Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Yeah, I believe so. The variation in delays is just due to how fast different people usually get through the title sequence.

When you are trying to breed for ivs can you get a frame 0 for an egg? I did 4 flips and saw the NPC turn and walk. So that would be 10 and the ivs of the egg showed up as frame 10.

EDIT: already got it.

I noticed that the npcs in sunnyshore pokemart in diamond don't really move around, but one does keep turning. Would it be safe to try and do 128 steps if I wanted rng a wondercard (if anyone else has done this before)?

If he doesn't turn in a set pattern, he affects the RNG. If everyone in the pokemart either doesn't move or moves in a pattern, then it would work.

Ok actually I want to try an even frame of 114 in jublilife. So I subtract 1 monster frame and 1 for one npc movement which gives me 112. Then divide by 2 which gives me 56 journal flips. After that, wait for the npc to move one step, then talk to the delivery man right away. Does that sound right.

That will work most of the time, however the NPC is controlled by an RNG call generating a number from 1 to 5 as such:

1 - 4: Turn
5: Stay Still

Therefore, if a 5 is generated, you will get a frame off.

However, 80% of the time, that will work.

Okay, I'm going after the fully-flawless spread, which is frame 116. I have no roamers out. I see that the guide says I should pause shortly between cancelling the journal and speaking with the delivery man... by briefly, do they just mean I should pause long enough to see the one wandering NPC (in a mart where there is only one) take a step or turn? Would you recommend I release a roaming Pokémon first if possible?

I need help.

Okay, so I'm breeding a Shiny Natu with Synchronize as the ability.

Which Ability number would Synchronize be? 0 or 1? Does anyone know where I can find a list of abilities to ability numbers on RNG Abuse for future reference?

Hey is it unusual to be ending up with wierder delays with wondercards?

This is so wierd. My usual seconds is :14 and my delay is 602, but using the spread from the Wondercard RNG Abuse thread, I keep getting a constant second :05 and 531-544 of delays. Is this only because of the wondercards or does it have something to do with journal flipping or what?

@ Adam Forte: Use the dex in RNG Repoter, or the on-site list here. EDIT: Beaten by a lot.

Also, I noticed a strange thing while RNGing a Magneton at Fuego Ironworks. I hit my seed, did the correct number of journal flips, and encountered a Magmar that was two frames above my target seed. Convinced I just messed up the flips, I hit seed again and did the flips again, and got the same Magmar. I tried with one less flip, and I caught the Magnemite I wanted. The only suspicious thing on the route was a honey tree. Has anyone else had any problems with this?

And in case you were wondering, I was going for frame 190, using sweet scent on grass, doing ((190 - 2)/2) = 94 flips at first, then switched to 93 flips.

Also this is what I'm doing: In jubilife and saved infront of delivery man, did my sr, did my journal flips, let an npc walk once (because of even frame), got the pokemon, and then do my journal flips. Is there anything here that would affect my time and delay?

Ok still have my even frame of 114 for wondercards. So I subtract 1 monster frame and 1 for the npc to move, get my 56 journal flips. So I SR, then do my journal flips, and after that, I wait for the npc to move once, then talk to the delivery man. Thing is, the ivs were from a frame of 113. Did that mean the npc was 5: Stay Still?

Or since the step advances the rng, wouldn't 114 become 115 and then just sub 1 and divide 2?

if my Frame was uneven and there's a NPC in the Area and instead of me Turning once would it be the same thing as them turning once too?

Ok I've done 55, 56, and 57 journal flips before letting the npc walk a step in the pokemart, and it still does nothing for my frame of 114. Any suggestions?

I'm trying to catch a relicanth on route 226. There is one NPC that turns that is far away from my screen but is on route 226 would that effect the RNG?

Yes as long as they are on the same route as you they affect it but some areas have different parts like route 210 has north and south but route 226 doesnt so yeah you would have to stop that NPC by rebattleing them
EDIT: Pikachu beat me too it

So in order to RNG a Wonder Card, assuming an even number of advances is required, I have to have the Journal automatically open, and flip it to advance the frame, before even checking if I've hit my seed? Sounds quite tedious, especially when you have a large frame (have to advance every time, not just once you know you've hit your seed) AND you still have to fluke the nature...

JRT, I had some issues with wondercard frames, and the only thing I could really recommend is possibly releasing a runner if you have any left. For whatever reason, for me it seemed to give me much more consistent results, whereas without a runner the frame did not really seem to end up where I wanted it, and was different each time. Also just try exiting the building and re-saving. Don't know if it actually works, but I did that also while releasing my runner.

Misdreavus, yes that is basically what you have to do. Emloop makes wondercards much easier, as you can hit a higher delay and have extremely low frames (the ones I did had all frames <50). This makes it much less time consuming for each reset. And fluking the nature is a huge pain, especially if you're only going for one certain nature.
