Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

You check the seed first using the coin flip (which is not affected by frame), then advance the frame to 421 (your target), bearing in mind you start on frame 2 (so advance by 419, not to 419), then use Sweet Scent and you should get your Marill.

You mean frame, not delay.

Ok sweet, thanks for the help.
Lol I mean this when I say this is the last question:

considering I am aiming for a delay of 421, do I increase the seeds to 419 or by 419, and then Sweet Scent?

I'll assume you mean frame instead of delay. You want it so you get frame 421 for the poke. So

421 - 2 (Sweet scent)= 419
419 - 1 (turn in grass, no walking) = 418
418/2 (journal flips with caught pokemon) = 209

Ok, I went and searched the Egg PID (Normal) of the initial seed, but no results with the 421 frame came up, but when I searched Method 1 again the 421 Frame came up, so does this frame not have an Egg PID (Normal) ?

d000275
Thats the seed, and the frame is 421.

Oh my, that last 3 pages are filled with questions that are clearly answered on the OP.

Anyway, you need to forget about the frame you wanna hit when you are on the step of checking if you hit your delay, and you need to do it BEFORE you even start advancing the frame, or else what's the point of checking if you've hit the seed anyway??

Also, you generate the DPPt Egg PID (Normal) and start reading from frame 1 to 10, and compare with the coin flips from your game. If those 10 matches, THEN you can advance your frame to the one you want, and then use sweet scent. Capture, and check IVs. If you missed, you should be pretty close to the poke you wanna get, and THEN you can come here and ask why you missed it (if you can't find out alone, that is).

Question. I'm trying to hatch a Timid Manaphy with good IVs on my Diamond, but I'm not sure if I use the "egg hatch" method or the "Wondercard" method. The manaphy is from ranger 2, if that helps.

Receiving the Manaphy egg is a method 1 Pokemon. You have to save in the Pokemart and have the journal open when the game starts. You do the journal flips, then collect the egg. I have done Manaphy before. It's quite annoying because you have to do all the journal flips and collect the egg, then you can check if you hit the seed or not.

Alright, thanks then.

EDIT: So if I were looking for a particular Manaphy, I would simply use the DPPT Time Finder to get my desired spread and time, then do the journal flips to advance to the correct frame?

I have been SR'ing for the best part of 1h 30m now with no luck, is it possble i done something wrong, or is it normal for it to take this long?

So, if I found a Manaphy that I would like at frame 2, I would simply have to reach the correct time, and then tap the Coin Flip app once like the RNG Reporter says?

@ IcyMan28: I suggest you read the original post section on hatching perfect Pokemon, you advance the frame through journal flips, not coin flips (that's for shiny eggs). The Manaphy egg method is related to the egg IV method, but is more difficult bacause the frame is much higher.

To be honest, I would suggest trying a different RNG technique first, if you can master breeding for IVs (hatching a perfect Pokemon), then try the Manaphy egg.

The egg IV method? Thanks I'll look into it.

I'm just trying to hatch a shiny through the first method mentioned. In the RNG, I followed all the steps, catching a lv. 50 poke and recording all the nec. fields in. I have my exact DS time, down to the second (even if I don't need it. I'm using Pokemon Diamond. I get my initial seed in the seed generator, but then when I click OK, nothing pops up in the main window. I know I'm doing everything right...what the heck is wrong?

After you click OK in the seed generator you still have to change your Method in the main window to Dppt Egg PID (Normal), select your Nature, Ability (and whether it's shiny or not) and click generate.

after finding my seed in the time finder into the original page of the rng reporter and clicked generate there was something beside the frame called "actual"

does this have any relevance?

Okay, I have a serious problem.
My goal is really to hatch perfect pokemons, but I start by trying to get shinies. I am compleatly sure about my SID. I have caught multiple shinies and I did it with two of them and got the same result. My only problem is that my pokemon isn't shiny, or have the nature I need(I don't really care about the nature as I only try hatching shinies to get comfortable using the RNG).
Okay, this is exactly what I do.

1. I sync my computer clock with my DS. ( I don't need second timer for shinies)
2. I take out 5 pokemon, 2 of them being ralts and one being someone wiht fly.
3. I go to survival arena and go to the grass at east. Then I put my Poketch on the happiness checker.
4. I save the game and then soft reset, noting the time on my computer, as it is synced with my DS, when I press A on the continute screen.
5. I use Sweet Scent to get up against a pokemon.
6. I damage it a bit and throw an ultra ball ( I don't have 100 Master Balls to waste)
7. I insert the stats, not the IV's in the RNG and press Find. I know that I'm doing this part right unless you need to insert IV's.
8. I Check the box "shinies only" and fill in my ID and SID.
9. I press on "Dppt Egg Hatching(?) Normal".
10. I press generate and take the top one I see, as it is faster.
11. I read how many times I will need to tap and flip.
12. I start by typing.
13. I change my poketch to coin flip and flip.
14. I fly to solaceon.
15. I put in my two ralts into daycare.
16. I walk until the egg comes, then takes the egg.
17. I hatch the egg and throw the DS on the floor, and then take up the 1000 pieces of the DS, when I see that it isn't a shiny. Lol...

That's all I do. What am I doing wrong? Have I missed something?

@ conal: If you are using method J, this is the method 1 frame you are actually hitting. If synchronise takes effect, the game simply calls the RNG repeatedly until it gets a matching nature, this is why method J can produce multiple frames from which synchronise advances to the target spread.

For the purposes of targeting, no it is not important.

@ agiyr: The first thing I notice is that you open the Happiness Checker before catching the test Pokemon. This is wrong, start out with the app before the Happiness Checker open, catch the test Pokemon and find your seed, then open the Happiness Checker to do your taps. Apart from that you seem to be doing everything correctly, just make sure you count the taps and flips accurately.

thanks i will ignore it for method J then

EDIT: i dont understand hoe to use the coin flip method

i am selcting DP egg PID (normal) and entering my found seed and no "coin column actually appears....

Confirming Bebe with eevee is method 1 and frame 1 but similar to pokemart, Bebe can turn her head and advance frame each time so opening journal is a must. I succeeded in my quest for frame 114 with a timid eevee: 31/31/31/31/31/31 from Bebe.
