Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Am I misinterpreting this statement? It's from the first post in the section discussing hatching perfect Pokemon.

After some experience attempting high frames (like 26) and always missing the frame by 3 - 5, I am inclined to believe that the frame in fact increases as soon as you press the A button on the "continue screen". I doubt I'm making a mistake because all I do to advance the RNG is journal flips and that could only increase the RNG by an even number.

Of course, there may be something else I'm missing but I have successfully hatched perfect Pokemon with low frames so this leaves me curious.

The statement is correct.

The frame is advancing between the time when you cancel the Journal and collect the egg.

It doesn't just increase, the NPCs move and cause it to increase. You getting the wrong frame going for a higher frame, it is error by you, cause I know I and several others can get higher frames with no problems.

I'm going to try this soon, so I guess I should ask now. What (if anything) can be done to overcome the NPCs in solaceon town? Just bash A and hope for to beat them?!

Also, for this TRU Shaymin, the nature isn't set if I recall, so do the natures that show up in the reporter show up on the shaymin, or is it still separate?
 
About Shaymin: There is a Wondercard function in RNGReporter to find the IVs. It is not method 1, 2, 3, 4, or J. You should probably read over the section in the OP about Wondercards.
The natures can not be predicted.

The OP that I've been reading...
"Eventually, there will be a comprehensive list of all low frame usable spreads, but for the time being if you need something that is not covered below you can use the "Capture Time Finder" in RNG Reporter. Search using the directions from the "Capturing Perfect Pokémon" using method 1 and then add two to the frame number. If my target frame was 5, and I was manipulating the RNG for a Wondercard, and Mesprit is my only runner, I would need to advance my frame my 4, correct
 
This is really some bullshizzle.

Is there an easier way to hit your target frame? Seriously, I've hit my Delay about 15 times, and not ONCE did it have the Frame I wanted. I'm getting EXTREMELY pissed.

Gah. This is driving me INSANE. I HATE IT.
 
Getting the right frame is indeed the hardest part of breeding. The NPC's are hard to control, but all you can do at this point is just to save/resave and hope the NPC's are locked into the frame you want.
 
You can catch a pokemon and use the Seed Finder option to find what delay you actually hit, instead of your target. If you're breeding, that's your only option. If you're targeting a wild pokemon capture, you can use the seed to time function to generate a series of coin flips, with which you can use to see if you hit your seconds and delay.
 
I haven't tried Wondercard resetting, but I'd imagine you could use the Seed finder function. Just make sure you select the Wondercard option in RNG Reporter.

You can't find your initial seed using a Wondercard Pokemon.

Unless you feel like cycling through all 25 natures.

Done quite a few trials with magikarp and have not gotten a single result maybe i am missing something or i need to get my SID check a third time
 
Did you have somebody use Pokesav to check the SID?
Did you make sure to follow the steps, step by step?
Did you make sure to check the "Shiny" Box?
Did you download the latest RNG Reporter?
Did you do the Calibration Phase to determine your estimated Delay?

my problem is getting a shiny egg/nature (with platinum) done everything to my knowledge but the egg never gets the nature, everything is fine with diamond, so i really don't know what, other than there is something i am missing or need a another SID check.
 
Hey before I read this I wanted to know just one thing: Does this in anyway involve Action Replay or any other method that hacks the game?

An AR is not necessary. RNG abuse only relies on knowing how the RNG works and how to set the date/time, delay, and RNG advancement to our fullest advantage!

I don't have an external device, so all my RNG breeds/catches are 100% legit. The main thing that most people use an AR for is to get their secret ID number; however, if you have caught a shiny (or chained 3-4), you can work it out without an external device.
 
Hey guys! 'tis I the useless one!

So many of you may know the situation already. So today I went to a friend's house and took platinum while I was soft-resetting for IVs. I thought fug it and went to the Battle Factory and we had some fun there, but of course you have to save before going in.

My question is, since I saved but did not collect the egg would it be possible for me to go back and save on the egg again? I guess I would have to calibrate the frame however and choose a different spread. And can anyone give me tips on how to save so that the NPCs don't move as much?

gonna shoot for Zapdos tonight (*pow!*)

What (if any) NPCs do I have to worry about while talking to Oak, and is there any way to overcome them aside of just mashing A and hoping for the best?
