Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Just curious:
The snow at Acuity Lakefront in Platinum affects only rhe IRNG making checking the seed with the Coin Flip app impossible, right?
HOWEVER!
I can still attempt to RNG without check the seed...?
Or does the weather there affect my frames as well?
 
Ok I'm trying to RNG a Bold Zapdos with 70 grass. I have found the seed thanks to Java RNG and it shows up in RNG reporter also, but when I try to generate the rest of the Elm calls the Bold HP Grass is nowhere to be seen

EDIT: nvm I just needed a Syncher

you could try but your gonna have to check if you hit your seed otherwise how would you know you did in order to RNG at all. I'm guessing this means you're going to pokeradar abuse? The weather does not affect the frame advancements for the other RNG just the IRNG.

No, I'm trying to just get in and go the 11 frames to try and catch the Pokemon xD
I was just curious if the snow got in the way off advancing frames.

ok well it won't so I'm assuming your just going to hope that once you do your advancements a Pokemon shows up by you moving in the snowy grass.
 
I am hitting odd delays in Platinum and I want to hit even ones (I normally hit even ones). What's the trick to doing this?

insert/remove a 3rd gen Pokemon game to change the delay or change the year, adding one to the year decreases the delay by one, subtracting one from the year adds 1 to the delay.
 
Not sure why it's alternating for you, since usually it just only even or only odd. In any case, if you're just hitting odd for now and want it even, stick in a pokemon GBA game in your DS and it should work ^^

EDIT: Slow again, haha.
 
My Calibration works now! But I've gotten some inconsistent delays.

I tested four times and got the following:

Delay: 611
Seconds: 14

Delay: 600
Seconds: 14

Delay: 600
Seconds: 14


Delay: 603
Seconds: 14

But aren't I supposed to get only odd or even delays? :/ Each test was done 3 minutes apart without a GBA cartridge in (only the little fake one that comes with the DS Lite to cover up the GBA slot.)

Not a big deal really (at least I hope so), now that this seems to be working for some odd reason, I'm going to get back to RNGing tirelessly for this ruddy Gastly that's been evading me for the past few days.

I'm guessing you already have the RNG Reporter downloaded. If you do, just click on the Dex/IV Check box, and it will tell you the Pokes abilities, and if they are ability 0 or ability 1.
 
When RNGing Giratina at the Sinjoh Ruins, shouldn't I be able to verify my seed and advance my frame just standing in front of Giratina's corner? Also, is it Method J or K?

The the Arecus event pkmn are method 1 frame 1 as their are gift pkmn.
You can verify your frame inside the ruins but I think if your planning to advance the frame via radio, you must do so outside
 
I was already being helped with this, but the person helping me appears to have went off line. I'm trying to Abuse for Articuno in Platinum.

I have hit my correct delay and seconds, (Delay = 602, Seconds = 14, Seed = 220602bc).

I need to hit frame 522. I have a captured Poke on the first page of my journal.

What do I need to do next?
 
Okay, I hit my seed FINALLY. So damn excited, advanced 9 frames, and sweet scented. (Poke is on frame 11) Caught it. Wrong. Completely wrong actually. Not on ANY of the frames around it. Er, what could have gone wrong? Sweet scented pokemon aren't generated with a different method are they? Platinum btw if that helps.

I'm RNGing in the first room of the Old Château, as far as I know there are no NPC's around to mess up my frame. And the nature and IV spread I got where no where to be seen on any frames near the frame I was after (not even 20 or so frames away)
 
Ah, for a Gastly, XD. Yeah, no NPCs and you should be fine everywhere. It's hard then to know whether or not you advanced your frame incorrectly or was just horribly off on the delay, XD. Are you using Pikatimer?

Either way, on seed to time, I'd increase the delay intervals - I usually go for 90+ lol, just to be covered. Though I believe you got the coinflip sequence (this can happen on different delays...just a tad rare, but possible).

Anyways, the only thing is to try again and hope for the best. If it's on frame 11, then yeah, subtract 2 for sweet scent and also any roamers, lol.
