Just going to point out that if Sucker Punch is used, Naive should be the nature, not Timid.

Anyways.

Life Orb
Flamethrower & Substitute
Heavy Offense (Rain or Weatherless)

Zoroark still gets some important koes with Flamethrower even if we do end up choosing rain.

Life Orb
Flamethrower & Substitute
Heavy Offense (Rain or Weatherless)

Life Orb because Zoroark and survivability don't go together anyways. He needs the power.

That sub is going to help Zoroark out so, so much. Imagine how awesome it'll be to send in Zoroark disguised as say, Landorus, then you can sub as they switch to whatever their counter for Lando is. Then as they do whatever it is they usually do against Lando, you smash them with the appropriate attack and BAMN your actual Lando now has a clean sweep ahead of it. Substitute does more than help buffer Zororaks weak defenses, it also makes it a more effective lure and allows him to defeat faster/prioirity wielding foes he'd normally lose to, assuming he subs on the switch.

Flamethrower and Nasty Plot is a bit of a toss up for me though, I went with flamethrower because of the potential to take out Scizor from behind a sub, but Nasty Plot has its advantages too. We can always switch them out later on if we find we have to though.

Heavy Offense is obviously the one of choice, since it fits Zoroark's strengths the best. Get in, break down a counter or check, clean up with the rest of your team. Stall might be interesting but it'd just be too difficult to pull it off, especially for a community project. Sand and Hail fuck with Illusion and benefit Zoroark little, while Sun just can't afford the teamslot for him. Balance/bulky offense might work too, but there are issues with that too.

@Slim man, damn Troll Freak, not giving Fire Blast to our black fox, and giving it to pokes such as Blissey... Once again i am amazed by their logic.

Leftovers
Substitute and Flamethrower
Balance/Bulky Offense (Weatherless)

@Jimera, the problem with your scenario, is that most of the pokes that use Sub, such as Landorus, SubDisable Gengar, Jirachi and Latias, use Leftovers, so the opponent will know that something is up when he doesn't see the Lefties recovery.

That's why the best teammates will be pokes that use Sub, but without Lefties. SubTerrakion, Pain Split Gengar, Sub Mienshao and Sub Alakazam are all good choices. SubTerrakion seems as an especially good partner, as Zoroark can lure and kill pokes such as Gengar, Gliscor, Slowbro and Scizor. If we chose SubTerrakion we might as well forgo Flamethrower for HP Ice to get the OHKO on Gliscor.

Life Orb
Flamethrower and Protect
Sun offense

Let's face it, Leftovers will only see any sort of use if zoroark ends up running Sub or the team is sand offense. As I've said before, Protect allows our foxy friend to scout the opponent's reaction before and after its cover is blown, and with a mon as frail as Zoroark, one simply cannot afford to make that kind of mistake. As it has no bulk to speak of, his best bet is to hit as hard as possible.

Many sun sweepers, such as Venusaur and Volcarona, are specially based (though I have seen a physically bulky version of the latter that 6-0ed me all by itself), which fits well with Zoroark's focus on special attacks, and as a bonus it boosts Flamethrower. Ninetales also outspeeds all other weather starters, which is pretty cool. Arcanine's Intimidate can soften the blow of all the fighting-types in the tier that make Zoroark's life hell, and it has a ton of versatility.

BS school making me a john...

Anyway:
Life Orb
Flamethrower + Substitute
Heavy Offense (Weatherless or Rain)

I don't see the point of running lefties if you're going to take a load of damage, if not getting KO'd by every decently powered attack anyway that COULD have been prevented if you had more power to KO the attacker before it happened to yourself.

Sub because of the fact it gives a scape goat to Zoroark and generally is more effective for scouting. Flamethrower and NP where hard choices, mainly because the massive power boost provided by NP makes up for less SE coverage. Then again, Focus Miss is Focus Miss and many Steel types are hit harder by Flamethrower anyway, most notably Scizor. In the end, my hate of Focus Miss won me over.

Finally, HO because Stall sucks.
Seriously now, weatherless offense is better as Zoro won't be able to copy the Speed of Venusaur should it accidentally appear as that. Or be able to copy Dry Skin as Toxicroak etc. Thus, here it can't worry about that and will be able to abuse Illusion much better.
