Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Does anyone know what I should put for emulator speed default in bitxor calculator if VBA is running at about 360%? Also if possible, how to make it more than 360%. (I'm pretty sure it can run higher than that since I at least have 8GB RAM and 2 cores... or not.)

EDIT: Never mind. Although I still need to know what number to put for emulator speed default now that it's running 600% or more.

King N: Like WP said, they are Method 1. You basically just have to hit your seed and do your advancements.

But I also have a question about Kanto/Hoenn starters in HGSS. When are the IVs/PID set? When you choose the starter, or when? And would you just save before you talk to Oak/Steven and then hit your seed and do frame advancements?
Yeah. You hit your seed, and then start advancing frames, they all have a starting frame of 1. And use Method 1

Sir anyone please help, how do i know if i hit the right delay in the pokemon league I can't use the pokegear phone to verify my delay hit

without roamers and what about the radio thing sir? I want rng for Entie but i don't have any idea how to verify the delay because the phone is unusable inside the pokemon league please help
Okay, you want Entei. Are Raikou and Lati@s still alive? If so you can confirm your seed by using the Map to see on which route the roamers are. If not, you have to use the Radio with the RadioSeed program. I haven't done it with the radio myself before, but it seems pretty easy once you understand the workings of the program.

no roamers around i just want to rng for raikou they are all fainted and i already caught raikou

Download RadioSeed in the first post, and pick a time thats in between 9:00pm and 11:00 pm. Use either Pokemon Search Party or Serial Radio Drama to confirm your delay(dependent on the time, check the second post for the listings).

ah I see, what if I'm trying to rng for a Lugia? phone and radio doen't work what should I Use to verify if I hit my target delay

You have to save outside that room. Just advance to 1 frame before your target frame, just as usual, and then enter the room, and surf to Lugia.

Again sir? what do you mean by "Just advance to 1 frame before your target frame"
Well when we normally RNG abuse in 4th gen, and our target frame is 442 for instance, then we advance the frame to 441 and then talk to the Pokémon.

Okay so I've tried downloading RNG Reporter, and I think I only downloaded part of it. When I open it up, I don't see a "Capture" Tab or any tab for that matter.

In the upper Part of the screen, I say "RNG Reporter 9.81 BETA". I can find my DS' Parameters and everything, but there aren't any tabs, which, based on bearsfan's videos, are pretty important.

Help?

It's called time finder, right under the seed input box. Right above the generate button.

Thanks.

And I will I have to set my parameters EVERY time I open and close RNG Reporter?

Edit: So I found my Parameters, but when I hit "generate", I don't get any results at all...What gives?

I'm wondering if anyone would be kind enough to go through what I'm doing and find where I'm making a mistake. I've included exactly what I've done, so hopefully someone experienced can spot something. I've been at this for about 2 days and apparently can't hit my seed to save my life. Because I've included my entire process, I've organized and hid the steps into sections just so this post doesn't look so massive.

I believe my error is being made in the "PikaTimer and Elm Call" section. Feel free to start there and then look at anything else you need.

Calibration Section
First, let me say that I'm playing HeartGold and using a DSi. No AR or anything of the sort.

o1. I'm pressing "OK" on the touch screen to synch my DSi's clock with my MacBook's clock.
o2. I'm starting up my game. I've saved on my bike on Mt. Silver at the area after Rock Climbing immediately after entering Mt. Silver.
o3. I'm soft-resetting at the start of a new minute and, because I'm not using AR, False Swiping + Ultra Ball/Dusk Balling the first Pokemon I encounter. This capture process takes anywhere from 60 - 90 seconds on average, if it matters. I'm getting levels 48-51.
o4. I'm then taking the date, hour, and minute in which I performed the soft-reset and entering this into RNG Reporter's "Seed Finder" with the "Find Seed by Stats" tab. Using this, rarely I get more then one possible seed or an error. If either of these occur, I just ignore that one and soft-reset. I've done this (for like the 7th time) just for this post and my results are below.
o5. Based on from what's I've read and been told (from here and other guides), my calibrated seconds should be 12 and my calibrated delay should be 485, as these are the most common occurring values. From this point on, I pretty much follow bearsfan092's guide video here.

o6. Although my eventual goal is to be able to breed Flawless Eggs, for now I'm just trying to capture Flawless Pokemon. Although I haven't looked into breeding Flawless Eggs much, from what I have looked into I understand I'll need a Flawless Ditto. So right now, I'm just trying to catch a Flawless anything at Mt. Silver so I can easily check it's IVs to see if it is indeed flawless. Using JavaRNG Version 2.10, this is what I'm putting in. Below are my results.

o7. Based on what bearsfan092 says, my best results are the two that have Frame: 27, Seeds #fb100958 and #7b100958. I'm going to start with the first one. I open RNG Reporter and go to Seed to Time and this is ultimately what I get based on the suggestion of bearsfan092. However, I'm expanding my delay range from +/- 20 to +/- 50. Why? Because the past few times I've done this, I've been hitting seeds that are usually 40-50 delay's above my desired delay. This is what I'm seeing.

PikaTimer and Elm Calls
o8. Next, I'm opening PikaTimer 2.0.2 and filling it out and getting this.
o9. This is where I think the mistake is being made. Based on what I saw on the Seed to Time screen, I'm setting my DSi's date to 05/29/2011. I'm also setting my DSi's clock to 16:55, because PikaTimer is telling me to set it for a minute before. I'm then tapping "OK" on my DSi and clicking "Start" on PikaTimer at the same time. These are the only things being synchronized at this time.
1o. Now that that timer is going, I'm starting up my HG game and then soft-resetting when PikaTimer gets to 0.00, the moment the last "beep" is made. If anyhting, I'm getting it slightly early. Maybe 0.2X or 0.1X, but no sooner.
11. Now I'm hurrying through the menu's and getting to when I just have to hit A to start the game and continue. Again, I'm waiting until 0.00 to hit A. Again, this could be anywhere as early as 0.2X, depending on my reaction time.
12. Still following bearsfan092, I'm going to make Prof. Elm calls in order to see if I hit my seed. I've made all have the prerequisites for the roamers, Kanto, PokeRus, and Togepi. According to RNG Reporter, I should be getting E,P,K,K,E,P,P,P,P,P,P,K. I'm calling and getting: K,K,K,E,E,P,P,K,K. Since this isn't correct, I'm using RNG Reporter's Search Elm function and entering what I got in and getting that no calls match what I'm getting. From my understanding, this means my delay was beyond +/- 50 of the desired delay, which is ridiculous.

I've repeated the process multiple times, sometimes just from the synching of PikaTimer to get new calls, sometimes from square one. Last night I was able to get a Delay that was +4 away from my desired delay, but that was with a calibrated seconds of 14. A guide for calibrating online said that I should be putting my DS's clock 1 minute ahead of of the actual clock, and then putting the actual clock's time into RNG Reporter when calibrating. Other guides, however, have said to match the DSi and external clock, and I've been doing that since.

I have tried changing my calibrated delay, my calibrated seconds (including trying 14 again) as well as other seeds. I've changed just about everything I can change and so far today I've only gotten a matched call once: +48 from my desired delay. I then updated PikaTimer and then couldn't match a call after that.

I've read just about every guide I can get my hands on and I can't seem to find where I'm going wrong.

I've read just about every guide I can get my hands on and I can't seem to find where I'm going wrong.

Okay lets start with that calibrating is no longer really necessary to RNG since Timers can control it and the majority people hit somewhere near these settings:

Calibrated Seconds:14
Calibrated Delay:480

Next since the delay is so high, change the +/- to 99.

Now just using what you gave me I found that you hit 2301 as your delay, which is 80 lower than normal. So using PikaTimer put 2301 in the other delay and hit update. Attempt to hit the new times, and search the elm calls. Continue to update the timer until you are within 2 of the delay(2379-2383). Once you are in that range it means that you are around what your calibrated delay is. Remember just keep at it, sometimes it takes a while to hit your delay, but once you get good at it you can usually hit it within 10 minutes of starting.

@Zoap: I did see the post on the first page that the calibration wasn't entirely necessary and that those numbers were recommended by the calibrated seconds didn't really jive with what I was getting so I kept at 12/13 for the seconds thinking that my personal results would be more accurate.

But alright - I was afraid I was doing something wrong. If it's just a matter of adjusting my range and going at it for a few times, then that's a relief.

So, out of curiosity, after I do start hitting within +/-2 of my desired delay, by what measure should I be adjusting the calibrated delay so future attempts are more accurate earlier? Or is it just a "practice makes perfect" kind of deal?

If I'm hitting as far off as 80, I'll be practicing for awhile, apparently... D:

12 to 13 seconds isn't abnormal for soft resetting(I hard reset so 14 is closer for me). The reason 14 is recommended as because when you calibrate you tend to be mashing. So stick with 14 and give those fingers a break.
Well, once your in the +/- 2 range that is usually where your norm(calibrated) delay lies. For me I wasn't 100% confident and started at 480 for a good 3 months before realizing that 80% of the time I hit 486 as my norm.

A lot of things can change what your calibrated delay is, I tend to be really slow on less sleep or when I first start, it's a practice makes perfect kind of deal.
