Can the runners affect your frame is they haven't been released yet?
If the Journal automatically opens after selecting Continue to a page with catch data on it, that does not advance frame (right?), but if I flip it, I can still advance the frame without even entering the game world, correct?
It does advance the frame if the journal auto opens to a caught/defeated pokemon page. And yes, you can further advance the frame by flipping to it/other pages more times.
Edit: and AoK, only runners that have been released affect the frame.
Ah, okay. So if the whole time I was calibrating for my egg, my journal auto-opened to a page with catch data, and I determined that my most common frame was 8, it was, in actuality, 6?

Not really, it was still 8, simply because the journal was advancing it twice every time you SR'd. Now if you had it open to a blank page when actually trying for your perfect egg, then you would need to know that without that page being open it would usually be 6.
If your talking about just using the cart alone, it's about the same, but...
1) It uses the new "Method K" in place of DPPt's Method J. The newest version of RNG Reporter has Method K built in.
2) Method 1 apparently still works for "Method 1" Pokes.
3) The Delay is noticably lower. It's somewhere in the 490 range (IIRC).
4) There is currently no "verified" means of confirming your seed. In DPPt, you can coinflip to verify. Currently, however, there is no known method of doing this in HG/SS.
5) Currently, Egg IVs and Natures are either using a new and currently unknown "method" for advancement, or there is some currently unnkown "force" that is advancing the egg frames (sort of like how NPCs advance your egg frame in DPPt).
6) Currently, the only 2 confirmed ways of advancing your frames for IVs for Legendaries is to either A) Walk 128 steps with X amount of pokes in your party (advances the frame by 2 for each poke), or B) as DarkLynx said...
That's all I've been able to glean from the HG/SS RNG Research thread (where you posted this question before! Naughty Naughty! XD) concerning cartridge only RNG abuse.
If anyone knowledgable here can point out any errors in what I listed, or add anything to it, that would be very welcome. :) I'm trying my best to gather what I can so I can import HG and start RNGing myself (cart only).
From what I understand however, it is possible to trade a poke off your SS to someone who can get your SID for you, then plug that and your ID into the Reporter and search for a "decent" shiny spread, then get to Lugia, advance your frames outside the cave by either walking or "detuning" the "Pokemon March Program" on your radio, then enter the cave (counting your steps mind you!), encountering and capturing Lugia, verifying it's IVs and probably repeating 10 times till you get it right because you most likely missed your seed the first time. (Could anybody knowledgable confirm if this is basically right? It's what I've gathered so far...)

yes i am matt, i just got a shiny feebas with a flawless ditto as a parent but i dont think the feebas has good ivs so this is what im going to do take it to the day care lvl it up to lvl 10 and then take it out and try metal kids IV calculator and if it sucks then try again sof reset and thats it. But for perfect Ivs i need to do something with seconds-actual time and something like that.
Actually, as long as you have that one flawles ditto you should be able to produce a baby feebas with like 31/x/31/31/31/31 IVs and whatever nature and shinyness you want. You only really need ONE parent with good IVs most of the time.

Ok so I'm using the TorsoJuking method and I'm wondering if it automatically assumes you've done 10 coin flips and then wants you to do x more flips to advance the frame.
Same with how taps does it count switching to it as one or do you do one less then stated
Cause I need 11 flips and 1 tap so do I 1 flip and just switch to the happiness checker which is the same as one tap.

From what I've seen, 11 coin flips is the total amount. So if you've done 10 already to find your initial seed, you would only do one more.
Okay, now that you have selected your target frame (which was it?) You need to right click that frame over in the Reporter and select "generate adjacent results". Set the Seconds to 0 and 0, the delay, to whatever your average delay is and your frames to like several below, and several above what your "target frame" is. Then, once you've hit your seed, hatch your egg and level it up enough to determine it's IVs over on Metalkid's IV Calc. You can usually be pretty sure of it's IVs by like L10 if you put in it's stats for every single level. Then, compare it's IVs to that list of "adjacent results" to see which frame you actually hit. It'll probably be like, 1 above or below your target frame (unless you actually did hit it the 1st time! XD).
It's a good idea to write down what frame you get each and every time so you can physically see which frame is "randomly occuring" the most. If for example, you start out shooting for frame 5, but you get frame 4,6,4,6,6, you should probably switch to frame 6, or if there's nothing with the IVs you want, then try frame 8, or 10, etc and just do 1 journal flip for every 2 frames above what you're getting.
I have a question about abusing wondercards. I am saved in front of the deliveryman. I reset, do the needed amount of flips, and collect the card. Then I verify I hit the right delay for the needed frame. I understand that the IVs are set now. But is the nature now set, or can I go save right in front of the pokemon and reset for the nature I want (still having the IVs from before)?
Nah, the IVs are different every single time, and the nature varies from wondercard to wondercard. The Worlds 09 Weavile I did a while back had a set nature of Jolly, so everytime the nature was jollly. However, I SR'd a TRU Shaymin about a year ago I guess and it's nature was random, so the IVs were random each time and the nature was random too each time.
I don't think so, as long as you pick up the egg before you go to pick up the pokemon for the seed check.
