Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

I have one more question, regarding one of my previous questions:
"In the first post it says
"
- Double clicking the Pokétch Happiness Checker Application will advance the Incubator RNG by the number of Pokémon in your party multiplied by two.
- Switching to the Pokétch Happiness Checker Application will advance the Incubator RNG by the number of Pokémon in your party multiplied by two."

So does that mean that I can switch to the happiness checker X amount of times rather than tap? (+1 of course, since you always have to switch to it anyway to start tapping)"

Which somebody answered yes to.

Now, what counts as opening the happiness app? Can i just click it quickly to the app, then away, or do I have to wait for it to open up (so I can see the pokemon)?
This is just hypothetical, since I recently tried it like this, and while it was easier (not having to stare at when the pokemon jump) it took quite a bit more time, and that was waiting for the app to open, so if I could do it quicker, that would be great, otherwise I'll just go back to how the guide says to do it.

@Aviator - Yes.

Well, i tried it with 632 calibrated delay and got a delay of 714 twice with 716 as my target. That just means I was a little off with my resetting/hitting continue right? If so, then that means I can change my target delay to whatever I need, and I should be able to hit it using the timer? And if that's the case, thanks a whole bunch for helping me learn to use that thing!

Uh... This is a really dumb question, but...
I figured out what spread I wish to hit with the spreadsheet list.
I then put the seed into the seed slot on the RNG Reporter.
However, I can't seem to locate the spread in the Reporter o.O
I tried putting in the listed IV's as well, but that didn't work either...
A lil help?

EDIT: Figured it out, lol :P
Need a syncher...

Hard reset (clicking the off button) also works when RNG'ing right?
There's no difference between SR and HR, am I correct?

EDIT: No need to answer, I figured it out. It's exactly the same as long as you HR before and then start the game as the clock reaches 0.

Today I figured out how to create a jnlp file for my programs (Yay!...) What that means is that it should now run on all of the OS's that didn't like the jar files (Windows 2000, some olders versions of Mac OS, etc). Also, it means I will now be able to put Icons on JavaRNG and PikaTimer instead of those lovely java coffee cups that are on there now :). Does anyone have suggestions for Icons?

I'm so glad to year that! That means I'll be able to catch nice Pokémon without relying on stupidly high frames^^
Anyway, I dunno about JavaRNG but PikaTimer is really asking for the obvious: a Pikachu with a timer xD

For heracross, which ability is ability 1? Because on Smogon is says Swarm, and on Serebii it says Guts. I have found Smogon to be more accurate, but I'd like to know which is which.

EDIT: Also, can you control what you find in the water when fishing?

1 Is Guts, well at least, I did the flips for a spread with 1 and I got one with guts. Guess we're both RNGing for the same thing right now. XD

Anyway, if I've determined that i'm saved on a frame of six, should I shoot for an odd number like 19 because i have one roamer, that way

19-1=18/2=9 journal flips

It's Guts. Serebii is the correct site to go search for abilities. Smogon doesn't exactly state they're ability 0 and 1 and when I used to asume that they were supposed to be in that order I made some big mistakes.

Yes, you can control what you'll find. In RNG Reporter click "calculate Encounter Slot" for a spread and it'll tell you if you're gonna find a Pokémon or not and which is the encounter slot for Pokémon fished with each rod. You can then check which Pokémon corresponds to the encounter slot using the links the RNG Reporter provides below the encounter slots.

Onn Encounter Slots you should see Fishing Super Rod Slots and Great Rod Slots, basically the same thing as Sweet Scent slots but it advances by 4 and make sure it says "Landed a Pokemon" or else you will NOT have a Pokemon appear and you will go past your frame

Yup =) Go for Uneven Frames, cant do a half of a journal flip lol
Except if your frame is 19 then... 19-6-1=12/2= 6 Flips
As for the Ability thing check here

but wait, when does the roamer advancement get put into play, because I was aiming to get a frame of nine so 9-6-1=2/2=1 journal flip but when i checked i was on a frame of 8

How did you find out you're locked on frame 6? Because, if you're locked on frame 6 after you GOT your egg, it means that the roamer advancement is already taken in account. You should then aim for even frames, because the only way to end on an odd frame is if a npc walks.

yeah, i figured it out after i got my egg, so what you said makes sense. guess i'm going back to even frames! XD

Ooops sorry I was wrong on that XD Forgot about the roamer being taken into account on the egg frame, sorry!
Also I think the Roamer Advances as soon as the little map in the left corner is loaded...

well, much to my delight I managed to hit my delay, but after hatching my egg and leveling it up/plugging its stats into MetalKid's calculator, I see that I didn't hit my target frame. Dejectedly, I thought i'd check to see what frame i did land on, but nothing I got matched what the calculator got, and I checked all the way up to frame 30 (and I only did 2 journal flips) i am rather confused as to what happened here

lol Im having the same problem.... Im trying to find my Eggs Frame and I entered the IV's of the Egg into Metal Kids and there were no matches and I didnt even advance the frame! Maybe theres something wrong with the calculator...? o_O

ok, i've noticed something weird that may have to do with the problem i'm experiencing

I hit my delay again (yay! personal victory!) and caught a pokemon, and got this seed 270E032E

On the DPPt time finder, the seed it says im trying to hit is 110E032E clearly they're different. Furthermore, when I generated spreads for 270E032E i found that the results I got on frame 10 (my target frame) were the same as my egg.

But my big question is- if I have the right time set for my DS (which i do) why am I not hitting the right seed?

Somehow, the 1st timer is actually lasting an extra 22 (Idk how I got 12 from 36-14) seconds. Try manually lowering the time of the first timer to 45.13. It's a bit of a shot in the dark, but the 2nd timer correctly gives you 804 delay so you just need to adjust what second you enter the game. You can also try shutting down other programs/restarting (I've had PikaTimer become unreliable due to lag).

EDIT: Thinking back on when you calibrated, It's likely that you were hitting second 14 with lag, so when it stopped lagging you were suddenly unable to reach continue in time.

Well, I restarted my computer, and reopened Pikatimer, doing what I did before. Now suddenly i'm getting 6 for my seconds, and delays in the 640's. :(

EDIT: you were totally right about the lag, if i open all the windows i had open earlier, then suddenly i'm able to hit my time and delay, i'll try to remove 22 seconds from the first clock

Heh, that should've occurred to me yesterday. You're probably (ok definitely) better off recalibrating with no lag. I guess it won't matter too much if you lag by a consistent amount, you'll just have to readjust the first timer each time (sadly the adjustments won't stay consistent). Basically, it's easier to replicate 0 lag then X amount.

argh, this is so confusing. So how do i recalibrate with no lag?

Sry I think I made that sound worse then it is. Just redo what you did yesterday (finding delay/second), but make sure PikaTimer isn't lagging. An easy lag test is to set a 1 minute timer, synchronize it to an external clock, and see if it stops on the same second it started.
