The "check seed via roamer" method is not reliable if I only have 1 or 2 roamers out, right?

It's less helpful, but you can still use it - just tell RNGReporter which roamers you have out.

I personally only have 1 roamer out, but I'm still usually able to use it to confirm my seed with great certainty. This is because I can always get within about ±6 of my delay, so I just have to check where Entei would be for each of those seeds. As long as there are no repeats, that's enough information to check my seed (or at the very least, discover that I did not hit my seed if Entei is on the wrong route).

Not in Heatran's room. There are no wild Pokemon in there so every 128 steps advances the RNG by the number of Pokemon in your party. If there were wild Pokemon present, every step you take would advance the RNG by 1.

I know I need to get the egg, and Chamommy's guide says to bike up and down, but is this safe? Won't going into Goldenrod advance the frame, due to the walking NPC? What exactly are safe practices after putting the Pokémon in the Day Care! I'm going to bed anyway, since this is the second time I hit the right delay and then forgot to save before taking the egg, so I hope to see an answer in the morning. :D Ty!

normal rng advancements DONT affect the irng so dont worry about NPCs

This is for a legendary right? It will mean that it will be 919-1 so it will be 918 and 459 journal flips. If you already did the math like that then you will have to do 128 steps with and odd number of pokemon in your party. This will mean that you subtract a number equal to the number of pokemon in your party. So it will be 919-5 so it will end up with 457 journal flips.

So basically, I just have to walk 128 steps after flipping the journal 457 times?
Then all that remains to to hit the right delay? Sounds pretty easy, albeit could take awhile.

by 3 just like in DPPt so your pokemon will appear on frame 3 if you don't do anything else prior to sweet scenting on the water.

Like Stavros said, you don't have to worry about biking and NPC movement for getting the right nature/ability egg. I have problems with incoming phone calls advancing the frames of which egg I get and this is why I wrote to get an egg on frame 1 or to use Joey to advance until your next egg is the correct egg. Other than that, you don't have to worry about anything. You can call Joey before or after you put the parents in the Daycare.

Now when you work on egg IVs, then you have to worry about NPC movement and your own movement. So you really must get into your Pokegear app as soon as you get into the game and you must talk to the Daycare man as fast as possible after advancing by Elm calls when you are doing egg IVs. And you must not move before you talk to him.

Is what shows up in an area for a particular seed/delay/frame set, or is it random? I ask this because I have hit my spread 3 times on a route, and the same pokemon showed up all three times.

yes each frame has its own particular encounter slot so the same pokemon will show up each time for a frame. To see the encounter slots right click on the frame you want on RNG reporter's main window and select the option "calculate encounter slots" then use the charts at the bottom of this post to find what pokemon corresponds to the encounter slot for that frame in that particular area.

the spread becomes available on more frames for example lets sya you have a modest spread on frame 333, 334 without a synch, with a synch the spread would appear on a number of more frames so with a modest synch the spread appear on frame 329,328,331,333,334, this is of course a hypothetical example.

nope for wild pokemon when you RNG them the nature is attached to the IV spread and you can't change that

quicky question, about the sinjoh event.
when is the last frame of the pokemon I pick decided, is it when I talk to cynthia and get the autocue up the stage or is it when I walk up to the spot where I can pick one of the pokemon?
also, the monster frame I assume will be 1 as with all of the other pokemon you interact with?

Are you sure you hit your delay? Capture something and find what seed/delay you hit.

I need a little help with RNG Reporter. I'm on Platinum today, but I'm having trouble with the coin flip search. I enter the coin flip results but when I hit ok, nothing happens. It doesn't matter what I enter into coin flip search. The target seed remains highlighted. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
