Though I'm ambivalent towards the design, I'm hoping that new stats/typing/ability will help me warm up to Mega Sableye.

I'm going to breed a Sableye and nickname it Golum.
Are we sure that's a gem? Because it looks like Sableye looted Link's wallet for the biggest rupee it could find.

That's pretty interesting... I would presume massive Defense/Special Defense boosts, maybe with less Speed because it has to hide behind that gem all the time. I'm not sure what ability it'll get: Prankster seems perfect for Sableye and is literally the only reason to use it, but there's already a Ghost-type Mega Evolution with Prankster... the same thing applies to Magic Bounce and Absol. Any other ideas?
Is that with a +100 BST boost? Damn that's still pathetically low. Either Mega Sableye gets an insanely good ability or it will never see the light of the day.
Mega Mawile got Huge Power, so my guess is Sableye is going to get a powerful defensive ability.

Seriously hyped for Mega Sableye. My initial prediction was also an ability that boosts def/sp def, since its counterpart Mawile got Huge Power, and it's hiding behind the gem the whole time. Obviously won't get fur coat flavour-wise, so maybe a new ability that doubles Sp Def? Either way, can't wait until we hear about its new stat distribution.

Mawile is Sableye's counterpart and it got the best offensive ability in the game with its mega evolution, so it's not out of the question that Sableye would get the best defensive one.
Needless to say, if Mega Sableye does get Wonder Guard, it might end up being the first pokemon banned from ubers.
Not really, I mean, Fairy-types are super duper common, and it can still be worn down through hazards and status. Only time will tell.
Well, if people are just throwing out guesses for Mega Sableye's ability... Stance Change.
It allows them to fix the pathetic stats by working around the +100 limit. It fits with that big, "impervious" gem. It's very far out there, but I think it could fit both flavour-wise and power-wise.

Personally looking at what gamefreak did to Mega Mawile, i'm fully expecting to see Mega Sableye be a defensive counterpart to Mega Mawile's insane offensive capabilities. Wonder Guard seems like a bit much from a balance perspective (although mega kanga and mega gengar happened), so instead i'd imagine that Sableye will get an ability similar in effect to Furfrou's Fur Coat, just with a different name. Gem Block? idk lol.
Either way, if Fur Coat is correct, i fully expect a stat spread like this.

I'm betting if Sableye did get Wonder Guard, it would also get a type-change - Ghost/Rock, to fit with the addition of the giant gemstone. (Could also be Rock/Dark, but the two attacks the intro showed it using were Ghost attacks, so it would make more sense for it to keep Ghost.) It would fit flavorwise - the gem is impervious to all attacks except for those that can break rocks. (Ghost/Rock's weaknesses: Ghost, Dark, Water, Grass, Steel, Ground. Plenty of common types, but still a small enough number that Mega Sableye could be a threat.)
I really, really doubt that Gamefreak would give Sableye Wonder Guard (assuming it keeps its type, and even then it's unlikely). I think that the very fact that they created Fairy-types shows that they care about balance at least a little bit, and they probably wouldn't destroy that balance now. Even with entry hazards and Toxic, there's a reason that Wonder Guard is only on a 1HP Pokémon.
Assuming that new abilities can be added in some way, a Defense or Special Defense boosting ability would make a lot of sense thanks to the counterpart with Mawile. Stance Change is intriguing, but if I recall correctly that was coded specifically for Aegislash, meaning that it would require a similar update.

Alright, I have some questions to ask regarding the map.
1. What the hell is this? Where is the meteor falls? Is this a new area? (I don't remember it)
2. These swirls are weird, possible darkrai location? I hope.
3. That island seems a little odd, far ahead from anything else, anad no buildings on it, another legendary location?
4. Is that the shipwreck or an abandoned island? It has green if I can see correctly.
5. The desert seems way too small :x Where is the mirage tower?
6. It seems that Aqua's base has turned into a cave, oops.
7. Weird crator, it wasn't before, was it?
8. Another weird island, it is closer to the land than the previous one, but it is much, much bigger.
9. Am I the only one who notices that piece of land above the desert? Is that the possible new region mentioned in the trailer? HYPE

Mirage Island (or whatever) seems to be gone.

The clouds could be covering more areas, including the beloved battle frontier.

2. Yeah, it obviously Darkrai. Then again, I have a feeling it could the return of the Distortion World.
3. It is the Battle Frontier, what else it would be? LaRousse City? :)
4. Yeah what is that? Did they remove the abandoned ship and replace it with a new area? It is larger then Oldale Town.
5. The dessert may look small on the map, but it is still bigger then some cities and two towns combined.
6. Team Aqua's hideout looks more detailed then before.

8. Its basically a land just to surround the regions that is inaccessible like always.
9. That land above Fortree City is a dead end, but about the "new world," It is possibly hidden at the Northeast of Hoenn of the clouds.

I am not a know it all, but is it possible that those islands above the Ever Grande City that were part of the anime will be featured on OR/AS?
