Alright. Here are my real picks:

Blazers in 7
Mavs in 6
Nuggets in 7

Lakers in 5

Cavs in 7
Magic in 5

Magic in 6

Finals: Lakers over Magic in 5.

italicized are upsets.

Hmmm so The bulls beat the celtics at home. Guess the celtics can't rely on home court like last year. Allen starts out cold in the playoffs again going 1 for 11 in field goals and 0 for 6 from downtown

And Rose goes berserk in his first ever playoff game tying the record with Kareem for most points in first game of career in the playoffs.

Great showing from Rose, but he won't be that consistent throughout the series. Allen is bound to show up eventually.

Im surprised with Ray, he needed to show up, but 1-12 is not gonna cut it. Glen Davis looked great out there in KG's spot though.

Celtics will probably still take the championship. They started like this last year vs the Hawks and they were worse than the Bulls of this year.

The fact that it was this close- 105-103, while Allen only makes one shot shows how good the Celtics still can be if they are on top of their game.

A big for the Celtics in the first two rounds was home-court advantage; they didn't lose a single game at home nor did they win a single game on the road until the conference finals. With the Bulls' win today, the Celtics can no longer rely on home court to get them through. I stick by my Bulls in 7 prediction.

edit: This Bulls team is also a lot better than the Hawks of last year and this Celtics team is significantly worse than the Celtics of last year.

Championship? Seriously? I can understand saying they'll beat the Bulls, but they probably won't beat the Magic and hell will freeze before they beat a Cleveland team that took them to the final moments of Game 7 and is much better than back then, while the Celtics are much worse without Garnett.

And while you can point out that Allen played like shit, I can point that Rondo is not going to score 30 points a game on a consistent basis, nor will Perkins score 14.

What a game vs Dallas, nice comeback and all. Im holding to my theory that whomever wins game one has the series. Whats disheartening is that the 4th quarter was played mostly without J-ho and Kidd. Im still pulling for the Spurs, there my team.

Wow mavs beat the spurs at home. Darkie must be pretty happy
It looks like the rockets will beat the blazers if they keep it up but there's still 3 quarters.
Gives me hope that the Hornets will knock out the nuggets. C'mon Chandler get healthy NOW

I'm pretty happy with todays games thus far and we still have houston/portland to go.

I don't think the Celtics winning the East is a huge stretch at all. It's not even a huge stretch to say they could beat anyone except for the Lakers. I think they can beat Orlando, a team that relies on the 3 and has a propensity to lose big games, without Kevin Garnett and Cleveland does not have much talent outside of LeBron, so they have a shot there too. I don't think Boston will win at Cleveland though.

Houston is looking great right now. Portland can't stop Yao Ming, and that's going to kill them.

....Oh, that was beautiful. Simply a beautiful, perfect, and sublime beatdown of the Blazers.

@y2k: Cleveland does have more talent than last year, and they took it really close to a Celtics team with Garnett.

Honestly the Celtics of last year didn't really show their true selves until they faced the Lakers.

The Lakers were considered favorites by a bit IIRC because of the Celtics struggles against even the Hawks. But what do they do? They play harder defense they play harder BBall in general and they rip the Lakers apart. The only reason I would say the Celtics CAN'T make it to the finals is because Paul Pierce is playing like garbage compared to last year.

GG Houston Rockets! Yao sorta scares me, hopefully he's feeling well. Glad they didn't need him much in the second half.

lol but um...the celtics had KEVIN GARNETT last year. do you know how much of a difference that is...it makes people wonder if you know anything about basketball or if you're just spewing out random things as a homer...

I know MoP. For some reason I just left that out >_<. I think my sentences are considered as without him.....shit I dunno.

EDIT: Naming yourself after a Biggie song is not okay.
