Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

I have Java. But it's not running. How do you open Java and run the program?

Does nothing come up when you click to run the program? Or do you get any error messages?

Chaos: Thanks, I was going to hope for Timid/Jolly nature but I just wasn't sure if Physical or Special is a better set for Mew.

Question about radio frame advancing. I am wanting to learn it as hitting high frames with Elm takes forever!!!!

When I go to the radio, the top right one, all I get is bits and pieces of what they're saying, is that how it's supposed to be?

I've downloaded the program for checking the radio, but don't quite fully understand it. If anyone can help me with learning this, or telling me anything about using the radio for advancement it'll be greatly appreciated!

Edit: Also, I would like to know, say I am aiming for a frame of 103. Actual frame of 114. And I capture a Pokemon at actual frame 89, will that make me at frame 89, than all I'd have to do is advance the frame 12 more times to be able to sweet scent?
I've been wondering this radio frame advancement too. Could someone please help?

Okay, can someone explain to me why can't I find any of the Elm responses on the list on my reporter when I'm trying to rng abuse the Snorlax blocking the path between vermillion city and the route.

To advance using the top right radio station, all you need to do is hit that button, drag the tuner back to the middle, and repeat. You don't need to listen, or wait a certain amount of time or anything. It will advance 13-14 frames each use (at least on my game), but it can vary, so be sure to stop well ahead of your target frame.

Isn't that a bit too unreliable way of advancing the frame since it can either advance it 13 or 14? Is there any station that advanced always the same amount of frames?

Okay, so the elm responses don't work. And can you tell me again how do I know what frame points I'm getting if the frames of the music on the radio is inconsistent?

Pokemon Search Party and Serial Radio Drama, located on the lower right hand corner of the radio advances the frame by 1 when they are on. That is unreliable but it's just a quick way to advance frames and you can stop before you reach your target and use elm calls to finish your advancements, that way you'll know where you are. Also, you can use a program called radio seed to check your frames using the messages produced by Serial Radio Drama and Pokemon Search party

So where do I find this program called the Radio seed?

I tried the lower right section but there was this Buena Password thing. Is there any particular hour where there is Serial Radio Drama or Pokemon Search Party on? (And hopefully not that Buena Password)

That top right station would be amazing only if I know exactly how many frames I have advanced. Is there any way I can confirm how many frames I have advanced?

Pokémon search party plays for one hour from 00:00, 03:00, 06:00, 09:00, 12:00, 15:00, 18:00 and 21:00.
Serial Radio Drama plays for one hour from 01:00, 04:00, 07:00, 10:00, 13:00, 16:00, 19:00 and 22:00.
If you still want to use RadioSeed for frame tracking (for example if you are in the champion's room and have used roamers to verify your seed), you can close the lid of your DS (putting it in sleep mode does not affect the RNG) and wait for the hour to change. Professor Elm-based tracking is also available for convenience.

A link to radioseed is on the front page of this thread.

hi, to BREED a shiny pokemon with perfect IVs in diamond do i just have to do the same process i do when i want to breed a regular shiny pokemon (clicking on the shiny box) and from then proceed to do the rng process the same way as i did for breeding a non shiny pokemon with perfect IVs?

edit: Thank you, megaman x

yes. Make sure you take note of whether your parents are international or not as that affects your results.

What spread would anyone suggest as far as RNGing the gift Mew? I'm aiming for odd frames, so the following would work:

(6E0F029A) (141)
31/31/31/6/31/31

(690302C3) (43)
31/13/31/31/31/31

(2A0C029F) (513)
31/30/30/31/31/31

(3B090283) (5)
31/11/31/31/31/30

(5407027B) (183)
31/14/31/30/31/30

(4C020286) (7)
31/18/30/31/30/30

(1A0102AD) (205)
31/10/31/30/30/31

I've just never actually used Mew before because I haven't had access to one until now, so I don't know what spread I want to RNG. Any suggestions?

I'm having some problems with Radio Seed program. I have advanced enough frames to something like 120-125 with Pokemon Music channel since it's the fastest way to do so. Then I try to track my frame using Elm Calls. It tells me the accurate frame I'm currently on, and I keep advancing it to 137 with Elm Calls (say the Elm Calls told me I'm currently on frame 130, so I advance the frame 7 times and then go and pick Jirachi). However, when I go and pick up Jirachi, it seems it isn't on frame 138 and therefore has random IV's. I succeeded previously when I advanced the frame to 137 with Elm/Joey calls and then picked up Jirachi.

EDIT: Never mind I found the sollution.

Ok...I'm trying to hatch a shiny calm Manaphy, and I really don't know if RNG Reporter is wrong or not, but I searched for a shiny calm spread of 30/0/29/28/31/30, and I know for a fact that I hit that frame (and the coin flips were correct, too). When I hatched the Manaphy, it wasn't shiny, and it wasn't calm - it was rash, but it possessed the same exact IV's as the spread I was looking for.

Is it just me, or is this a glitch on RNG Reporter? I need to verify this.

(BTW, the seed is E5130337.)

I'm pretty sure to hatch a shiny manaphy, you need to RNG it so it hatches shiny on a game other than the one you are doing the abuse on. It was made so it won't hatch shiny on the game it was received.

Hm, so that's probably why, then. Great...so that means I have to trade the egg to another cartridge and hope it hatches shiny there? Because if so...well, I still have a chance, I guess, but it may be risky...

I'm not totally sure but I'm guessing you need to hit a spread for the egg that you have as a shiny spread on the game you are planning to hatch it on.

How would I go about trying to RNG Dialga/Palkia/Giratina with the TRU Arceus? I'm not sure if they count as monster frames since they aren't in the room with you, and I'm not sure if I can get a Timid/Modest hexflawless spread with any of them because they're Method 1 Pokes.

their monster frames are 1, and of course you can get them with Timid/Modest nature and hexflawless IVs. If you could get those natures and IVs for Method K Pokemon then most certainly you can get them for Method 1 Pokemon like them.

Are they considered "Wondercard Pokes" or "Captured Pokes"? I'm trying to follow Mingot's guide, because HG/SS at least follows the method D/P/Pt uses.
