So, would a team with Meloetta, Diancie and Aegislash serve as a good core (And before you say "Aegis is banned" I'm considering building a team for doubles/triples)
Meloetta is rather mediocre for doubles, aegislash is decent but given the way some cores are handled he might just be deadweight against other cores due to overpreparation. So, would a team with Meloetta, Diancie and Aegislash serve as a good core (And before you say "Aegis is banned" I'm considering building a team for doubles/triples)
If you're building a core for doubles, you'd be better off asking in the Doubles SQSA forums, which can be found here: http://www.smogon.com/forums/thread...ks-and-q-a-thread—read-before-asking.3498688/So, would a team with Meloetta, Diancie and Aegislash serve as a good core (And before you say "Aegis is banned" I'm considering building a team for doubles/triples)

I've only ever used Meloetta once in OU since the Normal / Fighting type looked good on paper with 128 Atk/Spe so it was like a M-Lop, but in practice it was really hard to use. It was difficult to find opportunities to Relic Song where it was actually worth it and it never really swept or cleaned any teams. I was probably using it wrong though lol. As for the regular form, I think one thing going for it is 128 SDef paired with 100 HP / 128 SAtk and U-turn, so it becomes a pretty decent pivot for offensive teams, especially ones that struggle with fast special attackers like Gengar, Alakazam, and Starmie. It's probably one of the few things on offense that can switch into Gengar thanks to its sneaky normal typing and can OHKO with Psychic if it's Scarf. Same goes for Alakazam and the like. Psychic typing with fighting coverage is looking really good in OU atm, which I think explains Alakazam's rise in popularity; Meloetta's normal typing just means it's a Psychic type that can actually switch into Gengar.I see, What about Singles. Wnat Niche could Meloetta do here in OU?
If you click on a thread, it will take you to the first post you haven't read unless you've read every post. If you haven't read it before, "first post" just happens to be the OP.EDIT: I have a question of my own. Whenever I click on a thread, it takes me to some arbitrary page rather than the OP. Like when I click on the Viability Rankings thread it takes me to page 47 to some random post. Is this set by the owner of the thread or does it have something to do with my web browser's cookies or whatever?
Technically the same,Is Roost or Recover better on Latias, or are they pretty much the same? I'm asking because they seem to be used interchangeably on her page.
Yes they function the same on non-Flying types. The difference is that on the low ladder some players think Lati@s will be grounded after Roost and attempt to Earthquake them iirc.Is Roost or Recover better on Latias, or are they pretty much the same? I'm asking because they seem to be used interchangeably on her page.
Roost is used more often due to the fact that it can trick people who think it removes ground immunity rather than flying type.Is Roost or Recover better on Latias, or are they pretty much the same? I'm asking because they seem to be used interchangeably on her page.
Is there a more latest role compendium? I'm trying to find some Wallbreakers

Is there any specific reason that Weavile almost always runs Life Orb over Choice Band nowadays?
In addition to your answer, I think one of the reasons specific to Weavile is that Ice + Dark + Fighting is really difficult coverage to switch into, but having a Choice Band makes Weavile a a bit easier to deal with since those types are pretty easily resisted in OU by Waters, Darks, Fightings, and Psychics/Poisons which are pretty much on every team. If Weavile locks itself into a single move, it becomes pretty easy to deal with as opposed to trying to switch into and deal with all three types. Plus, Knock Off is a stupid move and becomes easier to use because Weavile can threaten things like Garchomp out with Icicle Crash (and actually use it) but still hit the incoming switch with a Knock Off. Also, if I'm not mistaken, Choice Band gives boosts relative to the attack stat of the Pokemon, and since Weavile has base 120 Attack which is actually pretty mediocre for ORAS OU standards, it recieves less of a boost compared to something like Scizor. At max Atk, Weavile has 339 Atk, which is boosted to 508 with CB. That's a boost of 169 Atk. Scizor, on the other hand, has 394 Atk (Adamant tho) so it gains a boost of 197 Atk. That's the difference of 28 Atk, which may not seem like much, but that's the difference of almost 15 base power. Plus, Life Orb means it can run Swords Dance. Also it can pick off weakened Pokemon with Ice Shard without locking itself into a base 40 move.If it ran CB it'll need to switch out on quite a few mons and the SR weakness makes this harder. LO gives enough power with the freedom to switch moves.
it seems like it could ease prediction, but prankster torn-i seems like it could make a set with that. How would Sub Torn-T work? Does it sound good on paper?
sub bulk up with acro is a torn i set im pretty sureSince torn-t is primarily pivoting around, I don't see if having too much use. A sub taunt set could perhaps allow it to shut down some defensive mons, but its subs aren't exceptionally bulky. Sub bulk up is an option (fly and perhaps superpower as the attacking moves). Again, it will be mediocre.
I think the Custap Skarm EVs are like this:What's the best set for custap skarm? I don't see it in the dex. I'm pretty sure max speed with a boosting nature is best, but is it beneficial to minimize defenses to reduce the chance of being outsped and 2hkod or better to maximize defenses to potentially set up more than 2 layers? Thanks!
