Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

when i get a time for RNG breed and i copy the seed is it possible to do seed to time and mess with the delay but keep the same results?

@Lux:

I'm not sure I've fully followed, but if you mean change the delay, but leave the flips / elm calls alone, then yes.

If you advance or decline the year it will decrease or increase the delay respectively.

e.g.
Say you're trying to hit a delay of 690 in the year 2010.

If you change the desired year to 2011; everything other than the delay will remain the same, and the delay will decrease by 1, i.e. be 689.

If you change the desired year to 2044; everything other than the delay will remain the same, and the delay will decrease by 34, i.e. be 656.

Not sure if that's what you're asking though.

ic anyway isnt the NPC meant to advance the frame? when it moves b4 the egg i get frame 11 but if it doesnt move i get frame 13

I can't remember what method is used for stationary legends (Suicune, Bird Trio, Mewtwo, etc.)

Can anyone refresh my memory?

ThePikaTheory: It is advancing - I've never ran into a case in which it hasn't. Adjusting pikatimer is checking to see what delay you hit and then inputting that into "other delay" in pikatimer.

leecher: I don't think it's so much people ignoring you but that they don't know how to do it. Not many people do Emerald abuse unfortunately. Sorries :)

Ok, so I've adjusted Pikatimer and I'm getting closer to the delay I want. But my frames are still not advancing... I'm curious as to why this is happening.

Torchic:Thanks

Pika: I'm not all that familiar with RNGing in DPPt, but I noticed that the frame advancement specifies pages where you caught or defeated a wild pokemon. Could this be your issue?

Do your coin flips and match them up to RNG Reporter. If that doesn't work, catch a wild pokemon and use the IV checker to check IVs and enter them into Seed Finder. If using no AR, catch a wild pokemon at lvl 50+ and enter its stats into Seed Finder.

But how do I "Match Them Up?"

EDIT: Do I set the "Delay" to +99, -99 and so every single possible Elm combination will be there, so when I use the "Elm Generate" thingy it will find a match and I will look at the delay and enter that in?

It does, and that's what I'm doing. But for some reason, I'm doing something wrong that I can't find out about.

Something has also caused a problem for my DS. I was able to synchronize my clock the way it was before to RNG properly, but I did a 60 second test a few moments ago and my clock seems to be off by 1.3 seconds or so, but I can't tell exactly what. So I started to experiment with it a bit, and synchronize Pikatimer with my clock, and after about two hours of adding a second, subtracting a second, etc, I still can't hit anywhere near my seed, and I don't know what's wrong. I might be out of RNG commission for a bit, unfortunately. :(

I do as well, but what I'm saying is that my DS clock is off a bit because it takes 61-62 seconds to reach a minute instead of 60 seconds.

NPC movement depends on the current seed. You probably have a seed that makes them totally unmoving so you can't get the frame you want.

Choose a new seed.

You hit your seed, advance the frames to minus 1 of the target. So if you're going for frame 20, advance to frame 19, than talk to Zapdos. Pretty much all there is to it.

Edit: Yay! 600 POSTS FOR ME! :D!

nice, im planning to rng moltres and mewtwo since i haven't caught them yet. if i'd known this earlier and able to hit consistently me delays, i would have a suicune hp electric on a pokeball now. D:
