Scald burns are irrelevant. Agility makes faster revenge killers fall. HydroPump and Scald are still some powerful stabs. Great for getting the surprise kills on Fergs "counters." A lot of special walls are weak to fighting which makes this set very potent and very fun to use!

Nothing too special here. Agility doubles Speed and makes it really hard to revenge kill. It already has really good power so it can forgo the extra wallbreaking power from Dragon Dance or Swords Dance and function more as a powerful late-game cleaner.

Mono-attacking DD RestTalk Feraligatr, because I wanted to be able to switch into stuff like CroCune, boost until I caught a burn (at which point they usually think it's safe to set up) and then Rest off the burn.
I'm on mobile right now, but the spread is pretty specific. In particular, the Speed always puts you ahead of Adamant Gatr, and at +1 means you outspeed 212+ Crobat. (It also of course covers slower things like Pidgeot.) The Attack is enough to always 2HKO Suicune from full at +6 in case you get into set-up wars, with the rest in bulk.

Since all of Gatr's sets involve some form of setup, I thought that I'd give an all-out attacker set a try. This set acts as a wallbreaker and is capable of luring some of Feraligatr's checks such as Mega Aggron, Chesnaught, Tangrowth, physically defensive Umbreon, and co. Nothing can be done about Suicune unfortunately. A Naughty nature is best to maximize Gatr's power for wallbreaking and revenge killing things with Aqua Jet. 200 Spe outpaces standard Fletchinder and Honchkrow and below.
Waterfall is obviously the obligatory STAB move and Gatr's strongest move with Sheer Force. Focus Blast is part of what makes the set and is important for beating Meggron, Empoleon, Forretress, defensive Umbreon, Sharpedo, Alomamola and Porygon2 among others. Crunch is needed for Slowking as well as other Psychic and Ghost types like Bronzong, Jellicent, Gourgeist, Doublade, Reuniclus and slightly weakened Cresselia. Aqua Jet makes the matchup against offense easier, revenge killing faster threats. Ice Punch and Ice Beam can fit on any one of the latter three slots and get important coverage against Dragons and Grass types like Whimsicott, Salamence and Chesnaught which aren't covered by the Water/Fighting/Dark coverage. Ice Beam is more effective against Chesnaught, Tangrowth, Gourgeist and defensive Whimsicott while Ice Punch has more raw power thanks to Gatr's higher Attack stat.

This Feraligatr set aims to exploit two of the pokemon commonly used on balance as one-time phazers to Feraligatr, Empoleon and Swampert. It is simple- when you get a dragon dance on a predicted switch, the opponent will likely switch to Swampert or Empoleon, and use Roar- at the same time you use Roar. Because Feraligatr is faster, its Roar "outspeeds" the opponent, and instead the opponent will be phazed out.
If you are really bold, you can use Swords Dance instead of Dragon Dance, which helps to destroy stall. It is especially useful when faced against Roar Suicune or Roar Mega Aggron.

Feraligatr trades a coverage move(Crunch) for the ability to take both balance and offence to the cleaners, as Feraligatr can always use Agility vs Offense and outspeed most things in the tier while using SD instead vs balance or stall to hit like a truck(or, if you're feeling particularly evil, you can always set-up both), although it should be noted that the loss of a coverage move in the form of Crunch means that this set needs a little more support to remove some additional checks.
