I am attempting to catch something with perfect IVs by using RNGReporter and the Emloop timer to hit a high delay. Could someone confirm if what I'm about to do is correct? I'm attempting to follow the first guide.
1. I went into RNGReporter's Time Finder, set all the IVs to 31, and entered a delay range of 700-999. I let it search for a while, and I found a spread that requires a delay of 997 and is on frame 201.
2. I go to the Emloop timer and enter the delay of 997 into the top box and click the button below it, giving me a seconds value of 16.61.
3. Back in RNGReporter, I select Generate Times on my selected spread and filter the results to those with a seconds value of 16. I select one, and set my DS date to the correct date.
4. I prepare to set my DS time to one minute before my target time, pushing the space bar on Emloop at the same time I press A on my DS.
5. I enter my game, soft resetting as soon as the first Emloop timer runs down. Then I mash A until I hit the continue screen, where I push A to enter the game as the second Emloop timer runs out.
6. I catch a Pokemon and find it's delay. I subtract my target delay from the delay of this Pokemon, and add this value to the delay I entered in Emloop. If the seconds value increases, I should decrease the minute that I reset my DS to by an equal amount. (Does this work? It's in the first guide, but I don't quite understand.)
7. I return to step 5 and repeat until I hit my delay. Then I advance my frame as normal and encounter my Pokemon.
Thanks for any help!
