Personality Test '12

got intp.

  • You have strong preference of Introversion over Extraversion (78%)
  • You have moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing (38%)
  • You have distinctive preference of Thinking over Feeling (75%)
  • You have moderate preference of Perceiving over Judging (44%)

i took this four months ago with the same outcome. i did get intj once about a year ago, but i've taken this at least three times since then and i've invariably received intp. i've read the description though and it seems fairly accurate!

A bit impressed, I'm very into working on simple muscle cars, got ISTP- first career listed was Mechanics & Automotive Repair.

INTJ :o

  • You have strong preference of Introversion over Extraversion (78%)
  • You have moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing (38%)
  • You have moderate preference of Thinking over Feeling (25%)
  • You have moderate preference of Judging over Perceiving (33%)
Whatever that all means!

But seriously though, the portrait for an INTJ does actually seem pretty accurate. Although I personally feel I'm more of an ISFP in some ways... 9.9

ISFJ
Introvert(78%) Sensing(12%) Feeling(25%) Judging(44%)
You have strong preference of Introversion over Extraversion (78%)
You have slight preference of Sensing over Intuition (12%)
You have moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking (25%)
You have moderate preference of Judging over Perceiving (44%)

If only I knew what the majority of that meant...
Not surprised introverted is my major personality characteristic, though.

INFJ

  • You have distinctive preference of Introversion over Extraversion (67%)
  • You have slight preference of Intuition over Sensing (19%)
  • You have moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking (38%)
  • You have slight preference of Judging over Perceiving (11%)
That's actually very accurate. Also, in the suggested schools, it has Full Sail University, which is pretty cool since I'm planning on going there. It also suggested I should go into teaching or social services which is funny because I find kids very annoying. lol

Heck yeah Mother Teresa is my home girl!

ENTJ

You have distinctive preference of Extraversion over Introversion (67%)
You have moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing (50%)
You have moderate preference of Thinking over Feeling (38%)
You have moderate preference of Judging over Perceiving (33%)

INTJ - Absolutely no surprises there, I've basically always got that, though curiously I'm quite close to INFJ now, vastly more than when I was younger.

INTJ

You have moderate preference of Introversion over Extraversion (56%)
You have distinctive preference of Intuition over Sensing (69%)
You have moderate preference of Thinking over Feeling (25%)
You have distinctive preference of Judging over Perceiving (67%)

No surprises here!

some time ago i read a beautiful turn of phrase, i forget if it was from an essay or a book but it described introverts as people who, at the end of the day, go home to curate the day's experiences

i really liked that, i wish i knew where i read it

Still the same as I was when I took this late last year.

ISFJ
Introvert(22%) Sensing(50%) Feeling(38%) Judging(11%)

  • You have slight preference of Introversion over Extraversion (22%)
  • You have moderate preference of Sensing over Intuition (50%)
  • You have moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking (38%)
  • You have slight preference of Judging over Perceiving (11%)
Hm, my percentages changed though. Was this last time:

  • Introverted: 22%
  • Sensing: 12%
  • Feeling: 25%
  • Judging: 11%
I thought these were kinda BS until I took it last time and realized how well they described me (aside from ISFJs apparently being very dedicated to their faith whereas I'm about as agnostic as they come).

INFJ

  • You have strong preference of Introversion over Extraversion (89%)
  • You have moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing (25%)
  • You have slight preference of Feeling over Thinking (12%)
  • You have marginal or no preference of Judging over Perceiving (1%)
Not a surprise; I got INFP last time, so my J vs P swings back and forth quite a bit. Introversion was about 60% last time; safe to say I'm fairly introverted, and the rest of them make a decent bit of sense.

The only part that irked me was that it said I champion a cause and not for my own personal glory; this is patently false about it. Alot of things I do (would it be both fortunate or unfortunate) is probably tailored to suit my own needs and to further my own goals, even though I do make it a very high priority to help others whenever they need it.

ESTJ
Extravert(11%) Sensing(12%) Thinking(62%) Judging(11%)

- You have slight preference of Extraversion over Introversion (11%)
- You have slight preference of Sensing over Intuition (12%)
- You have distinctive preference of Thinking over Feeling (62%)
- You have slight preference of Judging over Perceiving (11%)

Makes sense, though the description makes me sound more boring than I like to think of myself. Besides, what do the percentage really mean? I know I indeed prefer Thinking over Feeling, but why does that get 62%?

By saying you're as agnostic as they come you're saying you are very dedicated to your [lack of] faith. My wife scored ISFJ and it all describes her well except the part about psychic mumbo jumbo and she's an atheist so the part about faith she didnt like either. I predicted she would be INFJ because I liked that description for her. She had slight to no preference of S to N so she is a mix of the two.

ENTP just like vader!!! I consistently get the same result after taking this same test online and offline

Why don't they capitalize the last letter occasionally?

they're actually two different personality typologies!! myers-briggs types are written in allcaps while things like INTp and ENTj are socionics types

Given the formal similarities present between Socionics and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) abbreviations frequently used in English, some prefer to distinguish socionic type names from Myers-Briggs' names by writing the last letter (J or P) in lower case (for example, ENTp, ESFj) (wikipedia)

I'm no expert (and skimmed most of the technical stuff really) but fwiw I've seen it claimed variously that

1) the last letter is swapped for introverts but can be directly converted for extroverts (ie INTp = INTJ and INTj = INTJ but ESFp = ESFP and ESFj = ESFJ)
2) INTp = INTx but ESFp = ESFP
3) there's no correlation
