blueprint 3 is bad

happened upon this gem the other day, an anxious object by mouse on the keys:

mok.jpg

some really interesting jazz-inspired piano playing with dynamic drumming underneath. all instrumental. i enjoyed it a bunch.

I love Hospice, I can't stop listening to it, definitely an end of the year classic.

Wild-Beasts-Two-Dancers.jpg

Wild Beasts - Two Dancers was given the stamp of Best New Music by Pitchfork, I have yet to hear it but I have downloaded it, I hope it was worth it :)

Insane Clown Posse's Bang! Pow! Boom! is great.

Twiztid's "W.I.C.K.E.D." is also great..

Awaiting Boondox's new album as well as Blaze Ya Dead Homie's new album..

Any thoughts from anyone on the new Arctic Monkeys' album? I listened through a few times and so far am unimpressed.

First listen through new Muse now. Liking it so far.

I've been listening to Joy by Phish for the last three days non-stop. It's an awesome return from their 4-year hiatus. I was a bit surprised at how much more studio-ish this album was than some of their previous releases, but in a good way. Even though their unstructured jams are what've made them what they are, it's nice to hear just a bit more organization this time around.

The Blueprint 3 is OK, definetly his best album since his "retirement" though. Empire State of Mind is stuck in my head.

Only Built For Cuban Linx 2 was a pretty good album too and I'm sad it didn't get much attention, seeing as its the sequel to the 2nd best Wu-Tang album ever. Definetly a bad choice realeasing in the same week as The Blueprint 3 though.

Now I gotta wait for December when Lupe's next album comes out.

Pearl Jam uploaded their new album Backspacer to their MySpace page yesterday. The album is pretty damn good if I do say and it is much better than I was expecting it to be.

ooh deschain another cold cave fan (L)_(L)

the new album is ok but the trees grew emotions and died is their best work by far

i must say i've just become acquainted with the project, so i've not heard that EP.

honestly i wish the chick sang more/all the time. Wesely's voice grates after awhile. Dx

Billy Talent III by Billy Talent and Life Starts Now by Three Days Grace are surprisingly good. I generally don't like their heavier songs, but they really put a lot into their albums this time around. 4/5 for BT3 and 5/5 for TDG's album.

The Decemberists - The Hazards of Love

Dude I love this album it's so beautiful and disturbing at the same time I don't know how they pull it off it is awesome live. (digging the avatar btw)

Hospice is amazing one of the best albums of the year. I recommend Wilco's new album for those into the whole indie music scene. Everything else has been said already.

deschain, common existence is really a grower, i wasnt impressed at first but i listened a few times over and now i love it. also if you liked the Earth alchemy index then you will probably like beggars, it has a similar tone

Three Days Grace

oh shit, this is out? I was under the impression it wouldn't be out until early next year or something
*gets*

and deschain I have similar thoughts about Ursa Major
It's 3eb so I have to love it but it's so subpar compared to everything else they've written

Any thoughts from anyone on the new Arctic Monkeys' album? I listened through a few times and so far am unimpressed.

I quite enjoyed it, actually!

Guess I'll jump on the bandwagon and say I really liked La Roux's debut album. Armour Love and As If By Magic are the only major faults lol.

Hm, I can't think of anything else that hasn't already been mentioned. Lady Gaga will be releasing The Fame Monster in mid-November. It's just a re-release of her debut album (The Fame) which was released a year ago. Could have done with a new album because she's only adding 4 new tracks (plus 4 acoustic tracks) but some new material will hold me over until she releases her sophomore album.

This isn't 2009, but Vampire Weekend is going to finally release a follow-up album in early 2010. :D Can't wait!

I just bought Pearl Jam's new album and I can tell that it will take me a while to like it...but in the end I'm pretty sure that I'll like it.

I'm definitely going to get Three Day's Grace's new album when I get my next paycheck, but I might just wait till my birthday as I'm getting the new iPod nano (I currently only have enough room for half of my my music on my iPod =\ ), so then I'd have enough space for everything :D.

I was pretty disappointed by the majority of this.. I should not have listened to that much indie probably. There were some good albums out there, though.

how has nobody mentioned Porcupine Tree's new album The Incident yet?!?

i just saw them in concert last night and they were pretty fucking epic. i got the new album a few hours ago and it hasn't dissappointed me yet
