Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Ok emploon is just ticking me off. I can't find how long it takes to start up. I thought it was 222, but it must've not been right.

I got these results while testing:

212
214
214
218
216
224

I really don't know what is going on. I'm going to take a break and maybe try again tomorrow.

Chaos, on some computers it doesn't work. I tried it on my vista and it didn't work. So wulf, you may not be able to use emloop.

Question
My brother already caught Moltres on his platinum, so the next time that he beats the elite4, will zapdos be frame 1 and articuno fame 6?
or articuno frame 1 and zapdos frame 6 o.o?

Speaking of the legendary bird trio, we did confirm that thier starting frames depending on which ones have been caught previously.

It really should be added to the OP.

Its along the lines of:
Slot 1 = Frame 1
Slot 2 = Frame 6
Slot 3 = Frame 11

The birds start in these slots:
Slot 1 = Moltres
Slot 2 = Zapdos
Slot 3 = Articuno

If you catch one of the birds however...
Caught: Moltres.
New slots:
Slot 1 = Zapdos
Slot 2 = Articuno
Slot 3 =

Caught: Zapdos.
New slots:
Slot 1 = Moltres
Slot 2 = Articuno
Slot 3 =

Caught: Articuno
New slots:
Slot 1 = Moltres
Slot 2 = Zapdos
Slot 3 =

Caught: Moltres, Zapdos.
New slots:
Slot 1 = Articuno
Slot 2 =
Slot 3 =

Caught: Moltres, Articuno
New slots:
Slot 1 = Zapdos
Slot 2 =
Slot 3 =

Caught: Zapdos, Articuno
New slots:
Slot 1 = Moltres
Slot 2 =
Slot 3 =

I believe thats every combination, so for anyone who has tried to get all the birds with RNG, if you can't seem to get your frame, this might be why.

Dark-ryu, this should help.

For emloop, there are supposed to be two timers but when I press the space bar I only see one timer counting down. I don't see the second one which uses my actual delay. So what can I do?

How does coin flipping work?

Every spread within a seed will have the same series of coin flip results.

As you probably know, within each seed are multiple frames, each with their own IV spread, nature, PID, etc. However, because all of them share the same exact seed, all of them will get the same results on the coin flip application.

So, if you are trying to abuse the RNG, instead of soft-resetting, flipping tons of diary pages, and catching Pokemon only to find that you did not hit the correct seed, you can flip coins as soon as you enter the game. Once you find a spread you like in RNG Reporter, there should be a list of ten coin flip results in the bottom right-hand corner. If you follow all of the directions during calibration and get your sychronize/reset times correct, you can flip ten coins as soon as you enter the game. If they match the results found under your desired spread, then congratulations, you've hit the correct seed. All that's left to do is advance the frame to the IV spread you want.

Make sense? It's a way of making sure you soft-resetted at the right time.

Hey, I'm having a hard time trying to hit my target delay and frame :/ Anyone have any suggestions? I've calibrated quite alot and i think I'm pretty sure about my usual delay and frame, however when ever i collect my egg i seem to be correct on one thing and off on the other or just completely off. Any suggestions?

Same problem kakashi, that means something is wrong with it.. Whoever is in charge of it should go see whats wrong, but im not sure who that would be, perhaps mingot

Don't worry kakashi, someone was having trouble earlier (last post in the last page) calculating how look he had to stay in the white screen(before entering the game world), I wonder if its just as difficult

You know that there is no "second timer". The timer counts down the first delay, then immediately begins the second. If nothing comes up when your first delay runs out, then something's wrong, but if you haven't let it run out yet, that might be the reason.

Hmm...why is it that I get a different range of delays when I have a different year? For instance, I always got 13 seconds and 622-626 delays when I was in 2009. However, when I went to 2098 in order to hit my delay I've been getting 14 seconds and 630+ delays. Not only my delays changed, but my seconds as well - I did nothing different (I JUST did calibration today, so the delays are very accurate).

EDIT: Wulf - there's two full guides on using emloop on the first page. Read those.

Could someone please shed some light on this?

2. Flip to a page where it says captured/defeated [Pokémon]. Do this three times to advance the frame from 6 to 12. No more, no less. Do not count the journal's initial appearance as a page flip. Each flip to a page with captured/defeated advances the frame by 2, so adjust accordingly based on your calibration frame and your target frame.

Which journal is this talking about?
The one from your bag or the one when you start your game?

Isn't there a second timer Flurries? after the 60 second mark it should count down the delay seconds no?

No, what I meant was there aren't two timers going at the same time. Sorry if that confused you. There are two timers, just in the same spot, one after another.

I'm abusing for IV's and I'm trying to hit a delay of 597, I have reset many times and I've gotten delays of 596, 598, pretty much everything except 597. Any reason I can't hit this delay besides bad luck?

Yes, I know exactly what your problem is. You can only hit even delays currently, because of either the presence or absence of a game in your GBA Slot.

If you have a Pokemon GBA game in your DS, take it out.
If you don't have one in, put one it.

For some reason your delays will be odd/even depending upon whether a GBA game is inserted or not. :)

This should solve your problem.

Mr Fuji, people commonly hit either odd or even delays. It looks like you're hitting all even delays. To fix this, either adjust your year so your spread uses an even delay, or try inserting a GBA cartridge.
