honestly go see them live it will change your perspective completely :P

almost forgot to mention my NOW PLAYING:
Kissy Sell Out - Annie Mac Mash-up

This is one long mix-up from one of the best up-and-coming DJs on Annie Mac's Radio 1 show, layering songs mostly from the 90s over new beats. It's good, but I'm sat at home on a computer:
6/10 at home, 9/10 in Moles (Bath) next Friday (i'mFUCK excited)

Saetia - Venus and Bacchus

One of Saetia's slower and more beautiful songs, this begins with a spoken lyrics part and a slow but tense guitar, before the distorsion kicks in, Billy Werner delivers his screams and the song becomes the chaotic hardcore Saetia are known for. The lyrics are written in dialogue form and have the poem-like aspects that characterize Saetia. It's also one of the few screamo songs that is actually about a relationship. 9.5/10

The Arcade Fire - Black Wave/Bad Vibrations

Probably my favorite song from Neon Bible, this song starts off with female vocals and higher pitched instruments at first, but in the middle, male vocals with a less pitched voice take place, beautiful lyrics overall, great song that motivated me into to listening more of Arcade Fire's stuff.

9.5/10

Waiting For The 7:18-Bloc Party

Really interesting song from a great British band. The glockenspiels (played by Bassist Gordon Moakes) remind you of a train (I know it sounds weird but it really works), the lead guitarist (Russel Lissack) uses amazing effects in this song from start to finish. The climax is amazing and the ending simply works (not unlike almost every other Bloc Party song).

add a little summary of it or the big bad doommullet will delete your post.

Nas - Hip Hop Is Dead

good stuff. the guitar in the back was nice.
I miss Nas' old stuff, though.

Okkervil River - Unless It's Kicks

This album as a whole (The Stage Names) is really starting to grow on me. Wasn't exactly blown away at first, but intelligent and often moving lyrics, simple but good music with solid hooks, and excellent vocals - what's not to like? A surprising amount of emotion is packed into this album without it being whiny, and the band still manages to have fun. Worth listening to.

Jefferson Airplane - White Rabbit

Haha, a classic in psychedelic rock. This song fucking rules, all the mushroom/tripping/Alice in Wonderland references work strangely well together (not so much when you remember the AiW history).

9/10

Porcupine Tree - Fear Of A Blank Planet

All I can say is that this song (and album) are amazing. Will definitely make my top 5 list for 2007. Awesome solo is awesome.

9/10

Fallout Boy - The Takeover, The Break's Over

I used to listen to a lot of fallout boy when "take this to your grave" was out. after "sugar we're goin down", they were basically ruined.
although this is some of there newer stuff, I like it.

9/10

The Falcon - Little Triggers

The Falcon is another one of Dan Adriano's side projects and it seems like nearly everyone on this forums an Alkaline Trio fan. He teams up with members from The Lawrence Arms to make some damn good music.

"It seems like these days we're all sinking fast.
These days turned to weeks, now we're too weak to last."

I can't believe I didn't notice this forum earlier. On topic...

Canon In D Major - JerryC

Just shows how much you can do with a guitar. 10/10

Israel Kamakawiwo'Ole - Somewhere Over the Rainbow

this is perhaps the most beautiful song in the world, and brings a tear to my eyes every time i listen to it.

Gotta say, IZ is quite the big guy, good stuff though.

Indian Summer - Angry Son

This son gets me so relaxed ever time, such an amazing song. doesn't stop pleasing from start to finish. Absolutely love this band.

9.5/10

Flotsam and Jetsam - Bathing In Red

One of the most unappreciated bands ever. The only reason they are known in the first place is that they were Jason Newsted's first band before joining Metallica.

Anyway, this is an amazing thrash metal ballad from their most recent album. simply amazing

9/10

King Crimson - Lark's Tongues in Aspic

man I still need to get part iv for this

It's funny how I've been on a sort of epically long song binge lately though, like first I got to listening to Light of Day, Day of Darkness which of course is brilliant until that STUPID WHORE singing at around the half-hour mark. I mean I know a lot of people don't mind it but to me it just completely ruins the pace and awesomeness of the song up until then, and then it takes even more time to get back on track.
Then I got to Edge of Sanity's Crimson, partly because I was in the frame of mind for epic shit after that but mostly because I love it to pieces. Seriously absolutely everyone needs to listen to this (unless you're one of those "waaaaaah I'd like metal if it weren't for those growls and screams and things can anyone show me some death metal bands with no vocals or clean ones" types) because it is just bloody amazing. 40 minutes of amazing.

And that brought me around to this after giving up on trying to like those bits in GY!BE where it's just talking and random voices I mean damn. So I was wondering how many other people had the same experience I did with this: you start it up, and it's those damn bells. But you don't skip ahead, you just turn the volume up and forge ahead trying to hear them properly when suddenly WHAM HUGE FUCKING RIFF HOLY SHITTING DICKNIPPLES BATMAN and you're sitting there trying to get the circulation flowing in your ears again because you had the volume up so high and it's all rocking from there.

Ten out of fucken ten I mean how can you not love this?

Pain of Salvation - Second Love

A cheesy ballad that isn't cheesy enough to hate. It's a bit middle-of-the-road for such a progressive rock/metal band such as PoS, but it works really well and it's soothing.

9/10

Animal Collective - Leaf House

This song is weird, but incredibly catchy all the while. The lyrics make no sense, the vocals are odd, and the music sounds like a mixture of acoustic guitar with a touch of electronica. It's fun, though, and my favorite song off of Sung Tongs. For those of you who are used to their two latest albums, this might sound a little raw. Still, listen to this, it's a great song.

FUCK YES

FUCK YES

FUCK YES

the falcon are sooooo fucking good, thank you. thank you. if you like unicornography, check out god don't make no trash. building the perfect asshole parade (the one off the album i spoke of) is one of my favourite songs of all time.

the lawrence arms - where are you going, where have you been?

so beautiful. doesn't quite compare with some of chris's better songs (the revisionist, chapter 13: the hero appears), but still excellent none the less. a must have for any pop punk fan.

Fall Out Boy - Thnks fr th Mmrs

This song is waaaaaaaaaaay too catchy, it's a pretty standard pop punk anthem but it's got hooks and that's all you need anyway to enjoy this music.

The Kill Point marathon on SpikeTV

Holy shit, this show is awesome. The season finale is at the end of the marathon, I already can't wait.

10/10

The White Stripes - The Hardest Button To Button

I've always liked the white stripes, but I've never heard this song. o_0
it's pretty damn good.

this video is making me lol.

8/10

King Crimson - Coda: Marine 475

I enjoy this music because it's a great continuation from VROOOM, somehow after listening to this song you kinda feel vivid, the lyrics are hard to make out, but you won't even pay attention to them, because this song has it all, great drums, great bass, and a really awesome guitar.

8.5/10

!!! - Heart Of Hearts

First time listening to the Myth Takes album from them and so far I haven't found anything outstandindg. Dear Can still remains as their best song in my opinion. Heart Of Hearts is pretty decent, but it's missing the normally catchy tunes of chk chk chk.
