Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

v4lor - The PID used to solve for your SID has no affect in finding the seed using a pokemon's stats. The message telling you to check the date and time mean you put wrong information in somewhere. Either you put in the time when you first synched and it went to the next minute, or maybe you have the pokemon stats out of order (doubt it if doing it by stats), maybe the level is wrong or the pokemon, but most likely the date or time is wrong somewhere. You do remember military time right? 4 am =/= 4pm. This is most likely your problem.

I have a suspicion that the number of menu entries can affect the even-or-odd state of delay.

We know that some people can switch even-or-odd with a GBA cart post-National Dex. I had major issues hitting 620 delay in Diamond trying to catch the Dialga (I could land 618, 619, 621, and 622, but not 620, and shifting years shifted the delays I could hit... >_<). Without the Pal Park available, the GBA cart did nothing for me. I ended up making My Pokemon Ranch attempt to connect to a DS (to get the Connect to Wii option to appear in the Menu), and my problems were shortly solved.

Long story short: I believe using Pokemon Ranch (or presumably PBR as well) to ask for a DS in order to make the "Connect to Wii" option available can solve delay problems like the GBA cartridges can.

That's odd. On my copy of Platinum a 3rd Gen cart changes my delay from even to odd, and I don't have access to the Pal Park yet.

Step 3

Take your target time and note the seconds. First, subtract your usual seconds value (14-15 ish) from the seconds of your target time. From the answer you get, further subtract the value you have from
your Time box. Now take this final answer and plug it into the Pre-Reset Time Box, as labeled above.

Um, for this step if my time was 9:05:14 I subtract the 14 seconds(9:05) then I subtract my time (0.5) I would put 9.4.5? Im a little confused seeing as the delay I need to wait is only 0.5

all4game - you abuse for zapdos at oak, not in grass. So there is no point in trying to scent for zapdos.
Ohh. That makes sense. So i just abuse for it, then talk to oak and it's done? I can go catch Zapdos whenever I want afterwards?

Is there any guarantee as to know what frame you get? The Flip Sequences tell me if I got the right delay or not, but is there anything that lets you know if you got the right frame?

im haveing another problem were i cant click to find how many times i have to flip teh coin or tap it when i put in the seed, its just grey? can anyone help

1. Better english please.
2. Sounds like an old version of RNGreporter, which had this bug. Download the newest one.

Sorry if im being paranoid, but if in your journal it says:
Obtained BIDOOF from Sam for example like in a trade, would it count as 2 frame advances like caught or defeated pokemon?

No, only captured or defeated advance the frame.

thank you rista, because I've been off by one frame everytime I catch heatran (ironic, your avatar is a heatran -.-) i'm being more careful this time, i'll tell you guys the result later, because I have gotten the same faulty heatran twice with a seed..

would anyone also help and see if my SID is right?anyone willing to?

Please read the OP. Specifically the rules part. Also, the forum rules would not be a bad idea.

This is interesting information, I will update the OP with the fact that the Wii game can also be used to swap delays from odd/even. Thank you.
