hello ladies and gentlemen! today we got our results from this week ccat core which is ashbala m-gyara + tapu fini water core.
i apologize it took more than it should i actually forgot it was saturday and not sunday but heres the team https://pokepast.es/55e2a584d4e92baa

the team job is to use slowbro teleport and future sight utility as much as possible. future sight can hit poison well but also with some strategy you can force switch ins and kill the most annoying mons of the team unless they sacc something infront of specs keldeo which will result in a kill anyways.
teleport can also go into gyara and start the setup if its a good situation.

swampert is the electric immunity which can setup rocks, roar some annoying setup mons like calm mind or substitute and flip turn for pressure

keldeo is basically our hard hitter. vs normal for example if we teleport or flip turn and go into keldeo we gonna have a kill everytime as long as we outspeed whats infront of us when you teleport/flip turn and it can do things to mantine, pelipper etc with hp electric

choice scarf tapu fini deals with dragons and fightining pretty much. outspeed most of the things (watch ot for possible scarf latios) and just click moonblast most of the times. it is our hazard control with defog and can also trick stuff like toxapex, ferro and corsola with scarf when needed

gyarados is our mega and setupper for the team. it can come in with teleport/flip turn and drop an intimidate right off the bat and most of the times they are forced to switch which is gonna be our chance to dragon dance pretty much. taunt deals with things like toxic and haze and crunch+earthquake take cares of psychic, steel, ghost and poison if we deal with venusaur beforehand

our last member is greninja. this mon has alot of options and we opted for a z dig set
z dig deals with poison psy immunity so then we can keep click extrasensory and it also deals with heatran/steel mons in general
gunk shot deals with fairies and grass mons. vs fairy we can lead gren and if they lead klefki we can z dig right away because they will most likely light screen on a greninja and then we are free to click gunk shot for the rest of the match
extrasensory is for fighting mons and poison mostly because those are annoying mons to deal with for water
rock slide is for mons like zard-y and volcarona
low kick is for tyranitar and the like

I am suggesting the grass core of Mega Venusaur and Ferro. I know grass has a lot of weaknesses, making it a harder type to use successfully, BUT I think it would be interesting if the community optimized a grass team.

I like this set on M-Venu because hp fire takes care of Scizor, enemy Ferro and some other mons. The combo of leech seed and synthesis keep it healthy. Leech seed also forces out a lot of mons. Sludge bomb is the main stab plus a chance to poison. M-Venu obviously takes on the fire and ice hits for the team with its thick fat. Ferro compliments M-Venu nicely with its ability to take hits from flying and psychic for it. Ferro is the main hazard setter. I use gyro ball to hit unsuspecting fairies. Leech seed and protect for health and to force out mons.
Thank you for your consideration.

Sticky Web Normal

Smeargle

Ability: Own Tempo
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Spore

Even with the nerf of Gluttony, Linoone is a force to be reckoned with, especially with Sticky Web support. Smeargle is a great hazard setting suicide lead to set up Linoone and other great offensive threats that Normal has to offer like Porygon Z, Meloetta, Lopunny, Diggersby and more.

Here's my proposed core:

Aerodactyl-Mega @ Aerodactylite
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Stone Edge
- Dual Wingbeat
- Earthquake

Nihilego @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sludge Wave
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunderbolt
- Grass Knot

I've been critical of Mega Aerodactyl often, but it does also have some monstrous attacking stats with Tough Claws boosted STAB and Dragon Dance, and against vulnerable mons, it can D-Dance its way to absolute victory. Like seriously, Jolly at +1 outspeeds Exca in sand and kills it outright with EQ, which is nutty (even if Hippo sits on it). It still struggles with some physical threats, so I decided to add a special attacker that's good for breaking those hard to reach walls in those hard to reach places: Nihilego. Nihilego covers a lot of the threats that Mega Aero has a hard time breaking with its good coverage and offensive stats, and scarf is mainly there for speed control.

:SS/Doublade: :SS/Aegislash:
Ghost Blades (pokepast.es)
These are probably not the best sets for them but lets roll with it, Doublade is basically always bulky to sustain damage while also dealing damage or setting up to potentially knock out more than it is supposed to, and aegislash paired with weakness policy is a good combo to sweep because of its stance changing, it can switch to either a more offensive mode and defensive mode, overall I feel like they would be a good pair as one is more offensive than the other while one is more defensive than the other in a sense.

I wanna suggest a Flying Offensive Core of M.Aero and Torn-T

Tornadus-Therian (M) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 88 HP / 172 SpA / 8 SpD / 240 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot / Taunt
- Hurricane
- U-turn
- Heat Wave / Focus Blast
Aerodactyl-Mega @ Aerodactylite
Ability: Unnerve
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Dual Wingbeat
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

Mega Aerodactyl is a very cool mon gifted with Dragon Dance this generation, which allows it to outpace literally everything viable but Ditto after a Dragon Dance. However, it is hindered by physical walls such as Slowbro, Porygon 2, Celesteela, and Ferrothorn, so the other Parrot, Tornadus-T, helps by shutting down these walls with Taunt, or by boosting up and sweeping with its 70% accuracy Hurricanes :psysly: . U-Turn might seem odd for a setup sweeper, but it's there since Tornadus-T usually forces switches, so the move allows Mega Aerodactyl or its other team mates to take advantage of these switches. Tornadus-T has less Speed EVs to underspeed the other Tornadus-T if it comes to it (But still allows it to out speed Cinderace), and the extra bulk allows it to live a Choice Scarf Ice Beam from Protean Greninja and OHKO it back with Focus Blast.
252 SpA Protean Greninja Ice Beam vs. 88 HP / 8 SpD Tornadus-Therian: 270-320 (84.1 - 99.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
172 SpA Tornadus-Therian Focus Blast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Greninja: 290-342 (101.7 - 120%) -- guaranteed OHKO

The problem with this team is the accuracy of the moves this core has, and the lack of any defensive capabilities they have. This core also currently lacks Defog and Hazards, soo....

CCAT Submission (pokepast.es)

Two Steely boys known for giving the hands to everyone, I wanted to build a team around these too for some time.
Melmetal is a unique Pokémon type-locked to steel, and seems to be overshadowed for other bulky tanks and physical attackers. With it's unique STAB in Double Iron bash along with the Iron fist ability, Melmatal is a offensive presence to behold, and it's immense bulk allows it to be in much more of a supportive role on teams, switching into weaker moves and offensively pressuring unprepared Monotypes.
This Mega Scizor set is one I've pulled from the depths of SM Monotype, Bulky SD Facade with roost. As both Mega Scizor and Melmetal are very suseptable to status, primarily burns, this set turns the unfortunate scenario into a unprecedented offense, able to punish Status fishers such as Toxapex, Discharge Porygon2, and Gastrodon. I think together these two, with proper support, can create a somewhat oppressive physical beater core with Melmetal's raw strength and Scizor's setup potential.

Latias-Mega (F) @ Latiasite
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Psyshock / Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam / Thunderbolt
- Roost
Kommo-o @ Kommonium Z
Ability: Soundproof
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Clanging Scales
- Drain Punch
- Flamethrower
- Taunt

Double Setup sweepers Dragon is something that might be fun. Mega Latias is incredibly bulky, and can slowly commence a sweep by accumulating Calm Mind boost against enemies that do not do much against it. It also helps that most coverage Latias is weak to is special- so you could probably setup on weak, non-stab users of Ice Beam, Dark Pulse, etc. Ice beam is used so that you can immediately threaten dragons like Garchomp, while also having an option that lets you be immediately threatening in Flying and Ground matchups. Psyshock or Thunderbolt gives Latias options against hazers like Mantine and Toxapex. Psyshock can hit Galarian Slowking and allows you to OHKO M.Lop (Fake Out+Triple Axel doesnt kill), while Thunderbolt allows Latias to go wild in Flying matchups. However, this set is walled by Tyranitar and literally every Steel-type to exist so we have the op clanger, Kommo-o, which can solo Normal, Steel, and sometimes Dark matchups. Soundproof is used so we dont accidentally get swept by Ditto, as we do not have Mega Altaria in this build. A bane in Defense is picked over Special Defense so that we arent murdered by Gren, but if SpDef bane is better, then feel free to change it.

Problems include not having a fairy-type and not having Latias as speed control.

DOGZILLA CORE
Houndoom can be really useful in checking fairy threats wich can be really scary for Dark thanks to Sludge bomb and its fire coverage (Fire Blast can be used instead of Flamethrower for a better BP but i prefer the accuracy Flamethrower provides). Nasty Plot is useful to capitalize on forced switches to sweep properly. EV are pretty standard, nature is set to capitalize on Houndoom's really good speed tier, notably outspeeding the majority of unboosted mons. Tyranitar pairs well with Houndoom thanks to its ability to set rocks and slow scarfed/ boosted threats to help Houndoom sweep; it also hase an awesome special bulk. Rock Slide and Heavy Slam help the coverage, however Fire Blast can be used instead of Heavy Slam to help vs Skarmory, Ferrothorn and such (thus being quite unexpected with another fire mon in the team). The core itself is quite flexible and can be adapted for balanced or offensive outcomes.
:blobthumbsup:You can even go Sableye Prankster Sunny Day plus Weather ball Umbreon

Incineroar @ Heavy-Duty Boots

EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Fake Out
- Knock Off
- Toxic
- Parting Shot / U-turn

Mandibuzz (F) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Defog
- Foul Play
- Roost
- U-turn

I am suggesting a Dark defensive core. This Incineroar is really neat because-
1. It's spdef. Incineroar is already slow, so no need to dump stats in speed. All go to hp and spdef.
2. You can use its ability, intimidate, to lower the attack stat of a physical attacker
3. Steel mons are less likely to come in because of its fire typing, letting it spread toxic with ease
4. Knock off is a great spammable stab
5. Parting shot can help with pivoting other mons in.
6. Fake Out allows Incineroar to go first, provides chip damage, AND act as a focus sash breaker

Mandi is your go to def mon and defogger. Rocky helmet provides some chip damage. Foul play destroys Scizor and other boost reliant mons. Roost to keep it healthy. U-turn for pivoting.

Thank you for your consideration.

:hippowdon: + :garchomp:

Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Earthquake
- Slack Off
- Whirlwind
- Toxic

Garchomp @ Rockium Z
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

That's right folks, this is probably the most common core on the planet for ground teams... right? Well, if you look at the importable a second time, you will probably spot something different.

Hippowdon actually becomes useful lmao. Rockium Garchomp is a SM OU set that really pressures out lots of foggers in the current meta, making it a nice entry hazard setter over it and freeing a slot for Hippo to be less passive.
