hmmm then if it doesn't give any results then that spread doesn't exist on that day and year nothing you can do about it but maybe you can try changing your delay range that may fix it

well... ive been trying it with other pokemon and other dates, wouldnt do anything... when i tryed again today it wouldnt run when i hit the run RNG program... computer is bad though... check it and find out for me, if you dont mind

if you tell me what your usual delay range is then I can do it

well, i usually have about 6 sec between when i turn on the switch to my DSL and the continue screen...
hmm are you just trying to do shiny egg abuse or IV abuse or both? because if your doing IV abuse you need to know what a delay is

im trying to do it all...i really wish i knew what you were talking about when you say delay... it would mae it alot easier... i just know the time it takes me from my star screen to gameplay screen

this is one of my first RNGs... why not use an everstone

ok read the articles in the front page they will explain everything bearsfan even has some videos posted in the front page if reading isn't your thing, do that then comeback with any remaining questions

okay then... it has alot of reading to do so thanks on heads up on videos... really just trying to get good pokes... thanks though

So I've never done anything with IVs or an RNG before and this is going to be my first. Aside, apparently, from patience, is there anything I need?

I keep getting a "No matches found for the IV's entered. Please check and try again."

Well, the RNGReporter programme, and a DS and Pokémon game. Depending on what you're trying to do, you might need or want any of the following:
The happiness checker app (Used to advance the IRNG for breeding shinies/good natured/good ability Pokémon)
The coin flip app (Used to advance the IRNG and to check you've hit your initial seed)
The daycare app (To see if an egg has formed)
The journal (with entries saying you caught something) (Used to advance the RNG for catching good Pokémon and IV abusing hatched Pokémon)
The bike (Makes hatching eggs easier)
A clock with second hand/stopwatch/timing programme (Used to accurately time yourself when trying to get the right initial seed)
A foreign Ditto (Makes breeding shinies easier)
A flawless Ditto (makes breeding good IV Pokémon easier)
A Pokémon with Fly (To fly to and from Solaceon)
Some Repel and a high enough level Pokémon (When walking in long grass to advance the RNG for catching good Pokémon)
A way of catching Pokémon (Pokéballs, for instance) (When catching Pokémon and to check your initial seed)
A way of checking IVs (supply of rare candies plus access to metalkid's IV calculator, for instance) (To see if you've got the right thing, what frame your on, what your initial seed was and so on)
A Pokémon with Flame Body or Magma Armour (To help hatch eggs)
A Pokémon with Sweet Scent (To catch good Pokémon)
A Pokémon with Synchronise of the right nature (To catch good Pokémon)
A naturally caught shiny/4-8 chained shinies/knowledge of your SID (To get shinies)

I keep getting a "No matches found for the IV's entered. Please check and try again."

At what stage? Finding your initial seed? Or looking for a seed that gives the spread you want?

I'm interested in IVs rather than shinies. Until March 14, I'm more or less getting comfortable with the whole process of breeding for IVs. I have everything listed except Synch/SS, which shouldn't be hard to get. Nevermind, I also don't have either listed Ditto.

I was following bear's video (the reading in the abstract is somewhat confusing for me) and I was just following the calibration video steps.

Also, metalkid's IV calculator is giving multiples. I understand how to narrow it down, but is there any better option that certain EVs and rare candies?

Ah, okay. I usually use the stats to seed method, but both should work the same. Assuming you entered the IVs and the Pokémon's Nature correctly, then you must have entered the wrong date or time. The time you enter should be the time your DS's clock shows when you press continue at the COntinue/New Game screen; though, of course you can't see your DS's clock at that point, which is why you need an external clock, and to be sure that your DS clock is set to the same exact time as the external clock. Then you do the soft reset as soon as the external clock reaches a new minute, and enter that minute into RNGReporter.

Ok, the seed method mostly worked except I'm not sure my clocks are synched properly because I got a Seconds of 56.

All right, all seems in order so far. 14 Seconds, 642 Delay.

Im wondering,
how easy is it to hit split frames?
Because I have the pokemon for a perfect iv kindgra,
but the frame its on is a split frame, and it would take 4 minutes,
so I don't want to waste my time.

On the RNG Reporter you set the method to Breeding (DPPt). There should be a guide on the front page as to how to find out your starting frame. Find that, then look for a spread using the Time Finder for a spread with a delay similar to your average, and go for it. Make sure you have a page in your journal that has a "Caught/Defeated" pokemon on it so you can advance the frame by 2 so you have more spreads to choose from.

I don't get this step
10. Select "Breeding (DPPt)" and then click "Generate" with this initial seed.
What information do you type there?
It seems like a step is skipped.
Thanks to any help. =)

In the top left corner of the RNG Reporter there's a thing that says Method with a little box next to it. Open that up and choose Breeding (DPPt). Then in the lower left corner, click generate and find the IV spread that matches your baby pokemon's IVs. It should be anywhere from about 1-10.

just a couple quick questions....

1.is there a fairly good way to hatch shinies, or catch shiny legends in HG/SS? if so, is it more difficult than in Plat

2. would I need to download anything else? (I downloaded the Mingot's RNG reporter last September)
