Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Somehow I managed to mess this up AGAIN. I did the same thing as before, except this time, I saved on the Coin Flip app. To get what I wanted, I needed to switch to the Happiness Checker app but not use it, and flip the coin on the Coin Flip app twice. Since I was already on the Coin Flip app, I flipped the 2 coins first, then switched to the Happiness Checker app and left it there while I went to Solaceon and deposited my Pokémon in the Daycare. I then switched off of the Happiness Checker app to the Daycare app. From what I read in the first post, it sounds like doing the Happiness Checker taps first is not required, but is just recommended to avoid accidentally passing through it again, which I did not do. Was this a mistake? I was aiming for frame 15 and I believe I got frame 12. I did in fact have 6 Pokémon in my party when I switched to the Happiness Checker app.

From step 7:

"It is important to remember to switch away from the Happiness Checker before proceeding to the next step!"

Hey for people with a delay of 602 and usually hit the :14 seconds time, do you have any tips on how to successfuly hit that target, because I've been having to hard of a time with that, but that is a target I can hit. I even try soft resetting a second or two later.

Wow, I missed all the fun yesterday! D=
I'm a "14 seconds - 624 delay" person, I hit this particular delay about 75% of the time. I'll tell you how I do it and then you try and see if your results get any better.

Two things I don't do anymore: soft-reseting and button-smashing. Although I got myself a Shiny Adamant 31/31/31/23/31/31 Gyarados using both of those, my seconds and delay were very inconsistent, and my arm had muscle craps for 3 days afterwards (for flexing the wrong muscles while button-smashing).

I found this nice song with a rhytmic beat and I press A to the rythm =D

Now I too use Emloop but in a different way:

Here's a screenshot of the Em-timer interface:

Ronaemloop-1.jpg

Frames: 900 = 15 seconds (yes, it's 15, not 14)
Pre-reset time: 60 seconds
The box below pre-reset time: 0
Ten second-beeper: I check it but I change the value to 1 second.

I press A and the space bar at the same time to sync DS and Emloop, I restart the DS and I DON'T RUN TE GAME.

I wait at the screen, looking at the clock. The red seconds hand of the clock will strike 12 at the same time Emloop beeps and that's when I hit A and keep pressing A at my chosen rhythm. Emloop will beep again at second 14, by this time I'm reaching the continue screen and I press A to go into game world, and them final 15 seconds beep will sound and I already know if I'm likely to have hit my delay judging by how soon after the 14s beep or how soon before the 15s beep I was when I pressed A.

how does wild capture abuse work

what do you do to workout starting frame

i know how to abuse for breeding

now i want to learn wild abuse xD

Quick Question.

Can I abuse the Porygon given to me by the old man/woman? In veilstone city?
Is it method J poke?

Thanks

It's a Method 1 Pokemon, actually. With a Monster Frame of 1. To advance frames inside the couple's house, you'll need to walk 128 steps to advance the frame by the number of pokemon in your party. And no, the couple does not move at all, so you don't have to worry about them advancing the frame.

Oh, thanks =).

So I don't need a syncher then? Also, you said walking. Can I do it by journal flipping too? (I guess it's pretty obvious but I may as well ask).

Yes, and yes (but make sure you search for the necessary frame in Method 1 in RNG Reporter!). The walking is only useful for hitting odd delays.

There is another RNG thread which is purely for posting research on HGSS. All of this is found in that thread.

To abuse for them, you save infront of releasing them. Then, in theory, what you can do it turn North and South to advance by 1, and when you need to advance by 1 more, turn left and walk of the step to release the dogs.

The dogs IVs and nature are generated when they are released from the building. Raikou is frame 1, Entei is frame 6 of method 1. (Check with the thread to confirm).

So I can basically go only for one dog at this time,
in order to abuse for the other one I have to respawn?
Since I can hit only one Seed at that time?

They are on 2 different "frames". you could "theoretically" do them both at the same time as long as the frame the 1st one is on is good and the frame the 2nd one is on "happens" to be good. I'd just do them one at a time though...

thx for the thread! i finally have my first shiny pokemon using the RNG reporter :)! the only thing is that the ivs came out like this 16 22 4 15 4 11 is it possible to get like 31 in each?

Edit: oh my bad, i captured a lvl 50 and more then did the tap and flip and went to the daycare and got the egg and hatched a shiny horsea naughty nature with those ivs. how can i search for those good ivs?

Yes. Just when you search for good IVs, click the "shiny only" box. I don't know if you captured a wild poke, stationary legendary, or hatched an egg though.

matti? read my edit xD!

Oh! You're hatching an egg! Well, first, did you save before picking up the egg? If not, you'll have to start over and get another egg. If you did, just go to the OP and press CTRL+F and search for the phrase "How To Hatch Perfect Pokemon". It will give you all the details there. :) The Frame Calibration is really the only Hard Part. :?

oke so i have to save in front of the guy when he has an egg right? then where do i aply the CTRL+F? on the RNG reporter?

Edit: got it! hehe

Some quick questions:
Does encountering a wild pokemon while doing your steps mess you up?
If you turn a direction but don't acutally move, does that count as a step?
Does changing the lead pokemon in the party affect any steps/journal flips?

Can i get my HG SID by using the shiny gyarados from lake of rage with the RNG reporter?

It's "possible" but RNG Reporter won't be able to get a conclusive answer.

It does affect the frame if you encounter a wild pokemon. The first post states that turning in areas with wild pokemon advances the frame by one. Changing the lead won't affect the frame, but it can have other consequences.

Let's say I change the lead after I finish my steps and then do my journal flips. Will that be ok?
JRT, sorry if I didn't tell you this but honestly I've never been inside snowpoint temple lol. If Regigigas is in an area where wild pokemon are, you don't need to do 128 steps but only need to simply turn once. So save your game facing right or left and then you can turn forwards do advance one time. Because you are only advancing once and not 5 you need to add 2 journal flips to the number I gave you.

Of course if there aren't wild pokemon around then you should do it just as I told you the first time.

There are wild pokes in the room w/ Regigas. It's 1 step/turn=1 Advancement. I just used repels and saved 1 step away facing him to get my odd frame.
