I still see a few mentions of megahorn and Heracross. Make sure to just ctrl + F to check your analysis for any more of these and then once that is done, QC 3/3

Edit:
I went through and changed most of the ones I saw but you double check over it too please RotomPoison

Hi, here's an amcheck

Overview
########

Nidoking is one of the best wallbreakers in the UU metagame thanks to its excellent movepool and ability, Sheer Force. Sheer Force grants Nidoking a free 30% boost to most of its main attacks and negates the recoil from Life Orb, effectively giving it a 1.69x boost. It also has access to excellent moves such as Sludge Wave, Earth Power, Fire Blast, Ice Beam, and even Stealth Rock, making it very difficult to safely switch in to leaving it very few safe switch-ins (I changed this one because you say "leaving it __" in the next sentence too). Unfortunately, it suffers from mediocre stats and typing, leaving it somewhat frail and slow.

Life Orb
########
name: Life Orb
move 1: Sludge Wave
move 2: Earth Power
move 3: Ice Beam
move 4: Superpower / Stealth Rock / Substitute
ability: Sheer Force
item: Life Orb
evs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
nature: Naive / Timid

Moves
========

Sludge Wave is Nidoking's strongest STAB move, which and allows it to 2HKO Florges, something not many other special attackers can do. Earth Power is its secondary STAB move, which hits Pokemon like Raikou and Aggron harder than any other move it has. Ice Beam hits nearly everything immune to Earth Power super effectively, easily OHKOing Honchkrow and 2HKOing most other Flying-types. Thunderbolt can hit Suicune harder, but Nidoking appreciates having its other moves more. Superpower is used to hit Blissey and Umbreon, as they otherwise wall Nidoking completely. Stealth Rock can be used on predicted switches if the rest of your team lacks the space for it, as Nidoking can easily find opportunities to set it up. Substitute can be used to ease prediction and allows Nidoking to stay in a turn longer when it would otherwise be forced out.

Set Details
========

The EVs maximize Nidoking's offensive potential by making it as fast and strong as possible. A Naive nature should be used with Superpower to allow Nidoking to 2HKO Blissey and Umbreon, some of the few Pokemon capable of withstanding Nidoking's other moves. If you are not using Superpower, a Timid nature should be used to preserve Nidoking's special bulk. Running a Modest nature is viable, but you are Nidoking is then outsped by threats such as Modest Roserade and Porygon-Z, Adamant Toxicroak, neutral natured Kingdra, and the ability to tie with opposing Timid Nidoking.

Usage Tips
========

As Nidoking is an incredibly powerful wallbreaker, it often forces switches which should be taken advantage of, especially if you are using Stealth Rock or Substitute. As Nidoking occasionally runs a Choice Scarf set, it is possible to play a risky bluff by sending Nidoking out against a Pokemon it would be able to revenge kill and taking advantage of the situation accordingly. Switching Nidoking in without U-turn or Volt Switch support can be difficult, so use its resistances to common moves such as like Close Combat, and immunity to all Electric-type moves well. At team preview, look at which Pokemon Nidoking can eliminate or threaten and allow it to do so.

Team Options
========

Volt Switch and U-turn from Pokemon like Mega Ampharos and Hydreigon can use Volt Switch and U-turn are great to give Nidoking an easier switch in, and both have somewhat decent synergy with it, though both Nidoking and Hydreigon have trouble breaking through Suicune. Honchkrow is immune to both Ground- and Psychic-type moves and can pressure Pokemon such as Blissey and Umbreon. Pursuit support from Pokemon such as Mega Absol and Mega Aerodactyl can be very helpful for beating Alakazam as well. Mega Houndoom is an excellent cleaner who that appreciates Nidoking's ability to wallbreak, while also providing a Psychic immunity. Sticky Web and Tailwind are both excellent moves to get around Nidoking's mediocre Speed, and Pokemon such as Galvantula and Tornadus can easily set it up.

Other Options
########

Choice Scarf can be used to get past Nidoking's mediocre Speed, but it's weak without a Life Orb, and Nidoking is a much better wallbreaker than revenge killer. A physical Choice Scarf set can be run as opposed to a special one, but this set is also weak and has much worse coverage than a special one. Hone Claws can be run with Thunder or Sucker Punch, Blizzard, and Earth Power, but this set relies on a boost and is extremely unreliable. Toxic Spikes can be used over Stealth Rock, but Stealth Rock is just better in general. Sucker Punch can be used on the Life Orb set to beat weakened opposing Pokemon, but Stealth Rock, Substitute, or Superpower are all more useful to Nidoking's main job, which is wallbreaking.

Checks & Counters
########

**Blissey**: Blissey completely counters any set lacking Superpower, (remove comma) and can even outlast those that do by spamming Soft-Boiled until Nidoking has enough Attack drops to do negligible damage. (period)

**Bulky Water-types**: Suicune only truly fears the rare Thunderbolt and can hit back with Scald or Hydro Pump. Umbreon can also counter Nidoking through sheer bulk, but relies on Wish + Protect to beat it. Gastrodon can be 2HKOed by Sludge Wave, while Vaporeon, Milotic, and Jellicent are 2HKOed by either Earth Power or Sludge Wave, so they have a hard time switching in.

**Revenge Killers**: Victini and Hydreigon can both easily revenge kill Nidoking, but are weak to one of Nidoking's common moves, so they have a very hard time switching in, (remove comma) and can only check it once.

**Snorlax**: Snorlax can counter any set without Superpower due to its massive Special Defense, but is easily worn down.

**Hippowdon**: Hippowdon has the bulk to live survive an Ice Beam and OHKO back with Earthquake, but it is 2HKOed by every move Nidoking runs besides Sludge Wave.

A mention of Nidoking's immunity to Toxic and Thunder Wave, which lets it perform much better against bulkier teams than most wallbreakers, is needed.

I assume that Ice Beam>Thunderbolt for Flygon, Hydreigon, maybe even Goodra and Gligar, while also hitting all the other fliers and etc. But you got to at least mention this. As it stands, you basically state it's for Flying-types, and then that Thunderbolt also does that and smashes Suicune, which walls you otherwise. And then you say that Nidoking prefers its other moves.

Face it, if I read your analysis and didn't know much about UU, i would use Thunderbolt and never look back.

I don't think you were right about almost anything you said about Bulky Waters:

252 SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Nidoking Sludge Wave vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Vaporeon: 207-243 (44.6 - 52.3%) -- 79.3% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
(207, 208, 211, 214, 216, 218, 220, 224, 226, 227, 230, 234, 235, 238, 239, 243).

252 SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Nidoking Sludge Wave vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Milotic: 164-192 (41.6 - 48.7%) -- 17.6% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

252 SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Nidoking Earth Power vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Jellicent: 179-212 (44.4 - 52.6%) -- 80.9% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

These are all just 252/0 spreads too, obviously SpD variants wall you even harder. I guess Vappy suffers from WishTect problems though. (Also, Jellicent is the easiest to kill, but it resists Sludge Wave, so it fears nothing but Tbolt and EP.)

By the way, please read my comments; I feel they're fairly relevant to the analysis.

Comments:

I feel like Superpower is more worth mentioning than Stealth Rock. Even ignoring the primary slash, without Superpower Blissey and Umbreon would just wall it and start laughing. With it, Nidoking can break everything but Suicune (And can still break that if it really wants, too), which is kind of a big deal.

Substitute is to punish slower sacrifices from offensive teams as well as easing prediction, just saying. It's a great way to lay the hurt on an offensive team, and while Nidoking is primarily a wallbreaker, Sub should be mentioned as giving it that versatility vs. offensive teams.

Maybe mention that Mega Amph shit-stomps Suicune?

I don't see a single mention of teammates that absorb Ice-type moves. In fact, i see a lot that stack the weakness, which isn't that bad, but you could mention that increases the pressure on you from ice-type attacks. or just mention a teammate or two that takes them. Come to think, this applies to water moves too, though Amph does take those.

Also, you can inbound into Toxic and Poison moves. Just saying, that's probably your best bet, though Close Combat is common it's also strong as hell.

Mention that Superpower 2hits Blissey on the switch-in. Possibly that with SR down, and switching into Sludge Wave/Earth Power, Superpower can KO from there, especially with any other residual damage, spikes, etc. Though that's a bit more out there, and not guaranteed chances.

Mention that Moonlight Umby kind of puts you out of luck, unless you have some kind of weather support (ss or hail).

I feel like Gastrodon can be Koed by two earth powers, but not by two sludge waves, as he resists poison. Though apparently this is the Phys.D version;the Spd version at over 11% 1337 usage can take like anything. In fact, why is that not mentioned as the #1 counter?

Revenge Killers might be able to switch in only once, but they can check you infinitely by revenge killing. Maybe mention they can only really switch in safely once, and then have to worry about getting hit with neutral/SE moves.

What about SpD hippo? 1337 stats show that used about 9.6% of the time, so it's not impossible. It can come into Sludge Wave, as well as Superpower/Stealth Rock, and even phaze on a Substitute, and obviously takes the rare Thunderbolt well. As for earth power, it needs to either get a bit of luck (maybe like 40% to live an ice beam afterwards) or not have stealth rock down and be at full health. A check at best, but a bit more than what you've said. Maybe mention phys. d hippo can revenge too, i guess.

Sludge Wave is Nidoking's strongest STAB move, allowing it to 2HKO Florges, something not many other special attackers can do. Earth Power is itNidoking's secondary STAB move, which hits Pokemon like Raikou and Aggron harder than any other move it has. Ice Beam hits nearly everything immune to Earth Power super effectively, easily OHKOing Honchkrow and 2HKOing most other Flying-types. Thunderbolt hits Suicune harder, but Nidoking appreciates having its other moves more. Superpower is used to hit Blissey and Umbreon, as they otherwise wall Nidoking completely. Stealth Rock can be used on predicted switches if your team lacks the space for it, as Nidoking can easily find opportunities to set it up. Substitute can be used to ease prediction and allow Nidoking to stay in a turn longer when it would otherwise be forced out.

Set Details
========

The EVs maximize Nidoking's offensive potential by making it as fast and strong as possible. A Naive nature should be used with Superpower to allow Nidoking to 2HKO Blissey and Umbreon, some of the few Pokemon capable of withstanding Nidoking's other moves. If you are not using Superpower, a Timid nature should be used to preserve Nidoking's Special Defense. Running a Modest nature is viable, but you are then outsped by threats such as neutral natured Roserade, Porygon-Z, Toxicroak, Kingdra, and opposing Timid Nidoking.

Usage Tips
========

Switching Nidoking in without U-turn or Volt Switch support can be difficult, so use its resistances to common moves like Close Combat, and immunity to all Electric-type moves, well. At team preview, look at which Pokemon Nidoking can eliminate or threaten and allow it to do so.

Team Options
========

Volt Switch and U-turn from Pokemon such as Mega Ampharos and Hydreigon are great to give Nidoking an easier switch -in, and both have somewhat decent synergy with it, though both Nidoking and Hydreigon have trouble breaking through Suicune. Honchkrow is immune to both Ground- and Psychic-type moves and can pressure Pokemon such as Blissey and Umbreon. Pursuit support from Pokemon such as Mega Absol and Mega Aerodactyl can be very helpful for beating Alakazam as well. Mega Houndoom is an excellent cleaner who appreciates Nidoking's ability to wallbreak, and also provides an immunity to Psychic-type moves. Sticky Web and Tailwind are both excellent moves to get around Nidoking's mediocre Speed, and Pokemon such as Galvantula and Tornadus can easily set them up.

Other Options
########

Choice Scarf can be used to get past Nidoking's mediocre Speed, but it's weak without a Life Orb, and Nidoking is a much better wallbreaker than a revenge killer. A physical Choice Scarf set can be run as opposed to a special one, but it is also weak and has much worse coverage than a special one. Hone Claws can be run with Thunder or Sucker Punch, Blizzard, and Earth Power, but it relies on a boost and is extremely unreliable. Toxic Spikes can be used over Stealth Rock, orbut Stealth Rock is just better in general. Sucker Punch can be used on the Life Orb set to beat weakened Pokemon, but Stealth Rock, Substitute, or Superpower are all more useful to Nidoking's main job, which is wallbreaking.

Checks & Counters
########

**Blissey**: Blissey completely counters any set lacking Superpower, and can even outlast those that do by spamming Soft-Boiled until Nidoking has enough Attack drops to the point that they do negligible damage.

**Umbreon**: Umbreon has the bulk to take any of Nidoking's attacks, but relies on Wish + Protect to beat it.

**Bulky Water-types**: Suicune only truly fears the rare Thunderbolt and can hit back with Scald or Hydro Pump. Gastrodon can be 2HKOd by Sludge Wave, while Vaporeon, Milotic, and Jellicent are 2HKOed by either Earth Power or Sludge Wave, so they have a hard time switching in.

**Revenge Killers**: Victini and Hydreigon can both easily revenge kill Nidoking, but are weak to one of Nidoking's common moves, Earth Power and Ice Beam, respectively, so they have a very hard time switching in, and can only check it once.

**Snorlax**: Snorlax can counter any set without Superpower due to its massive Special Defense, but is easily worn down.

**Hippowdon**: Hippowdon has the bulk to live an Ice Beam and OHKO back with Earthquake, but is 2HKOed by every move Nidoking runs besides Sludge Wave.

Superpower is already the primary slash. I already mentioned the Substitute part. There are better Pokemon to beat Suicune than Ampharos, and in rare cases offensive Ice Beam 2HKOs offensive ones. Fact is: many Pokemon that work with Nidoking unfortunately share an Ice weakness, just how it is. Already did the next 2. Moonlight Umbreon is rare. Gastrodon isn't the best Nidoking counter, it's forced to Recover stall and the slightest bit of prior damage means it loses as it switches in, and it's uncommon. I already mentioned Hippowdon too. I'll implement the amcheck though.

Banned deucer.
done
Superpower is already the primary slash.
I meant superpower in the overview, seeing as it's much more relevant and vital to Nidoking. Stealth Rock is just a sideshow to be honest;without Superpower Nidoking would just be a mediocre pokemon that has serious problems with most stall.

I already mentioned the Substitute part.
In what context? "stay in one turn longer when it would be forced out otherwise"? Because you have to sacrifice a turn for that. In a sense what you're saying is true, and especially relevant if you have the context I do. Maybe give that context, by explaining it lets you take advantage of sacrifices, thus letting you stay in another turn-actually gaining a turn overall.

There are better Pokemon to beat Suicune than Ampharos, and in rare cases offensive Ice Beam 2HKOs offensive ones.
If there are "better pokemon than Ampharos to beat Suicune", well, Ampharos can do it too while Volt Switching in Nidoking. If those Pokemon are better, by the way, mention them, because Suicune is arguably one of your greater threats and you want a teammate that can take it down.

Fact is: many Pokemon that work with Nidoking unfortunately share an Ice weakness, just how it is.
Yeah, just how it is. No need to mention helpful teammates to deal with the gaping synergy flaw created by this. No need to even mention Mega Ampharos' helpful water resist either.

Already did the next 2.
I meant switch into Poison-type moves, if that wasn't clear. Especially considering that you say inbound into close combat, which, well...

252+ Atk Life Orb Lucario Close Combat vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Nidoking: 153-182 (50.3 - 59.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
(153, 156, 157, 160, 161, 164, 165, 168, 168, 170, 172, 174, 175, 178, 179, 182)

252+ Atk Life Orb Lucario Extreme Speed vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Nidoking: 138-162 (45.3 - 53.2%) -- 35.5% chance to 2HKO
(138, 139, 140, 143, 144, 146, 147, 149, 151, 152, 153, 156, 157, 159, 160, 162)

Rocks guarantee the 2hitko. Infernape just blazes your ass.

Oh yeah, mention the Superpower 2hitting Blissey as it comes in in Checks and Counters, jesus. You say it can stall out superpowers with Softboiled, which makes it sound like it comes in and starts softing away. But if you superpower as it comes in, nope.

I also mention in my previous post some of the more complex interactions between Blissey Y Tu, like Sludge or EP with rocks, priors, etc. Also worth mentioning.

Moonlight Umbreon is rare.
And a hard counter, who conveniently has a section you could offhandedly mention it in.

Gastrodon isn't the best Nidoking counter, it's forced to Recover stall and the slightest bit of prior damage means it loses as it switches in, and it's uncommon.
Er, phys.D dies to two Earth Powers, though you still list it as dying to two Sludge Waves, even though it resists that. But SpD doesn't even get close to 2shotted. What are you talking about here anyways?

I already mentioned Hippowdon too.
But not SpD, which, considering it's a great check and you could just offhand mention it, what's the problem.

I'll implement the amcheck though.

By the way, Offensive Cune is 2-shotted pretty easily by Nido, so it's really just a better class of check. The only offensive spread i could find in higher-level usage is 252/196/60 modest, which actually doesn't outspeed you and is 2hitkoed pretty easily on top of that. Your problem is the defensive one and crocune, and ampharos shit stomps that into the damn ground. Especially if Nido can spot him a hit beforehand. Plus, even if offensive is a problem, it has to hit him on the switch with Ice Beam. Which isn't that hard if Nidoking is in, but it's still helpful against it in other situations-not too helpful to nido, but still. And btw

196+ SpA Suicune Ice Beam vs. 132 HP / 0 SpD Mega Ampharos: 146-174 (41.2 - 49.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
(146, 148, 150, 152, 154, 156, 158, 160, 160, 162, 164, 166, 168, 170, 172, 174).

In checks and counters, you state Victini and i can't be arsed to look check Nidoking ONCE. Victini checks nidoking until the cows come home by revenge killing it. It can only switch IN once, maybe. But that's a whole different kettle of fish.

Thank you for the Ice Beam thing, but what the hell about the Bulky waters? They all fucking wall you (and hit you SE), coming close to doing so with 252/0 spreads, and you just pretend like they don't?

Overview
########

Nidoking is one of the best wallbreakers in the UU metagame thanks to its excellent movepool and ability, Sheer Force. Sheer Force grants Nidoking a free 30% power boost to most of its main attacks and negates the recoil from Life Orb. It also has access to excellent moves such as Sludge Wave, Earth Power, Fire Blast, Ice Beam, Superpower, and even Stealth Rock, making it very difficult to safely switch in to. Unfortunately, it suffers from a mediocre defensive typing, defensive stats, and a middling Speed stat, leaving it somewhat frail and slow.
