I got one more teamdump in me, here you go! Some of these builds are troll / experimental so make sure you can distinguish what is actually good or not lol. This will be my final dump before we enter a completely new metagame; whether Tera gets banned or not.

What are the things Rockpon hates? Iron crown and mega Scizor. With this more experimental structure, it aims to provide as much pressure on iron crown as possible, with volt switch raging bolt providing momentum on both, getting in heatran and mega medicham as they start to force progress. Kyurem and tblast moth are annoying but playable thanks to double prio mmedi and a surprise Tera heatran. Tblast ground torn is a cool tech that is meant to help overwhelm iron crown and raging bolt, which this Tornt and even the team itself can struggle with. Dnite is a very tough mu but the team doesn’t give it many chances to come in and safely setup, with rhelm lando and rockpon along with a bulky rbolt being a fine enough countermeasure vs. it along with hp ice heatran.

Very consistent squad imo. Gking Lando offense will never not be good because of all the defensive utility gking provides and always providing safe entry for weavile into grounds is nice, along with toxic to slow down raging bolt. Ep Lando is weird but it helps vs. great tusk which is useful when tusk is so good. To compensate the raging bolt mu, we have Tox gking which is good enough of a rbolt measure. Roar raging bolt mainly helps against ho teams that can overwhelm this team easily, and it does this well with Tera.

This sun is fun to use in friendlies but it’s not rlly suited for tour games. Torkoal is a horrible horrible sun setter but the other members make the best use of it, with rbolt gaining monstrously strong volt switches, great tusk becoming the speed control, and blaziken getting what is basically a nuke into even resisted targets. Msciz provides the backbone against Ival and kyurem and dnite does similar things but against iron moth and Volcarona. Taunt tusk makes the Garg mu slightly more bearable.

I was watching some sm games and I saw this rlly cool maw gterrain that was popular in that gen so I wanted to take a shot at it too. Av Tornt makes pivoting against ival more bearable while also lightening the load heatran has against threats like Tapu lele, Volcarona, and iron moth. Mmaw with Slowbro support is also great, with twave and fsight supporting it well. Ice z tusk is used to snipe mainly Zapdos since that annoys the team greatly but it’s also good to get a cleaner hit on Tornt.

Ngl this team is kinda bad but it works well enough. I wanted to try washer out and it’s not exactly bad but I wouldn’t call it that great either. Anyway, wash pivots on stuff like tusk and toxic Gliscor / Lando as well as being a secondary water resist vs. rain which is good considering the double ground structure. It also pivots nicely due to its stabs and willo threatening basically every volt switch in. Av lele is the main breaker, trading with ival / rbolt. Besides that I have no other comment other than that double ground structures have a ton of potential in the meta atm.

Some lop BO because I hadn’t used lop in a while and I wanted to gain a solid opinion on it. Double Prio is good in this meta when stuff like iron moth and booster ival are everywhere but losing u turn means you gotta play somewhat aggressive with the breaking tools you do have. Fog molt kinda sucks but you kinda need it here unfortunately. Garchomp is the resident fire resist against iron moth / Volcarona while also being a wincon and providing rocks. Other than that it’s just pretty standard; you can’t play passively with this team though or else you’ll lose momentum. Try and use chomp / weavile to break holes mid and early game and use lop to clean once it’s checks have been taken care of.

I wanted to use sd Gliscor and on this team it fits perfectly. Imo sd Gliscor is really underrated and not many Bo / fat teams are packing reliable checks against it besides the occasional dondozo and Skarmory / id corv. This is helpful because bo is becoming more viable in the meta. Besides that it’s pretty standard stuff, although it is worth noting that this team takes inspiration from the teams mentioned earlier in this post.

I got the idea of Tera dragon scale shot kyurem by Sealoo. The idea of the team is that iron moth and Tapu Koko both help to overwhelm heatran and iron crown with volt switches and fiery dances so kyurem can win; the aim to weaken steels is furthered by taunt Lando and spikes ferro, which makes pulling off the kyurem strat pretty feasible. Another cool thing about the kyurem set is that it frees up iron moth to abuse Tera which is nice.

Sd Gliscor + u turn lop is a classic and tried and true core. It’s a pretty standard hazard stack structure, with hazard stacking basically being the main way you force defogs; against great tusk, that isn’t an issue because king moltres cooks that. Besides that, av hsam is a cool tech I stole from Hidin and it makes stuff like yard, moth, and Volcarona easier to play around.

I was looking through smogon tour replays for Inspiration and saw a fat team that looked perfect to adapt into a nd setting. This team also did solidly in test games and even won a tour game when I passed it to someone, against a horrible mu nonetheless. ChansBro is a classic core that’s adapt to most Bo mus given you don’t let chansey get overwhelmed. Knock Scizor is an amazing wincon for fat since it forces progress in basically all the (few) mus sd Gliscor can’t; and that leads me into the other point that sd Gliscor is another great mon on these teams since it forces progress really well. Just don’t load into grassy seed hatterene and Tera poison poison jab haxorus and you should be fine.

Looking through some MORE SM teams I found something that piqued my interest; a lele chansey pex core that seemed to be a consistent bo core to build around. CM lele is the desired wincon, shredding fat teams to pieces along with teams that try to use something like msciz or ferro as the lele check. Scarf meow is the featured speed control, doing solidly against offense, psychic type pivots, speed boosting sweepers like dragonite and iron valiant, and providing useful tools like knock off and u turn.

I wanted to build an aggressive offense since I wanted to get in the habit of making aggressive and out-there plays when needed, and that will be a trend with my offenses from now on until I get the hang of that. Anyway, there’s not really anything to note here; the iron moth / lele / waterpon core smashes through most bos while also providing speed control to fight against ho builds. U turn knock ogerpon rounds out the team as a solid breaker while also giving pivoting abilities and knock off.

Primarina is cool, and the meta after NDPL favors it a ton. It checks urshifu, hsam, garg behind sub, weavile, dragonite, and certain variants of kyurem. Besides that there is nothing really to note. Tera fire iron moth does get some funny kills tho if you can get the fiery dance boosts.

Wanted to try out tinkaton and it’s a pretty solid mon imo. It checks lele and gives a better mu into kyurem than most steels, and encore means Garg and other defensive Pokemon are annoyed greatly. Taunt ogerpon makes sure things like pex and mola (and fat things in general) die so mlop ends up winning.

Another attempt at trying to make washtom work, this time using specs Val as a partner to take advantage of things like subroost kyu and Ferro coming in on wash. It also checks boots dnite and tusk which is nice.

This team is trolling but it’s pretty funny. I think I saw someone building gseed reun in ssnd so I wanted to try it here. If you position right it can actually do something vs. offense which is cool; it also provides a countermeasure vs. mmedi too, further reinforced by the grassy seed.

This originally was a standard zap offense but I changed it to be more anti-ho with the mold breaker tinkaton and encore ogerpon. Encore ogerpon is actually quite annoying vs. ho, and its pivoting abilities give weavile and Tapu lele free turns to break. Tinkaton provides rocks while also being less shaky into kyurem, along with being quite annoying to rbolt.

Dpulse serp is cool because of dnite being everywhere. With mmedi, dnite, and tblast moth, along with heatran being able to overwhelmed easier than ever, this set is pretty viable imo. Besides that it’s just more tusk dnite crown slop offense but this time you get to make doubles with mmedi

Remember what I said about wanting my offenses to be aggressive? Yeah that’s the idea behind this team. This was built with sealoo in mind, because I was playing him in a day and I wanted to pump out an offense that could take care of some ferro / moltres ting lu team with the combo of hsam and kartana. I also wanted to use sd kartana in general because I think it’s cool against scizor builds and the aforementioned ting lu builds. This team needs to be played very aggressively or you will quickly lose, so be careful when using it

lol. I was going to load this vs. sealoo due to his moth / shifu / val usage but when I saw he was loading monocolor I thought loading into a black / white team was very unlikely

I wanted to try and build a skarm fat that was lele-proofed, and while it’s not perfect since lele breaks fat anyway lol it’s still a fine team. Cress is cool on fat because of checking lele and mmedi as well as providing a wincon vs. offense. Besides that it’s pretty standard stuff for fat

I was looking at sv teams that were built in SPL and I found this cool looking fat I wanted to remake. It uses hydrap over Zama as the Waterpon check and it works well. Alomomola gives the team some sort of longevity with wishes that help bring ting lu and hydrapple back up to nearly full health, useful on bootspam when you will need the longevity when boots are knocked off and, in the case of ting lu, lose the longevity given by lefties. Weavile is the main wincon, useful against the many iron crown Lando offenses out there.

To round off my teamdump, I will give some heat that I think is pretty cool. Camerupt was a good load against fat or some gking / ferro bo that arty liked to use. Camerupt has some uses over offensive heatran; for one, it can take a hit from ival unlike heatran, and more importantly it has different typing, allowing it to check iron crown and block volt switches from Pokémon like zapdos, Tapu Koko, iron crown, and raging bolt. It’s a Pokemon I think actually has some potential since it actually did some work in test games and in the game I used it in against arty. Besides that, it’s pretty standard gterrain. Volt switch rbolt is cool to bait in things like ferro, iron crown, and gking so mcam can come in and start cooking the opposing team.
Well that’s it. I think these last few months I’ve improved a TON, like I’m not even kidding I feel like a much better player than I was during like August or September. I know I said I was going to take a break after last chance / NDFL but after watching my builds / play (and learning from it and understanding where I’ve gone wrong from them) I think I have more motivation to play mons which is nice. Shoutouts to those who supported me, you know who you are. Cya’ll later
