If I were to trap a Pokemon with say Infestation or Block, and then use Baton Pass with the Pokemon that used Infestation or Block, would the opposing Pokemon still be trapped or will the opponent be able to switch?
The opponent would be able to switch if Infestation or another partially trapping move was used, but not one like Block that fully traps. Partially trapping moves stop trapping after a number of turns, so you could manually switch and the opponent's Pokemon would still be trapped. Block and other fully trapping moves like Spider Web and Mean Look last until the user switches out or one of the two Pokemon faints. Before generation 5 you could use Baton Pass and the Pokemon would still be permanently trapped, but not anymore.

So I don't know if I'm dumb or something is up with Showdown,
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/nubeta-129202336
on turn 6 Pangoro uses crunch and gets a defense drop on Malamar, however it's a Contrary Malamar (as they all are) but instead of it becoming a defense up it stays as a down.
Does Mold Breaker negate Contrary or did I get really unlucky?

Mold Breaker does negate Contrary, so the defense drop was correct. (See http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Mold_Breaker_(Ability) for more details.)

Hey guys had Knock Off on my Scizor then deleted it for U-Turn on a defog set. Now I have defog Latios and cant get knock off again unless I rebreed. I know Knock Off is a great move this gen but I already have a Conkeldurr with Knock Off. Should I rebreed Scizor and have two Knock Off users? Or should I keep quick attack/ get something else (pursuit, aerial ace, etc)

Scizor@Choice Band (252 Atk, 248 HP, 8 Sp Def)

-Bulletpunch
-U-Turn
-Superpower
- ???

It won't matter. Knock off isn't an egg move for Scyther/Scizor, so you can't get it back without breeding a new one in Gen 5 =/

If you are able to rebreed in Gen 5 though, then yeah, definitely go Knock Off.

Making a rain dance team and want Milotic on there. I'm thinking
Milotic
Marvel scale
Calm 252 Hp, 252 Sp.Defense, 6 speed
-Rain Dance
-Scald
-Substitute?
-Aqua Ring?/recover?

What I'm not sure on is the last 2 moves. Is aqua ring+big root > than aqua ring+leftovers?
Another thing is I'm not sure if I should go recover cause it won't be a fast pokemon due to ev training.

Pursuit is the best choice

Aqua Ring + Big Root would recover 0.08125 of your HP. Aqua Ring + Leftovers would recover 0.125 of your HP. So, Leftovers is better. It doesn't really matter if you're slow and you have Recover. Most Pokemon that use recovery are slow anyways since most defensive Pokemon are slow. So why use 4 turns of Aqua Ring when you can recover the same amount of HP in one turn? Recover is probably better than Aqua Ring.

Also when using Milotic remember why you are using it (unless it's just because Milotic is one of your favorite Pokemon/you want to test Milotic to see if it's any good), because Politoed/Deoxys-S/Tornadus are likely to outclass it unless you're using it for a specific reason. Also Substitute is probably a subpar option because it wastes rain turns, so Ice Beam is probably better since it allows you to get Grass and Dragon types that some rain sweepers struggle with.

tl;dr - recover is probably better, if using aqua ring then aqua ring + big root < aqua ring + leftovers, ice beam is probably better than substitute, milotic is probably outclassed

This is my Latios build on my stall team centering around Ditto. Latios acts as a standard special sweeper on this team, but I'd like to create a team that I can use in-game and without hacks (which I, and many others, oppose), a Latios like this will be impossible to obtain.

So, I'm looking for a replacement. My team consists of: Aggron, Ditto, Latios, Dragonite, Ferrothorn, Vaporeon.

I posted an RMT about the team called "OU Dittostall Team" a few days ago if you'd like to know more about it but the only thing you really need to know is that Latios is my special sweeper (who can defog) and that I struggle against fire and grass types the most.

Please let me know if you can think of an obtainable replacement for my Latios.

Ok, so this is something I have been wondering since forth gen, but was too stubborn to find out. Does having 0 IVs in a stat read as an even number when calculating Hidden Power?

Hey i'm attempting to get back into competitive battling again after not having seriously played since Mid February. All i've seen so far are the recent tier changes and a little about denis's BP team which apparently is causing a slight problem. Could Someone tell me what's out, what's in, and some general meta shifts since then?

Edit: Yay 100th post!

Yep.

From a post I made a number of pages back answering someone else asking this:

Kangaskhanite, Gengarite, and Lucarionite were banned to ubers, as was Genesect, and the move Swagger (to neuter the swagplay strategy). Charizard is the most-used pokemon now Aegislash is once again the most-used pokemon and Rotom's and Talonflame's usage have dropped a bit (though they're still very common). Aegislash was running mixed weakness policy sets for a long time but now leftovers or life orb tends to be the item of choice and it has begun running fully physical Swords Dance sets again. The good ol' early-Gen 5 combo of TTar + Sand Rush Excadrill has also gained in popularity and can devastate teams if you're not prepared. Conkeldurr's usage and usefulness has gone way down now that the metagame has sort of evolved around him because everything walls and kills him especially things like Mega Venusaur and the much-used Mega Mawile. Even Mega Scizor tends to run bulky Adamant with Roost now so it can pretty much do what it wants with him. Deoxys-D seems to be gaining a lot in popularity and is a huge threat because it always tends to get one or two layers of hazards up, and can carry a mental herb to block the prankster taunt. Sash Breloom is also coming back now that Bird Spam strategies have gone down a bit, and people have started running Technician Rock Tomb to take down birds on the switch in. Donphan is finally UU.

So true, agree with most of that. Ive personally been using and have encountered numerous Conkeldurr's lately due to his perfect pairing with Assault Vest and Drain Punch. Also Weakness Policy seems to be picking up alot on Aegi since his usual game of swords dance, kings shield, then shadow sneak is too predictable. Good point on Deoxys-D being a common lead, hes very predictable and I usually hold on sending out my lead if I see Deo-D in the preview, because its almost certain they'll send him out and proceed to spam spikes after stealth rock.
