It may be just me, but the thing with 'Korean accidental leaking' just smells kinda fishy? Why would they be holding off this information, and for how long will they? Are these somehow not finished? Am I just in denial of two Megas having painfully situational abilities? (The last one is most certainly yes)
Considering ORAS is only a few months way and the fact these already have finalized official artwork and in-game models... I'd say they're far from unfinished. The game should probably be complete by now.

Audino? I seriously could have counted the FE Pokemon I care for less on my fingers. If we were gonna get a gen 5 mega I DEFINITELY would have voted for something cool and not the thing that was just the terrible "re-branding" of older Pokemon concepts and designs. I'm not even gonna have to think about it before saying that it is easily my least favorite pick for a mega EVER (yet). It actually got me using the thought process of how they're "wasting" limited slots that could have gonna to interesting things. I'm sure some people actually cared about Audino so sorry to you folks, just... uhh. I'd also put it on the list of least changed mega designs. Like the pattern that used to color block it's body lifted off into a cloak and it grew it's weird ear things again as a broach.... Somehow Audino was this thing that was supposed to be cute but all the factors of the design make me feel weirdly repulsed, like there's something squishily gross about it and those ear probosci are a HUGE part of that. M-Audino does not leave me feeling any differently... like it was meant to be pretty or cute but somehow missed that mark and landed in "subtly unnerving."

Slowbro... I don't really want to comment on whether I like it or not yet. It needs to sink in more. But it looks like a top. Like Rapid Spin and Gyro ball should be on it's move set if it looks like that. It's seriously gyrating on the tip of it's tail. I think I'll like it when the shock is over, but it also just feels like it's a very different entity from Slowbro. I don't mind the kind of unexpected bottom-light deffensive-top looking design. Or rather, I think I'll get used to that. What throws me off about it is it looks so top heavy that unless the thing is spinning I don't know how it balances itself up and if it falls over I can't imagine slowbro picking itself up again, and even if it could it would be a slow process. But I'll get used to it prolly... What I don't exactly like is how Slowbro's expression changed. Slowbro/poke's face has always said: "uhhhhh... what? somethiiiiiing... bad? I'm juuuuuust ...... happy. cause I dooooooon't... feel it" Where as now his face looks like his nervous system works and he's actually is capable of observing the world around him...no more vacant blissfully ignorant staring at nothing... no more derp face.
Of course, I guess it could be that he finally realized he's being eaten so the concern that should have come 15 years ago finally registered in his brain.....

I'm not gonna beat on their abilities yet. If nothing else (and in Slowbro's case there is something else) they are both potentially better abilities in doubles (the official format, and also a format used here) so that's not nothing.

(also props to Kurona, after the shots of Slowbro in contests yesterday he TOTALLY called that one)

they're probably going to be announced at gamescom

If GameFreak really was using popularity as a factor in deciding Megas, maybe they should have realized Audino's popularity might have owed itself to the fact it was an exp pinata in Generation V games. I wished its ability was something more useful, like Fur Coat. Just hoping more Unova mons have a mega in ORAS because Audino's just screams disappointment.

For all those who are iffy about Mega Salamence, I'll just leave this here.

Audino has one of the best supporting movepools for Doubles in the game. Now it'll be even more bulkier. It's Mega will be great in Doubles.

Also for Mega Slowbro. Bulky as heck. That Calm Mind set is scary, you won't be able to scratch it. Not to mention it has Scald and Slack Off! And has people forgotten that Knock Off doesn't get the boost against Mega Pokemon?
Slowbro's UU days are over!

Yeah, I just saw the stat increases and realized I *might* be wrong.

But it's still kinda shit as of now imo. But probably can't be worse than Banette.
I dont want to theorymon to the point where I start ranking him among other megas, but if I were to do so, mega bro would be about A- on the OU viability rankings outclassing all megas below that. As far as doubles go, he isnt that great, but could definitely find a place on my team.

Why dont people understand why this is a good thing? Mega bro is going to exclusively be a crobro. Shell armor is great for defensive boosting and you still have regen early on.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I was on the verge of crying in face of a at-first-glance useless mega (the first to lose an outstanding ability for a crappy one - just compare how a hidden ability can make a starter like Blaziken or Greninja top tier and hold others like Samurott back) and now I can at least see some utility over regenerator, especially since Slowbro does have access to recovery. Regenerator would've still been better, but I guess Calm Mind, Scald and Slack Off can be pretty scary in their own way.

I was doing some math and I'm excited for Mega Audino.
If Audino gets +45 in both defenses, it will outbulk Arceus. With +40 Defense/Special Defense, +20 Special Attack and maximun Defense investment, it can switch into the likes of Mega Scizor's Bullet Punch, CB Garchomp's Earthquake, Haxorus' Poison Jab and CB Talonflame's Brave Bird without fearing a 2HKO. Choice Band Scizor can 2HKO it, but cannot survive Fire Blast. Audino has access to Wish, Heal Bell, Encore, Thunder Wave, Screens, Trick Room, Heal Pulse, Helping Hand and an amazing special movepool, with the possible addition of Moonblast. If it only learned Will-o-Wisp...
About Slowbro, I guess I was just being skeptical. Mega Slowbro, much like Mega Sableye, tries to bring a new role to a Pokémon instead of just increasing its power. If you compare BW Venusaur and Mega Venusaur, you can see they changed its niche with great success. I guess CroBro will be the way to go for it.

Fair enough. He's still a pretty bad improvement on the base form imo, and that was more of my point (Mega possibly being A- is more of the base's merit).

Possibly. But like we all learned with mega gyarados after mocking it pre X and Y (at least I mocked it, not sure about everyone else) the base forms merits still benefit the mega. I definitely want to see this thing in action.

We got our Gen 5 mega, peeps. I kinda like it. I kind of dabble in double battles and might use it. Though depending on its bulk, I might use it in singles.

I like Mega Audino for what she represents (Gen 5 megas!)

As for Megabro, the design is kinda funny. And I'm okay with differing the mega and base form advantages. I'd like more Gyarados situations, where both the base and mega are viable, adding to the confusion and misdirection in team preview (also keeping the Megas from just flat out being better than the bases).

I was gonna just like your post. But I couldn't bring myself to hit like on a comment that included the phrase "I like Mega Audino" (though I am happy gen 5 megas are coming now)

But I do want to agree with the Slowbro thing. Way too many people are upset about Shell Armor, and I totally agree that this just means Slowbro has an alternative role it can play, but remains viable in both forms. "mystery megas" are cool so it'll always be fun to go up against a team with a Slwobro and a Scizro and just have to wonder before the battle starts.
Slowbro has always been a wall/ a check/ or a counter to bunch of things. A part of defensive cores that hold teams together. But now he can be a win condition! That's really cool. Eliminate the one or two sp.attackers that put immediate pressure on him and then bulk yourself into the untouchable range (which supposedly he'll already be close to.) No one will be laughing at Crobro when he's at +2 sp.def and you can't even hope for crtis to work around the fact you have nothing that 2HKOs him.
still getting used to the design though... that's still gonna take a little bit....
