My Pokemon Ranch: What do we know?

So far on day 2, I was pleased to see there was an expansion of up to 50 pokemon allowed, including the ones that Hayley added. The part I did not understand at first was on the wanted list were 3 pokemon. I brought up one of them on my pearl game and it was still on the wanted list, but then I brought up the other on my diamond game and surely I fulfilled a wanted pokemon since it was the game that was first used for the fulfillment. So it appears I must use my diamond game to transfer when doing the fulfillment requests. If I understand correctly, I should be able to transfer about 40+ pokemon tomorrow as I'm starting to go through my shiny boxes on my diamond version.

I've had wanted Pokemon appear multiple times, even ones currently in the park. Withdrawing and re-depositing fulfilled them. Also, of note: if you just desposit the three wanted Pokemon, you can exit, fulfill those three (or two, or one) and keep getting replacements, so long as there is room to deposit them.

I just have to say that the game itself is annoying to get started, but the extra space is amazing. I've put my 20 in for today and am just waiting to dump some more onto it tomorrow.

Gigafrost: How long does it take to delete the most recent save file and SR for another Mew?
Took me something like 50 minutes to an hour. The problem is that you have to connect the DS so many times, listen to Yukari talk so many times, etc etc etc.

Wish I had timed this morning how long it took to get all 1000 pokemon out of the ranch. The 50 minutes time above *might* not include that info. (Could have been 20 minutes or less to withdraw them all, perhaps?)

hmm, so you can actually get multiple mews then. it may be worth it at one point or another, but then you have to reset the date every time as well, right?

You used the Deposit All / Withdraw All commands, yes...?

I've got a question - is the mew downloaded via Mystery gift and receipt by the postman?

I'll be SRing for so many mews, it won't even be funny.

Here's my question: Hayley asks me for a wanted pokemon and I bring up a flygon. Will I never get that flygon back?

Depends if she wants it for herself, or for the farm. Usually, she won't want it, but she might ask for it in a trade, which you may then refuse.

You probably don't need to reset the date, just continue to push it forward by a day each time. When I deleted the save game data last night I decided to set the calendar back to the correct date, mostly so that my Wii wouldn't wander too far into the future.

Yes. It would have been very painful if I hadn't.

what would happen if i were to set the date forward continuously to get the ranch upgrades and then reset the date whilst keeping the same file. has anyone tried this?

It says something about "something or other might be affected". No noticable effects.

Okay, I re-did it paying close attention to the time. It took me just under an hour to...

-Start the new game
-Upload All 999 pokemon + Upgrade ranch to level 25
-Upload EGG + Trade for Mew
-Download all 1000 pokemon back into the game cards
-Restore the Date + delete the My Pokemon Ranch save

Also, this Mew turned out nice. :)

Did a speed run on a friend's Wii; he didn't mind me downloading MPR with his points, he just wants a junk Mew in exchange. And the Phione and Mew in this run were poor.

Also, this is what Smogon probably looks like in the Pokemon world:

Yes, those are 999 Koffings.

How nice? :D

I'm hoping someone get's a good mew because one reset per hour is not cool. And lorak won't open his thread anytime this year. :P

I was trying to move some stuff in my boxes and realized I don't have as much room as I though. I think I'm going to cave and get Ranch.
