Pro zarya tips if you want them:
1) Don't feel like you need to activate your shields as soon as you get them. They're unique in that you can get more value by waiting for the right moment, instead of something like 76's rockets where you can get value basically every time you use them.
2) Activate your own shield after you engage in combat, so they're already firing upon you. If you activate it before you engage in combat, they could just ignore you for the 2 seconds and give you no energy
3) Only use projected barrier on teammates that you know will recieve damage shortly. Diving genjis and winstons are the best candidates, not something like the zenyatta behind the rein shield
4) Use primary fire for most, if not all, single targets. It can output more consistent damage and is easier to aim. It can also bypass deflect and defense matrix. Use secondary fire for out of range enemies, juggling, or, of course, groups.
5) Coordinate Graviton with someone else's ultimate, or with other teammates. Used alone, it's pretty weak tbh
Hope this helps!
Ahaha, no idea why you did but I don't really need Zarya tips and stuff. The only thing I'm not comfortable with Zarya previously, is her beam but that thing is super good now and reliable. Also in the past, her right clicks was easier for me to aim :p unless it's like tanks. But that's different now woo!!!!
i fucking can't climb right now holy shit, I've never gotten so frustrated over a game before, ranked is an absolute shithole. it's so fucking bad. sombra instalocks, pharahs that can't be dealt, widows that don't miss a single shot and wipe entire teams... goddamn this patch is fucking cancer lmao, why blizzard couldn't wait one week to release it in off-season is beyond me.
all i wanted was master man, i was 60 points away at some point, but nah.. sombra instalock. "so others dont pick her!" "i wanna try her out :D"
On one hand you have diamond dps players who have really bad hitscan aim and can't deal with pharah, on the other you have actually annoying widows. Comp is basically so luck based as to what teammates you get lol. While the skill variance is huge in like gold/plat, it is still pretty huge in diamond even though it's probably less. Pretty saddening Z_Z
comp imo is just glorified qp haha and for farming cp. There isn't really a point in playing comp too seriously because it isn't even near representative of serious play either sighs :/ only partyq is anywhere near what proper comp should feel like. In a way that's a good thing I guess because the design of OW favors teamwork a lot more than individual DM. okay just me rambling~
That really doesn't sound right.
Also just got called "wow really nice Sombra" after an easy win using her :^)
HOW do you not autotilt teammates by picking Sombra. That's a pleasent surprise hahaha. Soloq/partyq on that ?

Anyhow, I feel like Zarya's energy isn't as important as it was due to how the beam is so good now ? Her damage is pretty nice even at an okay energy. I watched Mighty Storm vs Lunatic Hai and MS's Zarya kept building Graviton before LH Ana during KOTH lol. It's gonna be interesting observing how the ult change comes into play. Ult building isn't as straightforward as before. Typically I used to track ult build at a more constant manner, with some adjustment on player performance. Like more or less you can expect a certain ult to be up by a certain time. However, now it seems pretty messy. A great DPS could even build ult faster than Ana consistently. There's a greater need to identify which enemy is doing more damage etc to properly estimate all enemy ults. Also there's a greater reward/punishment for building ults faster/slower. A Dragonblade built before defensive support ults can just devastate and make the disparity between both teams larger, even though 25% isn't that huge of a change in terms of raw time to build. It's about the change in window of times where ults are useful, ults are less useful, if you get what I mean. Teams who can abuse this change to a greater degree would be able to stomp. Screwing up an ult has a greater cost, not just in time to build, but with synching ults as well.
As for Sombra, I personally feel like pros haven't really developed tactics and compositions with her to be confident in using her yet. She isn't as strong a flanker as Tracer/Genji, and isn't that good to stay with the team full time like McCree/S76 either. To kinda quote Harsha, while EMP may be really strong it might not be worth running her because of her base kit. Her base kit is really middling and out of place. At most she'd replace Mei in some situations maybe? Does anyone know if healthpacks give ult on self damage heals btw? Since healer ults don't build from healing self damage. Just curious because that would open up strategies for last point holds/pushes if it does build ult. Does healthpack discriminate hahaha.
Healer ults have been fixed btw. Not sure how long ago but an official post has been made 6h ago. And as for anyone interested, Talespin left nv.
