Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Jumpluff!! Jumpluff is recently being discussed in the viability ranking do it's amazing speed tier and support moves pairing well with wallbreakers like exploud its most visble set being Acrobatics U-Turn Sleep Powder and EncoreMax Speed Max Atk.
(Also shouts outs to Diogo for helping me out with this one wanted to do Jimpluff but haven't used it yet)
So the team was centered around PoliPuff as I knew I needed to limit switch ins for Jumpluff and also stops some pokemon from setting up easilly like HC Durant and CM Diancie. Next I needed a back-up cleaner so I went with Tyrantrum w/ Rock Polish, this also seems to help with scarf fire-types particularly Delphox who can predict my Poliwrath when it comes in. I wanted Stealth Rocks and a Tyrantrum check so I decided on either Mawile or Flygon. At first I went with Mawile because it can also pass to my Tyrantrum and even Poliwrath. Now I wanted a safe switchin to psyhic-types like Meloetta and I wanted to use pursuit. Houndoom seemed applauding but then I then I noticed by big fighting weakness. Spiritomb fit in nicely. Now I needed a revenge killer that can help to remove grass-types. I like the idea of delphox and it doesn't get picked off to easilly by Mach Punches and Fletchinder's Acrobatics (unlike Emboar and Houndoom) and is always allowed me to Amoonguss with both of my STABs. I notice the I have a major ground weakness so I tested out Flygon > Mawile. I works really well but it is up to personal preference.

Started with Jumpluff and Tyrantrum as a core so Jumpluff could give Tyrantrum free turns to get in. Added Mesprit from there to give Tyrantrum another option to get in on a second go-round if needed. Accelgor is here as a spikes lead with a fantastic speed tier that can also revenge things, Eelektross is another Pivot and here for coverage, and Slowking is here as a final option for a sweeper that also appreciates free turns.
So um me and MrAldl with the mon Jumpluff next we added aggron since the two pair well with each other aggron can wall break while Jumpluff can give it free switch in oppurtneties with u-turn.Next we added SD Shuca to lure and weaken Mega-Lix and Rhyperior. Added Flygon cause turn core and gave a fire and ground immnuty and resist. Added toad for rocks and for a fletch check. Finally added Sigi to take advantage of Mega-Lix being weaken and can Rick over stall
Team get raped by Meha Abomasnow and also Virizion if Jumpluff is gone so watch out

To start, every sun team needs a Setter. Liepard is a great priority sun setter, but it's extremely frail. So I've got Uxie here to be a bulky sun setter, rock setter, and with Memento, you can also memento to give one of your sweepers a turn of setup, which is often needed. Venusaur and Victreebel are both Growth Sweepers with Chlorophyll. Essentially, you're going to want to send it in on something that would be switched out by it's presence, or use Memento to force a switch. After that, you go for Growth and sweep during the limited turns the sun is active. Tyrantrum is here as both a cleaner and a flying resist, since this team doesn't like Fletchinder. Houndoom is here as a fire switch-in because this team doesn't like fire that much either. It's also a secondary sweeper.
Now let's move on to the new week starting with a fairy of our own:
Diancie!! Diancie is one of the new drops RU got and made an incredible splash in the tier. It's common sets are Defesnive Stealth Rocks, Offesnive Rock Polish, and Trick Room Offensive. Diancie is basically a low risk high reward min be able to check some popular RU Poemmon and like Houndoom, Sigilyph, Meloetta, Exploud etc. It does have some probleams having a very small movepoool which isn't really that big of a deal since it already has what it needs.
Since Slurmz was the only one to post the winner is Slurmz!!!!
This week mon is now :
Venasaur !!! Venu is one of the new mons that droped it's most commonly using set is Life Orb three attacks their also been popularity with Sword Dance. Venu is most commonly seen of more balance or bulky offense teams.
OMG Vensaur finally :D. Venusaur is quickly becoming a highly valued nuke and for good reason too. The idea of this team is just a moderately bulky offense built around the nuking capabilities of Venusaur. The idea is to trap and kill psychic types which trouble scarf Medicham and Life Orb Venusuar. Vensaur is such a powerhouse and forces in a linear set of checks and counters. This lets me gain momentum with an easy double or even an easy kill if I can double in Absol on a Bronzong. Offensive Seismitoad is really underrated as a rocker for offense, it has a good matchup vs other leads and has a lot of switchin opportunities while restricting opposition switchins as well. Samurott rounds out the core as a late game sweeper and Aerodactyl provides a Linda Check and much needed speed control.

Venusaur is kind of overrated tbh. Always struggling to find what move to fit on a moveset since synthesis, sleep powder, hp fire, grass moves and sludge bomb cant be run on the same set but that doesnt mean it is a bad mon. Make the decision of running sleep powder + 3 attacks cause hidden power fire is too important on this build otherwise escavalier is free to weaken or kill something so extra insurance is always good. Next decided to add a durant cause it is durant, scarf variant to provide pivoting and momentum and it loves venusaur dealing with the water types. Added gurdurr cause it is an excellent win condition and one of the best dark type checks the tier have as its disposal. Next, an aerodactyl cause needed a flying resist and since I couldnt fit a dark type decided to run pursuit on it to alleviate potential issues with psychic types to an extent. Durant + a pursuit mon like aero should be enough.
Next added a sigilyph cause needed something for fighting types and lol medicham xD so there is that. Psychic cause I can run with gurdurr in here. Last slot needed a water resist, stealth rock and something for sharpedo to not shit on my life so seismitoad (FROG) it is.
Since this venusaur doesnt have recovery, opposing grass types like tangrowth and virizion are threats. Play accordingly.
Overview:- I got a chance to post a team here and I will not miss this chance. For Week-22 we got venusaur as the mon to make a team around it so luckily I had a team with venusaur which I had made a week ago. Venusaur is such a sweet and offensive mon to make a team around it. Venusaur's typing makes it weak to fire , flying , ice and psychic so keeping this in mind I've made a team which will help venusaur to set up. It is a standard pokemon which is used on stall , balanced and bulky offensive teams. Its defensive typing makes it easy to handle electric , fairy , fighting , grass and water. It is capable of running an offensive set so with this I made the same set and EVs spread.
Why and How?(Descriptions)
1. Venusaur- Its a sure mon to use in the thread. Its main purpose its to stop the threats which are really common in the tier and help its team mates to set rocks and removes hazards and much more.Overgrow is the ability is used in order to gain more HP by giga drain when this pokemon has 1/3 of its HP.With its 252 SpA it makes it easily to handle alomomlola and squad.Sludge Bomb is the another move used to faint Virizion and other grass mon. Moreover It doesn't have many checks/counters so its good mon to use instead.
2. Houndoom - Nasty Plot Houndoom's Special Attacker is such a beast , its level is so high , which allows houndoom to easily blast its way through defensive oriented teams. Fireblast 2HKOS the bulky mons moreover it gets dark oulse which has 20% chance to flinch + its accu is 100% and a nice coverage with Fire Blast. Its a good mon to use with Venusaur since it handles fire type mons easily and other ice types as well. Its powerful LO boosted STAB sucker punch is also good to use against mons with higher speed than this or on scarfs.
3. Bronzong - This pokemon easily find oppurtunities to set stealth rock with its solid bulk! Leftovers is also a good item to use on. Bronzong's Gyro Ball is the STRONGEST STAB move and it powered up by its low speed.Earthquake is also a good move on this to hit Fire-Types and toxic to cripple Switch-Ins and wear them down so teammates can break past them easier. Moreover its a mon which handles groudon moves which Venusaur and houndoom found it difficult.
4. Fletchling - Fletchinder has an excellent ability in Gale Wings, giving +1 priority to Acrobatics and Roost and making it a great late-game cleaner.Though Fletchinder has a mediocre Attack stat, its access to Swords Dance mitigates this issue.Swords Dance boosts Fletchinder's Attack to dangerous levels, letting it sweep through anything that doesn't resist Acrobatics.Roost gives fletchinder reliable recovery easily since it has gale wings. This mon is such a devil.
5. Spiritomb - When compared to most Pokemon in the tier, Spiritomb is unique in that it possesses three immunities and a lone weakness to Fairy thanks to its Ghost / Dark typing, allowing to check a myriad of Pokemon, including Meloetta, Malamar, and Gallade.Sucker Punch is a powerful priority move and is Spiritomb's most powerful physical Dark-type STAB attack.Pursuit allows Spiritomb to trap Pokemon such as Meloetta and Uxie, and the move pairs well with Sucker Punch, forcing the opponent into mind games.Taunt is a great move which prevents the healing of pokemons.I love <3 this pokemon.
6. Blastoise - Blastoise is a really great addition to the tier I feel.Scald is a consistent STAB attack that also has a burn chance. Rapid Spin allows Blastoise to remove entry hazards that wear down its teammates especially fletchling.Toxic is used to weaken opposing walls, especially Jellicent, which is immune to Scald and Rapid Spin, as well as Pokemon that either resist or are immune to Scald.Leftovers gives Blastoise passive recovery. It has some weaknesses tho but still its not a problem since it is helped by its teammates tanking those moves/pokemons.
Hope I've provided sufficient information and want you to play with it , its awesome and you'll enjoy to play with this.
