Resource OU Sample Set Submissions

Screens Zama
:SV/zamazenta:
Zamazenta @ Light Clay
Ability: Dauntless Shield
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Close Combat/Body Press
- Roar/Ice Fang

im suprised this hasn't been suggested, it's a decent screens setter that isn't named deo-s, has good stuff such as high speed, good MU's into mons such as hrott/lu & has phazing to check sweepers. Also not easy to knock off considering it threatens knockers such as things like hrott/treads that other screens setters like deo-s & a-tales have more trouble with.
- also has access to body press as an alternative and it can run stuff like ice fang for mons like scor & chomp

also have an iron moth set that i find suprisingly not nominated or a sample set on showdex

Choice Specs Iron Moth
:SV/iron-moth:

Iron Moth @ Choice Specs
Ability: Quark Drive
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fiery Dance
- Sludge Wave
- Energy Ball
- Overheat

this set is quite effective under sun, you can two shot checks such as gking & ting lu & deal considerable chip to AV alomomola. alongside tera fire and you can seriously break teams.

252 SpA Choice Specs Tera Fire Iron Moth Fiery Dance vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Slowking-Galar in Sun: 282-332 (71.5 - 84.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Tera Fire Iron Moth Fiery Dance vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Vessel of Ruin Ting-Lu in Sun: 260-306 (50.5 - 59.5%) -- 82.4% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Choice Specs Tera Fire Iron Moth Fiery Dance vs. 0 HP / 252 SpD Alomomola in Sun: 258-304 (54.7 - 64.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Tera Fire Iron Moth Energy Ball vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Alomomola: 238-280 (44.5 - 52.4%) -- 19.9% chance to 2HKO

Booster SpAtt Iron Moth
:sv/iron-moth:

Iron Moth @ Booster Energy
Ability: Quark Drive
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fiery Dance
- Sludge Wave
- Energy Ball
- Substitute/Overheat/Dazzling Gleam

this is just the same set as booster speed but with booster special attack instead, i find this to honestly be better than the booster speed varients imo. you deal way more damage compared to booster speed which makes it a bit more consistent, overheat can be an option as with +1 after a fiery dance you can ohko gking.

252 SpA Quark Drive Iron Moth Fiery Dance vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Slowking-Galar: 121-144 (30.7 - 36.5%) -- 62.7% chance to 3HKO
+1 252 SpA Quark Drive Iron Moth Overheat vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Slowking-Galar: 295-348 (74.8 - 88.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Swords Dance Tealpon
:SV/ogerpon:

Ogerpon (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Ivy Cudgel
- Rock Tomb
- Knock Off

can be a good set on gterrain teams, with rcok tomb you can lure and remove moltres & dragonite and deal solid chip to corv. good cleaner late game once the strong physical grass resists have been chipped

Champions

Archaludon @ Leftovers
Ability: Stamina
EVs: 15 HP / 19 SpA / 32 SpD
Modest Nature
- Electro Shot
- Draco Meteor/Flash Cannon
- Aura Sphere
- Protect

Build more bulk so Archaludon has time to set up with Stamina boosting Defense and Electro Shot boosting Special Attack in the rain without needing a charge turn. Speed adjustment sufficient to outspeed Mega Alakazam under Tailwind. Aura Sphere helps cover Kingambit if there’s no other Fighting type on the team.

This is sample sets for OU, not Champions. Sorry!

thundurus-therian.gif

Offensive Utility (:thundurus-therian:) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Volt Absorb
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Knock Off
- Grass Knot
- Taunt

Volt switch lets thundy-t maintain momentum while bringing its teammates in safely if predicting a switch. Knock off dents rocks weak mons like :moltres: and :dragonite:, and grass knot lets it hit the grounds like :great-tusk: and :ting-lu:. Taunt prevents recovery from :toxapex:, :blissey:, and :zapdos:.

Quite an interesting set

gen 9 ou:

Blaziken @ Life Orb
Ability: Speed Boost
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant/Jolly Nature
- Protect
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- Flare Blitz

sword dance blaziken is not incredibly reliable, this blaziken set allows it to break early game and sweep late game. from experience best on gliscor/ting lu hazard stack. adamant for damage, jolly lets outspeed pult at +1. if adamant have good switch ins for pult (e.g. garg, lu, spedef clef). tera fighting lets it two shot physdef alo. could pair with alo for wish support if you want

Gen 9 ou:
Tornadus-Therian (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hurricane/Bleakwind Storm
- Focus Blast
- U-turn
- Weather Ball/Grass Knot

rain teams are bad, but this is of the few reasons to run it. slightly helps the wellspring issue due to outspeeding and one shotting. does get one shot by cudgel in rain so doubles or pivoting in on a grass move are your best shots. heres the insane damage: 252 SpA Choice Specs Tera Flying Tornadus-Therian Hurricane vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Gholdengo: 173-204 (45.7 - 53.9%) -- 94.1% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock
run bleakwind and grass knot if not of rain - however would not recommend it outside of rain teams.

kind of surprised this isnt on the sample sets as whilst not common its not exactly super niche.

:moltres:
Not a full set but adding a SpD Moltres spread could be good, idk how simple/complex sample spreads should be so here's some that get used and some differences between them in case explanations are required here.

Calm 248/0/0/0/248/12 - basic spd

Calm 248/0/72/0/176/12 - usually lives Samurott Razor Shell and Walking Wake Hydro Steam (not specs), 3HKO by Lorb Darkrai Dark Pulse

Calm 248/0/56/0/188/16 - speed creep, still lives Band Hoopa-U Hyperspace Fury, still lives +2 0 dead Kingambit Kowtow Cleave, 3HKO by Timid Soul Dew Latios Draco Meteor

Bold 252/0/144/0/96/16 - lives Ogerpon-W Ivy Cudgel and basically dumps the rest into SpD
