You don’t hit steel types with this set which sucks a little, but that’s fine because you do basically jack shit to the fat ones anyways. Anyways, you set up trick room and then you proceed to hit your opponent with rock circles and pixie circles until you feel the urge to explode. Or you click trick room and then explode. Or you just explode. No one will expect it. No one.

This lures most steels and mons with steel type coverage. It eats 1 bullet punch from bulky SD Scizor unboosted and 2hko's back, allowing you to Hp Fire on the switch and kill it before it kills you or SDs in your face. Specs Hydreigon doesnt OHKO it with flash cannon even after rocks and drops to a single moonblast. Coba drops to 2 Earthpowers as long as you dont get flinched, and earthpower's Empoleon. Powergem and Moonblast for Stab.

And in this week we have the face of UU, Scizor! It is a great mon with great standard sets, but we also believe it has room for some innovation. However, such standard sets are banned:

EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe (or something bulkier)
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Knock Off /Bug Bite/ U-turn/ Roost
- Superpower

The deadline is by Friday, have fun!

Agility Scizor

Scizor @ Iron Plate
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Agility
- Bug Bite
- Iron Head
- Knock Off

With this basic offensive spread Scizor reaches 229 Spe points, which are doubled after an Agility (thus reaching 458 points) that is really useful towards HO teams with the added bonus of being bulky.
Keep in mind that Jolly 252 Spe EVs Mega Aerodactyl reaches 438 Spe points. Unluckily, 252 EVs are needed in order to outspeed as many threats as possible before Agility.

Bug Bite is picked over U-turn, because the latter move neuters the utility provided by Agility whereas the former attack can fish some healing Berry.
252+ Atk Technician Scizor Bug Bite vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Latias: 354-416 (97.2 - 114.2%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO
-1 252+ Atk Technician Scizor Bug Bite vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Krookodile: 258-306 (77.9 - 92.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (Superpower is weaker than Technician Bug Bite and doesn't have drawbacks)
Iron head is picked over Bulled Punch for the extra base power and now the flinch chance makes sense.
Knock Off is here for general utility and coverage.

A way to deal properly with Electric and Steel types is recommended; just keep in mind that this Scizor doesn't have the power to OHKO things from full HP unless they are weak to its moves.

Scizor @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Superpower
- Iron Head
- Knock Off / Pursuit

So I have been testing this set out and it definitely has its niche as a revenge killer and racking up chip damage against your opponents squad. With a choice scarf + Jolly nature Scizor is capable of out-speed everything up to Mega Pidgeot meaning you an revenge kill the likes of CM Latias, Terrakion, Cobalion etc. The main downside to this set is the lack of power due to having to run a Jolly nature and lack of Life Orb + Band, thus this set requires a lot of support to chip stuff down via teammates or hazards.

U-turn is necessary for dealing with Pokemon like Latias for example, but also gaining momentum for your team. With choice scarf you get off fast U-turns and constantly chip away at would be Scizor checks. Superpower helps vs opposing steel types like Cobalion, Aggron etc. I personally prefer using Iron Head over Bullet Punch because with a choice scarf you outspeed Terrakion and non-boosted Malt for example and hit them much harder than BP would. You also guarantee OHKO M-Aero with Iron head and eat any attack it goes for. It also makes up for the lack of raw power this set has, but BP is still a viable enough option.
Pursuit and Knock Off in the last slot both have their merits. Pursuit lets you trap Latias, Gengar and Chandelure if they choose to swap but if they choose to stay in all three eat the hit comfortably and can proceed to OHKO back depending on coverage. Knock Off is nice in general for removing items from bulkier checks to Scizor: Alomamola, Rotom-H, Cobalion, Gligar etc. while also making up for it's lack of power with more utility. Depends more on what your team needs for the last slot.

252 Atk Scizor U-turn vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Latias: 252-296 (83.4 - 98%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

252 Atk Scizor Iron Head vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Terrakion: 288-338 (88.8 - 104.3%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

252 Atk Scizor Superpower vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Cobalion: 212-250 (65.6 - 77.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 Atk Scizor Iron Head vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Altaria-Mega: 240-284 (82.4 - 97.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 Atk Scizor Iron Head vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Aerodactyl-Mega: 302-356 (100.3 - 118.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Scizor @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Bug Bite
- Thief

yeah so sciz usually relies on knock to hit all its walls that like to hold z-crystals, most notably tenta, which results in a smaller dmg output, so thief is used to hit z-move users and relevant megas like aggron and steelix (provided a lot of chip) bc technician is broken

+2 252+ Atk Life Orb Technician Scizor Thief vs. 248 HP / 156 Def Tentacruel: 322-380 (88.7 - 104.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
+2 252+ Atk Life Orb Scizor Knock Off vs. 248 HP / 156 Def Tentacruel: 233-274 (64.1 - 75.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock (Holding Z)

+2 252+ Atk Life Orb Technician Scizor Thief vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Moltres: 305-360 (95 - 112.1%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO
+2 252+ Atk Life Orb Scizor Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Moltres: 221-261 (68.8 - 81.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (Holding Z)

+2 252+ Atk Life Orb Technician Scizor Thief vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Scizor: 279-330 (99.2 - 117.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
+2 252+ Atk Life Orb Scizor Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Scizor: 203-239 (72.2 - 85%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock (Holding Z)

thief turns the 2hko onto tenta, moltres, and offensive sciz into ohkos, preventing them from retaliating with their attacks/hazing

disclaimer it does come with the downside of not ohkoing empo and not being able to knock eviolites from doub, gligar, etc but its a judgment made based off the team

Scizor has always been a crazy mon and its SD Sets have a lot of options to explore. Liechi berry takes advantage of usually consistent answers such as Swampert, Quagsire, Hippo, etc. and hits them with that grass natural gift. Superpower hits opposing scizor, aggron, etc hard while bullet punch is the mandatory move to make the most out of scizor.

i've taken to av scizor lately mostly because it becomes way more reliable at dealing with lati compared to something like cb scizor (thinking about electrium / hp fire latis in this case) and just overall just becomes a solid sponge for things like hydreigon as well. another cool thing is that you can often exploit the fact that your opponent is likely to think you are locked into a move once you use pursuit which leaves you open to claim something with superpower usually. also you can't be revenged by magneton!

Scizor @ Assault Vest
Ability: Technician
EVs: 232 HP / 252 Atk / 24 Spe
Adamant Nature
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch
- Pursuit
- Superpower

Scizor @ Occa Berry
Ability: Technician
EVs: 180 HP / 204 Atk / 32 SpD / 92 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Knock Off
- Natural Gift

Occa Berry is a good way to deal with Pokemon which want to lure Scizor.
The EV spread may seem kinda strange, it allows some good things.

252 SpA Choice Specs Magneton Thunderbolt vs. 180 HP / 32 SpD Scizor: 241-285 (73.9 - 87.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Choice Specs Magneton Hidden Power Fire vs. 180 HP / 32 SpD Occa Berry Scizor: 214-254 (65.6 - 77.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

+2 204+ Atk Scizor Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Magneton: 234-276 (96.6 - 114%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

252 Atk Cobalion All-Out Pummeling (190 BP) vs. 180 HP / 0 Def Scizor: 241-285 (73.9 - 87.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
+2 204+ Atk Occa Berry Scizor Natural Gift (80 BP Fire) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Cobalion: 298-352 (92.2 - 108.9%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

252 SpA Life Orb Latias Hidden Power Fire vs. 180 HP / 32 SpD Occa Berry Scizor: 177-208 (54.2 - 63.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
+1 252 SpA Life Orb Latias Hidden Power Fire vs. 180 HP / 32 SpD Occa Berry Scizor: 265-312 (81.2 - 95.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 252 SpA Latias Hidden Power Fire vs. 180 HP / 32 SpD Occa Berry Scizor: 204-240 (62.5 - 73.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

204+ Atk Scizor Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Latias: 246-290 (81.4 - 96%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

You can also take a Fire Blast from non-LO/Specs Hydreigon and from max Special Attack Altaria-Mega without Stealth Rock :
252 SpA Hydreigon Fire Blast vs. 180 HP / 32 SpD Occa Berry Scizor: 272-320 (83.4 - 98.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ SpA Altaria-Mega Fire Blast vs. 180 HP / 32 SpD Occa Berry Scizor: 272-320 (83.4 - 98.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

The 92 EV in Speed allow Scizor to outspeed Klefki.

Scizor @ Flyinium Z
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 204 Atk / 52 Def / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Aerial Ace
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- Bullet Punch

This Scizor beats 2 of Scizor's checks: Tentacruel and Cobalion. Aerial Ace gives you access to Flyinium Z, which is what this Scizor is using to break Tentacruel and Cobalion. The Evs allow Scizor to eat 2 Close Combats from Cobalion from full or eats 1 +2 Close Combat from full, allowing you to get to +2, then nuke it. Tenta does around 30% with scald at best (wouldnt recommend staying in on scald unless you have to though but can do a chunk to cruel on the switch. Moltres dies on switch after rocks or dies on switch when Scizor is at +2. 4 speed is to outspeed minspeed Scizor. 52 Defense in conjunction with 248 hp gives Scizor noteable physical bulk, sponging +2 Close Combat from Cobalion from full. The other 204 Evs are poured into attack to make Scizor actually hit things hard.

Edit: Do not try an SD in the face of Moltres and Tentacruel, lest you risk dying or being burnt.

Scizor @ Normalium Z
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower / Knock Off
- Giga Impact

Yay Scizor, the metal bug that rules UU. Basically, normal is really good coverage, cuz its neutral to so many things. Hence, z-giga impact, a nuke that can deal with a lot of scizors checks. BP is mandatory on SD scizor. Last move can be chosen for knock off or superpower depending on if you want to hit steel types, or just neutral good ocverage in knock off. also knock off is just a good af move. So yeah, SD scizor is just too good to pass up tbh.

PS: it could also be bug bite over superpower or knock off but generally i find the other two better.
