Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Why can't you do it yourself? Just curious because everyone else will probably get nothing as well unless you inputted something wrong.

I have caught a shiny Articuno and the I killed Moltres and Zapdos and they came back only AFTER I beat the E4 and talked to oak. This is to clarify earlier questions about wether it works or not. It DOES work.

I might add I was worried it wouldn't. But it did.

@Red Pheonix: Are you sure about the Frame change? I can verify if you want.

ixin read over the OP. It's apparant you don't understand some aspects that the OP answers for you.

Yes Flurries, just find the Pokemon's IVs that you caught and see what frame those IVs came from.

Maybe I didn't type it in correctly, because I thought I did that. Let me try this again. Also, I'm on top of Spear Pillar. Since no Pokemon exist there, by walking into the tunnel to catch something, I won't advance the frame, correct?

can someone do mine please, I can't get a pokemon from the drop down list.

Post a screenshot of that.

Has anyone here SRed for Flower Paradise Shaymin yet? The OP says its initial offset is 1, but I'm getting 2 all the time. Is it just with me?

Just go with 2, then.

If someone else wants to test it, though, that would be appreciated.

Also, confirmed via debugger, Davy's suspicion that the 128 step counter is saved and picked up when you next start the game. It most definately is.

No, find out the IVs of the Pokemon you caught/hatched. Say you wanted an Adamant Kingdra, but you hatched a Quirky one. Find out the Quirky one's IVs, and then find that frame on the seed you hit. This allows you to find out what frame you actually hit.

If you catch something to find your initial seed, frame advancement won't matter.

So, if my Flip Trick doesn't match what the target frame says it should, you're saying to go ahead and Master Ball Dialga, check its IVs, and look at the frame number. I'm going for frame 490, so I should compare what it turned out to be to what I wanted, which should tell me if I'm late/early?

And that's the reason why you need to do 128 steps exactly.

Also, just tested and the birds do respawn after being killed and then beating the E-4 again and talking to Oak.

No, I'm saying if your flips match and you STILL get the wrong result - check its IVs and which frame it came from.

If you're unsure about your flips - get your initial seed a few times from that Dialga to see if your Delay and Seconds didn't go all whack.

Why is this so confusing to me? I'm sorry, but I don't understand.
Are you saying to double check the seed from the spread I found on the RNG Reporter, or catch a few Dialgas with the timing I think should work and check where I "ended up" on the list.

Again, sorry for all these questions.

Just catch a few Dialgas as if you were doing calibration all over again. Y'know, just to double check that your delays didn't do something like shift from even to odd or vice versa.

I failed my first attempt and the gloom i put in with the correct time and everything came up as no seed at all O_O

How many times must you soft-reset to calibrate the seconds and delay? is it until you get something consistant?

I have made a sorta tutorial vid, its not very good quality because it was A) my first ever tutorial, and B) software and harware weren't the best for the job.

However, I think I included a fair amount of detail that could be useful to anyone trying to RNG shiny legends.

I dont know if I did it well enough to be understandable, I hope it is.

(I will link it when it finishes its long upload)
Well, we already have a tutorial on legends, but if it's good, I wouldn't mind taking a look over it and getting mine removed from the OP. If yours is better, mine has no reason for being.
