hey guys i think i wanna lead too

here is my role pm

Dear Walrein,
You are James Bond.

The infamous 007, you are one of the best agents MI6 has to offer. When you’re not busy being a complete ladykiller, you’re probably on a mission to just be a regular killer. Your expertise is vast, whether it’s being a master of disguise or using complex gadgets.

At night you may PM askaninjask and Daenym “NX - Activating a gadget to copy my target’s ability.” That night, you must also be the one to kill for the Assassins. If you successfully kill your target, you will permanently gain his night action. This may only be done once. If your target is not a member of the Invisibles, this will have no effect. If your kill is blocked then you will be unable to use this ability again, but if you are prevented from acting the ability will not count as used.

You know that there are a few specific items in this game that others aren’t able to use. But it you manage to get all of them in your possession, you’ll be able to turn them into a very powerful piece of equipment. Careful, though, because you might not be the only one looking for them.

You are holding the _a__i__ P__t. <snip>

You are allied with the Invisibles. You win if the Invisibles outlast the Assassins, the Alchemist, and the Stalinist Coalition for a Better Tomorrow.

clamtome guyz i'm totally village!!!!!

Dear jumpluff,
You are Waldo.

Where’s you? You would think that a man who wears a striped red and white had would be easy to spot in a crowd, but you are notoriously difficult to find despite your poor choice in hat. You’re functionally invisible, able to go anywhere you want without being found, so you joined the Invisibles on their quest to world domination.
?_?

Anyway, I am quite disappointed that nobody has contacted me yet. I still need the Cloak, and anybody else with a piece of machinery would find it in their interests to talk to me and work out a deal...

e: ik that but still. "where's you" -_-

9. Trying something new this time, and the way PMs are written will be purposely varied, as well as possible inclusion of grammatical/spelling errors. So if your PM has something minor like that wrong with it, or you see that someone else's PM has problems, don't make too much of it, because it might be us trolling you.

also bg protect me or pluff

Congratulations to jumpluff, the first player to complete the scavenger hunt!

billymills, has also finished, only a few seconds behind. Good work.

And midou in 3rd. Incredibly quick guys!

Let's see how long it takes for the rest of you to finish.

@Bass: I give up.

Also, I was only trying to help the village...unfortunately, I left all my info to the inspector and to the recently deceased Walrein rofl..."oh well".

Maybe if more people had talked to me I could've been of more help.

A shame UncleSam, considering how fast the first 3 got their answers.

We now have another person who completed the scavenger hunt. Give a round of applause to shade!

The second task now comes to a close!

Agape has completed the scavenger hunt successfully. So has askaninjask.

Let me post a recap of the second task. This was a scavenger hunt to find the URLs of certain threads based on a list of hints. As an additional twist, each player was given one correct URL. Like the previous task, collaboration was also encouraged, but in fact I would say it was essential this time. The hints were designed such that you could easily connect your own URL to the correct hint, but not determine the others without outside support. Some were more vague than others. Anyway, this task was meant to be a bit more lighthearted than the others, as the one I am going to give you next will be much more serious. Anyway, here are the answers to the scavenger hunt:

Yes, the theme was my 10 favorite threads in Trou. I hope you all enjoyed reading them again as much as I did!

Now for some shout outs. Walrein was also able to make a correct submission, but he was too slow and got ninja'd. Unfortunately for him, this means that he will not make it to the third task. It is true that I didn't review his first attempt correctly and told him (along with aska) that they got only one wrong when it was two, but as you can see, it didn't really effect the results in the end. Better luck next time :(. I would also like to commend jumpluff for completing the hunt in about an hour. While she obviously used outside help, she was also able to determine many of the answers on her own.

With this, the remaining 6 players are:

jumpluff
billymills
Midou
shade
Agape
askaninjask

Information on the third task will be up later tonight. As I have mentioned, it will be much more serious than this one, so don't expect to see it over within a mere day. I will also remind you all, since some of you have forgotten, that only one person will win the secret prize in the end. Keep that in mind as you prepare yourselves for the third task.

Good afternoon guys. Did you have fun with the scavenger hunt?

Because your third task is another hunt. But not a fun hunt in merry spirits like last time. No. This hunt will be much more serious, with far more at stake. Be warned, this task will take much more time to complete than the previous ones.

You will all be hypothetically placed in a forest, with your own encampments. Each player gets one precious item they must protect, some play money ($100 with an extra $20 for jumpluff, who had the best performance in the previous task), and a shotgun with one round. You can get additional rounds at a store in the middle of the forest (see below). You will also be informed of an additional precious item that is being carried by someone else (though you won't be told who). This item will be what you are hunting for.

The hunt will consist of four cycles. Each cycle will end in 24 hours. To move on to the next task, all you need to do is hold both your initial precious item as well as the one you were assigned to hunt for after all cycles are completed.

During each cycle, You have a few choices of actions, which you must PM me once per cycle. They are listed below, in order of priority.

1) Stay at camp. This action itself has three variations. One is that you can fire a single round from your shotgun and scare off any would be thieves, protecting your items. The other is not firing anything. This is the default action if you idle. Your precious item will not be protected, but the identity of the culprit will be known if it gets stolen. Lastly, if you have a shotgun round, you may choose to protect someone else's camp, but as with the options outlined below, this leaves your own camp vulnerable. Note that protecting either your camp or someone elses consumes a shotgun round, regardless of what actually happens.
2) Go to someone else's camp and attempt to take ALL of their precious items. If two people attempt to go to the same camp in one night, priority is given to the user who PMs me first.
3) You can go to the store and bid on a shotgun round, auction style. There are only 2 rounds sold per cycle. First come, first serve, and sold to the two highest bidder. As the owner of this store, I also accept currency in the form of precious items, so you can use your precious items as an additional $25 in your bid. At the beginning of the following cycle, I will post which precious items are in the shop and they can then be bidded on in future cycles, just like shotgun rounds. I will also post how much each shotgun round sold for. Again though, keep in mind that if you bid with precious items, your bid will be reduced accordingly if your precious items get stolen during that cycle.

Again, note the priorities here.

There will also be two trading periods. These will be conducted after the first and third cycles. You can trade any combination of shotgun rounds, money, and precious items. Like the hunting cycles, they will last 24 hours, and you may trade as many times as you wish within it. To conduct a trade, PM me with "Trading my [X] for USER's [Y]". It is not necessary to be this formal, however, if both you and your trading parter are on IRC and can confirm your trades to me in real time, this will also work. Trades are only finalized when two players have shown through either method that they have agreed to the same terms.

Finally, after the last cycle, there will be a special auction. If you failed to meet the criteria for survival (carrying the precious item you were assigned to hunt and the one you were given initially), you have an additional chance. I will confiscate all excess precious items and auction them off to the higest bidder, where the bidders can use whatever money they have remaining. All money made in this auction will be paid to each respective holder of the excess item in question. I will also offer one more opportunity for survival, though the price is steep ($200). I will award the advantage in the next task to the survivor with the most money at the end. If you still fail to meet the criteria to survive after all of this, you will be eliminated from the competition.

Before we start with the actual hunt though, I will be PM each of you your assigned and target precious items. I will also give you a 24 hour grace period before the first cycle. Use this time to talk to the other players as well as to devise any strategies.

Feel free to ask me any questions, this task is far more complicated than the others!

As always, good luck!
