch.
 
"Once the results have been displayed and you see a suitable spread, make a note of the frame number."

The word frame is used 49 times. The word actual is used once, in a completely different context. Please just take the instructions literally. If it does not specifically say to do something or use a field then you don't have to.
 
Yea, I get that now, I am still trying to understand all this, as it is rather daunting when I'm having to learn this now to go along with the egg RNG stuff.

My question now is, I have rechecked this in RNG reporter and a number of frames come up for the particular spread I mentioned a couple of posts back, and maybe this is where I have confused myself, but anyway it mentions frames 89, 92, 97, 99, 101, 107, 109 & 113, with a modest syncher, coming up for that particular spread.

Does it mean it that this particular spread can come up on any of these frames, or just one of them?

It can come up on any one of them, so really you can just pick the one that is the best (should usually be the lowest) and go with that. It does come in handy (and you may not want to pick the lowest) when you are trying to capture monsters through sweet scent. That is a bit of an advanced topic, though, and should not get in your way right now.
 
I know I've asked this in this thread but I'm too lazy to search through 400 and some pages, what I wanted to know is what do the wandering NPC's do again?

Edit: I also wanted to know if the journal pops up as soon as you enter the game world does it count as a journal flip?
 
The wandering NPC advance the RNG, but i'm not sure by how much. (Check the Guide!)

Yes, the Journal popping up as the game begins DOES count as a flip
