Project Next Best Thing: USUM UU (Week 45: Jellicent - Submissions)

reuniclus.gif

Reuniclus @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 188 Def / 8 SpA / 60 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psyshock
- Focus Blast
- Knock Off
- Recover
Knock Off is really nice for punishing a lot of defensive and offensive switches into Reunic to prevent it setting up, such as Hydreigon, Krookodile, Scizor, Blissey and the rare Mandibuzz etc. (Assuming they aren't carrying a Z-move but either way it also gives you intel on the item being held). A lot of teams are reliant on Krook and Hydra as their speed control and can be detrimental losing their item, it also removes Eviolite from any Doublade that check this set as it lacks Shadow Ball. Psyshock over Psychic as the main stab to muscle through Blissey easier. Focus Blast to hit and OHKO most steel types in the tier. Recover is used for longevity. The ev spread lets you guarantee 2OHKO Mega Aggron with Focus Blast with Life Orb and the SpD means you always live a Dark Pulse from Life Orb Hydreigon at full and can OHKO it back with Focus Blast after rocks.

Chesnaught @ Leftovers
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 252 HP / 244 Def / 12 Spe
Impish Nature
- Drain Punch
- Synthesis
- Bulk Up
- Taunt

This set is really interesting as its able to annoy a lot of walls and to set up, making it very hard to kill. The Speed is for Alomomola, which has to burn it otherwise its a 2HKO after recovery. Bulkier teams aren't hard to handle once Amoong/Florges are gone.
It's also a more reliable check to Scizor/Cobalion/Terrak/Heracross as it's able to set up alongside them.

Chesnaught @ Leftovers
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 252 HP / 84 Def / 172 Spe
Impish Nature
- Spikes
- Taunt
- Leech Seed
- Drain Punch

Speedy Seed chesnaught. The speed lets you outspeed one of the more popular defoggers gligar and get up even more spikes. Taunt is a pain for fatter squads, as well as leech seed with their high hp stats. Leech seed is a cool way to recover health back on chesnaught, as Synthesis can be crippled by Sandstream from Hippo and when you aren't running wood hammer it can be rough. Serving as both chip damage and recovery is really handy. This set goes nicely with tentacruel and spike stacking teams in general.

Chesnaught @ Rockium Z
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 72 HP / 252 Atk / 184 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Wood Hammer
- Drain Punch
- Stone Edge

Here we go, the mighty Swords Dance Rockium Z Chesnaught !

EVs spread allows it to outspeed Adamant Scizor and Jolly Crawdaunt. Wood Hammer and Drain Punch are its STABs. Stone Edge coupled with Rockium Z allows Chesnaught to break through Moltres, Latias, Altaria-Mega, Scizor and even Amoonguss after Stealth Rocks damages after a Swords Dance.

Chesnaught @ Salac Berry
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Substitute
- Belly Drum
- Drain Punch
- Seed Bomb / Rock Slide / Thunder Punch
Wannabe Kommo-o here. Sub, get up a Belly drum, and then hit things hard. Pretty self explanatory. Last move depending on what you wanna hit but those were the best options imo.

Chesnaught @ Choice Band
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 72 HP / 252 Atk / 184 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Wood Hammer
- Superpower
- Poison Jab
- Stone Edge

Choice Band Chesnaught hits like a truck lol. Wood Hammer is the strongest grass stab it has to nuke almost anything that doesn't resist it or have paper defences. Superpower means you can achieve the 2OHKO on Mega Aggron, while being able to drop Cobalion and Infernape. Bulky Scizor also drops after SR which is really nice. Stone Edge lets you pick up the OHKO on both Moltres and Rotom-H on the switch, pretty much all it's for. Poison Jab lets you hit fairy types most notably Mega Altaria or Togekiss (SE less reliable). The EV spread lets you outpace Adamant Banded Crawdaunt then the rest is dumped into HP. Hope you enjoy mashing buttons with this set LMAO.

252+ Atk Choice Band Chesnaught Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Togekiss: 328-386 (87.7 - 103.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

252+ Atk Choice Band Chesnaught Poison Jab vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Altaria-Mega: 230-272 (79 - 93.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ Atk Choice Band Chesnaught Superpower vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Infernape: 372-438 (126.9 - 149.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ Atk Choice Band Chesnaught Superpower vs. 248 HP / 8 Def Filter Aggron-Mega: 202-238 (58.8 - 69.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ Atk Choice Band Chesnaught Superpower vs. 160 HP / 0 Def Scizor: 282-333 (87.8 - 103.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

252+ Atk Choice Band Chesnaught Stone Edge vs. 236 HP / 4 Def Rotom-Heat: 294-348 (98 - 116%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO

Scarf Chesnaught

Chesnaught @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Wood Hammer
- Drain Punch

Here we have an odd Choice Scarfer because it has a low base Spe, which leaves it outsped by faster Scarfers, but still it is quite unpredictable.
First of all, Chesnaught is still bulkier than some traditional Choice Scarfers, so it can switch into some neutral moves without fearing too much.
Second, now it can beat some of the tradiotional counters (that are often lured by this set) with the right coverage move, bar Crobat that outspeeds Chesnaught anyways.
Finally, it can work offensively after taking a random Knock Off due to the Spe EVs + nature.

SR support is mandatory to cleanly OHKO some "counters".

Calcs:
252 Atk Chesnaught Rock Slide vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Moltres: 316-372 (98.4 - 115.8%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO

252 Atk Chesnaught Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Chandelure: 208-246 (79.6 - 94.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Chesnaught Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Entei: 218-258 (58.7 - 69.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Chesnaught Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Darmanitan: 306-360 (87.1 - 102.5%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO (on the switch)
