Please, staff, I am begging you to restore social groups :((
There was a lot of important collaborations and distinct fun to be had there, so please please restore them, or tell me if they're never coming back so I can start rebuilding two years of compiling and collaborations and much more...
As for the forum experience, maybe I'm just in deep shock atm, but its not as great as before of course. Just getting used to it, and I'll have more to say later when I've taken the time to re-learn. This is all so overwhelming at first...
So please update me on the social group situation, I'd be forever grateful if they were restored. Please.

People did things in the social groups for real? I thought they where always kind of a joke.
I had not even noticed the like feature up until you pointed it out, but I absolutely hate it. This facebook trend of having ONLY a like button, no dislike button always annoys me. There should be at the very least a 5 star rating system.
Everything seems so white. I tried looking under preferences to see if I could make it darker, but I didn't find anything. Good to see the forums are back though. I don't really post much, but I lurk a lot in certain threads.
Didn't you know? Social Groups were the real power behind Smogon. Everything was controlled by them. The server being hacked was actually a cover up for the coup that happened.
But yeah, I agree that only having a like button with no dislike button is annoying. It can give the wrong impression when people are debating (well, this is Smogon, so really it's more arguing) something.
Edit: Also, we couldn't accidentally double post back on the old forum.

Social groups made it a lot easier for people to particpate and get to know each other. The forums can be pretty intimidating, with people getting on you if you post in a wrong place or telling you your ideas are not good and stuff.

Groups were shit.
Social groups for the most part were useless crap. However, it was often entertaining useless crap, so it'd be nice to have them back.
Hate the edit disappear.
More often than not I found them to be dead/inactive, personally. The fact that they're missed comes as a shock to me as well. Maybe some of the private ones were used more often, or I wasn't looking hard enough...
i 'miss' them but never really used them, which i would gamble to say is how most of the forum feels
The whole social group thing also comes personally as a shock to me. If anything, most users on Smogon wouldn't miss it, and Smogon could employ another method of...er, socializing? I mean, really, it's a very very rare occurrence when I connect with somebody else on Smogon on a personal level. While such a thought is impractical, I'd welcome the possibility.
