You may not be into rumors or it might have been said already, but I was watching a stream yesterday and it was said that some important guy on Smogon said that Excadrill and Thundurus are banned, it just hasn't been posted yet.
I don't know if anyone's said it outright, but Aldaron's been acting like it's the case. You may not be into rumors or it might have been said already, but I was watching a stream yesterday and it was said that some important guy on Smogon said that Excadrill and Thundurus are banned, it just hasn't been posted yet.

Just as long as Doryuzu is banned, balance will finally come to OU. Thundrus has a lot more checks and counters than Doryuzu does.
And also Raikaria, what do you have against Gastrodon? Every single post of your I see just hates on Drizzle and Gastrodon and says Drizzle is overpowered because people use "shit like Gastrodon". Is Quagsire or Swampert supposed to take the place of the best Water/Ground type? Gastrodon is used to check Thundrus and Rotom-W, and even with Thundrus' banning, it will be used due to its immunity to Sand, Storm Drain, and countering of prominent Electric threats like Rotom-W. Quagsire can do that, but with Unaware, it has a very different niche, and Water Absorb doesn't buff its offensive presence. Swampert? LOL. Swampert is dead this generation, we don't play 4th gen anymore.
Gastrodon isn't shit, and Drizzle is very manageable, even with Thundrus. Gatsrodon's use is a very poor reason for hatred of Drizzle.
look people have to use pokemon that they might not otherwise use to check common metagame threats! i mean, i really don't want to use blissey on my stall team because it's a liability against teams that use stuff like conkledurr and terrakion but i want to be able to check special attackers...
drizzle is a part of this metagame, and it's the burden of those who want to ban drizzle to prove why it should be banned. saying "oh using pokemon x is so silly - we should ban drizzle" isn't good logic...
