Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Does jumping on the bike add to the rng advancement for either method1 or methodj pkmn?

Also how do I determine what the gender of a egg will be using rngreporter?

ex
(its says 12.5%M, 25%F 50%F, 75%M) or M F M M and I get a female

not sure about the bike but if it isn't listed here then probably not, as for the gender ratios; 12,5% refers to pokemon that have a 12.5% of being female so in the case you posted if you hatched a pokemon with a 12.5% chance of being female then the pokemon would come out male, always on that seed. The same goes if it has a 50% chance of being female or male, then on that situation you described the pokemon will hatch female.

Does anyone here have the ability to find out my sid for me. I don't have any shinies btw, so you cant find it out that way. (however that way works)
Much appreciated!

Uh, look harder. I'm looking right at it (in the latest RNG Reporter, 7.10).

Yeah, the option is here for 87.5% female, but no option for 87.5% male. I even redownloaded the software to make sure it wasn't some strange bug in my version, but if the problem doesn't exist in yours... well, I really don't know what to think. Anyway, I found my SID already with some other chained shinies, so no big deal.

It's a typo.

Just use the 87.5% female option. Well, or you could have.

OmegaDonutt does not see the error because it is already corrected in the source code. And he built his own version from source code.

Okay, so the 87.5% female option works for both 87.5% female and 87.5% male?

I downloaded the source code the other day and installed the .NET framework, but I don't know the command to build the code - help me out? Thanks very much!

EDIT: Oh, are there no 87.5% female Pokemon? ... Well, don't I feel silly.

No. It's a typo. It was meant to say 87.5% MALE/ what Pokemon is there that is 87.25% female, anyway?

There is no way to build it, as it stands, with the command line tools. Download visual C# express edition.

How am I suppose to find my SID when my Bin SID starts with 4 zero's?

If someone asked you for 0005 dollars, which president would be on the bill you gave them?

I've heard that Synchronizers don't work in HG/SS... is this true? and if so... when putting it in the time finder would I consider it Method J or Method 1? (Suicune or Lugia for fairness' sake)

Here's what I have:

[AD04FE5C]

AD04
FE5C

1010110100000100 - AD04
1111111001011100 - FE5c
0101111001011110 - Trainer ID (24158 with an added 0 in the front to make it 16 digits)
------------------
0000110100000000 - 3328

where did you hear that? they work but HG/SS follow method K not method J for wild pokemon

I see... I have some pretty lousy sources it seems... and what is different (for Lugia and Suicune specifically if it makes a difference)
the only difference is the coinflips no longer being available to check your delay and target time. Mehtod K is similar to method J except they are two different ways of for the game producing wild pokemon with method J belonging to D/P/Pt and method K to HG/SS. For Lugia and suicune, they are method K pokemon, so if you haven't already, download JavaRNg or the latest RNg reporter and search for method K spreads for those two not method J, aside from that everything else is the same, you still have to find a way to advance frames and have a synchronizer at the head of your party.

so theres a new version of the RNG reporter? (downloaded mine back in September and wondering if I need to get a new one.. just checked... it's 7.01) and advancing frames is not a big problem... it will just be more time consuming walking that much... (I do notice in some parts of the RNG reporter that it does say HG/SS delay.. so maybe it is current...) thank you for your help

Yeah if it says that then it should have method K as an option. You can also just look at the version number it should be 7.10 its the latest with HG/SS method K included

I'm stuck in the part about the Adjacent thing or whatever it's called. I find the IV spread of my egg up there and I know I'm saved on frame 6, but I have no idea what to do next.

i'm assuming you're trying to hatch a perfect pokemon, right?
well now that you know your initial frame go to time finder in rngreporter and look for an iv spread that you like. look at the time and delay of the spread. those are your targets.

right click and choose "generate adjacent results". then set your ds time to one minute before and calibrate it with another clock. after a minute, soft reset and mash the a button so you hit your target time. do the required amount of page flips and immediately collect the egg. then do the coin flip trick by going to pokeapp #15 and doing 10 coin flips. then click the search flips button to find out what delay you actually hit. then just repeat until you get your desired ivs.

if you still need some help just pm/vm me k?

If a NPC moves in a pokemoncenter, it advances the RNG by 1 right?
EDIT: If my target frame is 116 and i have 2 roamers atm, how many flips do i have to do? (Wondercard abusing)

You are better off killing one roamer so you won't have to worry about the NPC. If you have one roamer then you have to do 57 journal flips (116-2)/2

On a side note, does synchronizers work with fossils?

Emerald

I succesfully RNG't a Drowzee using:

Frame: 2391 | 31 / 4 / 31 / A / A / B | 0:39:85

Found in the regular spreads list here: http://www.smogon.com/ingame/rng/emerald_rng_part1

Now I actualy want to RNG for Physical Pokémon on Emerald, but the spreads in the regulas spreads list are way too long for me so I want to find my own.

Do I have to search under No Split / Split / Alternative or something else in the RNG reporter?

Thanks.
