Espeon = Broken.
So I won't use it. Yeah call me stupid or whatever I just have wifi matches that I don't bother to save because he used magmortar / espeon / other NU broken crap.

And Wouldn't HP Water help with the fires?

For me, if you want to use CM Gardevoir you absolutely NEED to use Taunt, so you're not outclassed by Espeon.
Having Wish and Taunt makes Gardy a nice stall breaker/supporter of sorts... provided you take care of dark pokes (Skuntank...).

The server hasn't been updated yet, (as of March 11) but has everybody already stopped using Milking? I couldn't get a match last night and I want to come in prepared.

Nobody's really using the ladder because everyone wants to play around with Qwilfish and Drifblim (lol Nidoqueen).

It would be nice to get some testing in though.

CM Espeon badly outclasses CM Gardevoir - the best Voir set in NU is probably the one which best abuses its superior movepool and typing:
Life Orb
Modest/Timid
Trace
4 HP/252 SpA/252 Spe
Psychic
Focus Blast
Shadow Ball
Will-o-Wisp

That set lets you rampage through the opposing team, taking advantage of Gardevoir's decent bulk to burn opponents and then tank hits on both sides.
Will dropping Focus Blast for Pain Split might work?
Shrugs off the hits and then can also heal. FB hits only Skuntank and darks, which isn't common in NU too much, my team doesn't have too much Skuntank problems.

Typing? Aren't they the same type (Psychic)
Looks like a decent set but I'd much rather run a hybrid support set. Still catching a Skuntank in on the switch rocks.

why are people saying seadra gets draco meteor - I thought only dragon types got it. Seadra is pure water - he doesn't even get swift swim, so he sucks on rain
Anyway, I havn't done NU in a long time...looking to build a team. I want to start with the broken pokemon and go from there - so something like espeon, skuntank, magmortar, Drifblim (I love him), Glalie (spikes), sandslash (mini donphan for spin + stealth rock)?

I usually work the other way, Uberiffic. I start with gimmicks to scout the metagame.
At the moment, I'm running a Sandstorm team.

This is just a thought, but could Munchlax be useful against the Fire-types? I used to use it a lot on my old teams from ~9 months ago, but maybe it's time to give it another go, with the departure of Miltank.

Just for reference, Munchlax has 85 Base Attack and 135/40/85 defenses (be sure to avoid Cross Chop with that base 40 defense). Not too shabby - more Attack than Miltank, and a ton more special bulk in exchange for a ton of physical bulk. He has a pretty solid physical movepool (core moves of Return Earthquake Pursuit with things like Seed Bomb/Ice Punch/Zen Headbutt for filler)

This all just speculation, but it seems like something that could work out decently as a replacement to Miltank.

Munchlax is a decent Fire-counter, I suppose. That fact that Magmortar and Typhlosion commonly carry Focus Blast isn't too great, but you resist their STAB.

Against 0 / 252 Careful Munchlax with Thick Fat:

Scarf Magmortar's Fire Blast: 20.4% - 24.3%
Scarf Magmortar's Focus Blast: 54.5% - 64.2%
Always a 2HKO, if you hit twice. Luckily, you've got a 49% chance of that happening. Becomes a 3HKO after two turns of Leftovers and no Stealth Rock, meaning you've got a decent chance at getting an Earthquake off.

Specs Magmortar's Fire Blast: 30.9% - 36.5%
Specs Magmortar's Focus Blast: 81.8% - 96.4%

people always mention "agility + SD" kingler...

who the heck is going to let you get off both of those stat boosting moves? they are going ot switch in their check/counter after you do one or the other... they aren't just going to sit their and watch you do the second stat booster while picking their knows. and kingler has huge trouble even taking neutral special attacks...

either weaken a team a bunch and bring in agilikingler or you need hella paralysis and use sd kingler. I prefer agility myself as its easier to at least hit something.

like every later game sweeper and they mother you need to hurt the pokemon counters significantly in order to sweep what that pokemon, you cant expect a pokemon to setup and sweep a entire well build team early game, agility kingler is better then most people think and SD is there only because he already get perfect coverage with crabhammer and return.

After Agility, Adamant Kingler outspeeds max speed Electrode.
It hits 498 speed. SD is a great filler if you can squeeze it somewhere.
Did any of you used Rock Polish Groudon in Ubers? Kingler uses a similiar Strategy.
Kingler = NU's Agiligross
And Crabhammer / Return gets great coverage. You can always use X-Scissor to hit grasses if you don't like SD.

@ dbcb: Kingler is actually reasonably physically bulky, so if you remove dangerous Special Attackers, he can set up on weaker Physical Attackers. Also, you can provide him Dual Screen and Encore support to give him some sort of way to boost both Attack and Speed (Requires quite a lot of support though)
