Christmas Tree - Lady GaGa

Yeah, I'm listening to a Christmas song... A sexual Christmas song. Lady GaGa is pretty much one of my most favorite artists ever. So amazing! And this song is... A bit odd, I never heard a Christmas song with underlying sexuality. It's pretty good though!

Ho ho ho under the mistletoe
Yes everybody knows
We will take off our clothes
Yes if you want us to we will

Yo oh oh oh Christmas
My Christmas tree is delicious

Pain - Just Hate Me

Pain are great... Peter Tagtgren's one man industrial metal project. I really dig them. It's like Rammstein with more in your face English lyrics.

Mescaline Eyes by These Arms Are Snakes

TAAS is almost too cool but they've got too much experimentation going on simultaneously. They should develop their post-hardcore/hardcore/experimental stuff into a concept that wouldn't always sound so weird. In my opinion, experimenting with new things in music is really great but when it's done over and over again on every album, it gets a bit boring. If these guys would do a pure post-hc album, I'd probably make sweet love to it.

7.5/10

np: té - 人間は自由なものとして生まれ、至る所で『鎖』に繋がれてゆく。

no, it's not jpop; it's a fairly obscureish (well, outside of japan) post-rock (with math-rock elements I suppose) band. their stuff can be fairly heavy; on a scale of, say, explosions in the sky to the angelic process, they probably rate somewhere in between pelican and red sparowes (lol what a scale). they're a bit reminscent of we followed tigers imo. i downloaded this album and the songs were all tagged in babelfished engrish too, which really annoyed me ~_~ it took me awhile to re-tag them all.

You've Got Hopes by Hell Is For Heroes

Just got their latest album, self-titled (released in 2007), and I have to say that I'm sort of disappointed. I really like this band and unfortunately they're going to break up quite soon, which means that there won't be any more music for them. So, this newest album has pretty much only slower, more atmospheric songs, which sucks. The vocals are suited for fairly fast-paced post-hardcore, like they've done on Neon Handshake and Transmit Disrupt. The instrumental side of their music has never been that great (barring some riffs in the older songs), so I don't get why they focus on that on Hell Is For Heroes.

If you're into this band, try My Protector from this album because it's probably the closest one to the older production.

6/10

Gentle Giant - Knots

Track from one of my favorite prog rock albums, Octopus. And the xylophone solo sounds very nice as well.

way out
way out of here
