New Skuntank set

This is a set that I've created as an alternate way to break down premier walls such as Blissey, Dusknoir, and Cresselia.

Here below is the set and calculations that I have made in order to provide a basis for discussion.

Looks nice, but have you ever tried it on Shoddy or something? Because it looks like Azelf would just blast you into next week, Cresselia, Dusknoir, etc. But all in all, it's a very innovative set, makes me wanna breed my own Stunky.

Azelf only beats this if I switch him into it. Any other time, it has to explode as it gets OHKOd by Pursuit if it tries to U-Turn. But then again, I'll have other counters for Azelf.

Do you mind explaining the switching out after Screech to me?

Would it be:

Opponent switches Pokemon in
Skuntank uses Screech

Opponent switches Pokemon out
Skuntank uses Pursuit

OR

You switch Skuntank in after a Pokemon dies

You use Screech
They do whatever

They switch
You use Pursuit

To be honest, neither of those seems all that likely. I'm guessing that this set relies on the enemy switching in on you, but how likely is it that they'll switch in something that will switch out straight after, giving you two free turns?

Right, right. Very solid new set, Skuntank should be getting more use from this.

Oh, do you have calculations for when Skuntank takes hits from other Pokemon?

I've added calcs for attacks used against Skuntank. I can switch Skuntank in and set up on everyone else besides Azelf and Tyranitar.

No, Skuntank won't survive EQ for Adamant 252 Atk CBTar.
Defender HP: 404
Damage: 424 - 499
Damage: 104.95% - 123.51%

What about an EQ? Would this set survive that?

Its not meant to go around taking hits. Its meant to smash walls nice and hard. Its not nailing any EQ using sweepers really hard with Pursuit and Rock Smashers.

BTW, TBH, while this set might sound very interesting etc., a person could just switch Blissey out on the turn you Sub to that Dark resist they have to take on TTar, break your sub and keep hitting you while you hope to get a haxy def down with Rock Smash.Even then you'll be hitting them with a base 60 attack max if they don't switch. Hippowdon, Tangrowth etc aren't going to be afraid of Skuntank and will put it out of comission soon enough. Though its pretty nice TBH.

Thats true, but most Blissey will try to T-Wave as you sub down. Even if they switch, they'll be hit with a Screech while I'm behind a sub.

Really cool idea.
With aftermath as well, they'll be hurting if they kill him.
Not that you just want to sacrifice him.

You don't know if you'll be switching into a T-Wave, but there are ways around that. You could send in one pokemon to take the T-Wave, then send in Skuntank to take whatever attack that Blissey has.

Well alright but obligatory Tyranitar does it better post.
Higher defenses.. Higher attack.. Also gets 101 subs... And he however gets focus punch as well to nail the switchin if pursuit won't do enough.

um, I would switch out after a screech, do you feel confident in dusknoir's walling ability, when his defence goes from 325 to 162..

..anyways! can t-tar pull this set off like 1 million times better.

Apart from Tyranitar, all your calculations are against Pokemon that are incredibly unlikely to switch into Skuntank. So how will you get a chance to use Screech then Pursuit on them?

How much damage does he do to likely switch-ins in OU? Skarmory, Hippowdon, Gliscor, Gyarados, Garchomp, Metagross, Lucario, Heatran, Machamp, etc.

Sub seems a waste too. You lose 101+ HP to stop Blissey paralyzing you. If you Taunt and she tries Thunder Wave you lose 0 HP, if she uses Seismic Toss you only lose 100. At least with Taunt you're stopping Garchomp, Gyarados, Lucario, etc. setting up after they come in and you run.

That's why you switch Skuntank into any of them besides the ones you mentioned, Azelf and T-Tar. I'll run calcs on those pokemon and post them when I'm finished with them.
